Good for special occasions

Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Amelia’s Trattoria offers a personal and authentic dining experience using top local ingredients infused with the heart of its Italian chef.

We ended up asking our server to cancel our reservation at Amelia’s so we could go to their sister restaurant Sulmona, which we did and had a very nice dinner with excellent food and service as usual.

Had a great meal at Amelias, the pasta and seafood were superb. The service needs some attention. It seemed like the waiters and waitress' were running around frantically and were being very loud about it.

Very nice neighborhood feeling spot, staff was very attentive and friendly, food was very good and served piping hot. Skimpy on bread bright to the table but they were happy to bring more. Great speciality cocktail selection.

We made a reservation, but despite that had to wait half an hour for a table. The food was very meh. The bread at the beginning was pre bagged and not very nice. The meal was dripping in butter and cheese in a way that was excessive and overwhelming not indulgent and delicious. The staff had visible side conversations talking about guests as well.

It was our second visit and we will be back! The staff are all warm and friendly while providing great service! Chef is outstanding! The food is amazing second visit was on par with our first everyone loved thier dishes. Thank you Ameilas we will see you again!
