Despite having to wait 30+ minutes after our reservation, the food and service was very good.
Food was excellent! Great steak, fish and burgers. Everything was fantastic!
An amazing place to be in the staff is super friendly. To top up the food is awesome ...a just visit place
Loved the ambiance and the wait staff is extremely attentive. Menu selection is good with a lot of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options.
The food is delicious and I have Celiac, and in the many many times I've eaten here, I have never once gotten sick.
Great brunch menu and good outdoor seating with heat lamps!
Excellent Food & Drinks, Staff was very courteous and the place was very welcoming. Fast and friendly service, would definitely come back and refer others to go as well!
Friends BD
Excellent food & Excellent service id definitely go back.
Also recommend the Mango mojito!
Went there for brunch on a Sunday and really liked their menu selection and drink specials. Service was great. Had no issue getting a reservation. Def would return for brunch on the weekends.
Tuna bowl, Kobe sliders and tacos - each of the 3 of us loved what we had - good coffee afterwards!
Always good Benedicts at Amelia’s. Their menus are extensive for breakfast. Dinner is also good; portions are filling. The staff is very mindful about Covid-19 prevention. Outdoor tables are subject to wind since close to waterfront, but overall a pleasant dining experience.
Food and service good. The distance between my husbands chair and the guest who came well after us was mere inches. No Not acceptable these days. As a result we will not be back
The food is incredible! The prices are very fair considering how much food you get with each dish! Highly recommend, but do try to sit either inside or under a heat lamp if you prefer to eat outside. (OR bundle up!) There's some tables outdoors that have no heat lamps (ie our table) and the brisk, fall/pre-winter weather makes it hard to concentrate on anything else other than how cold it was. We had a reservation for indoor dining and were told it would be a 30+ minute wait for a table inside even with the reservation... understandable given the COVID space restrictions, but still frustrating, especially since we were freezing the entire time. I will definitely be back, but hopefully under a heating lamp or inside!!`
Had a very pleasant brunch at this spot over the weekend. Nice atmosphere that offers indoor and outdoor dining options. Made reservations for 1pm and was not seated until 1:40pm. Despite our wait, the hostess was pleasant. We were given the options to order off either the brunch or lunch menu, and drinks were only $4.
Food was so good and the server (Ron) was so accommodating especially as we had a 5 year old with us. The mimosa brunch special was amazing and overall value for it all has made This place my new go-to brunch spot!
Had a great time with friends. Definitely recommended
Al fresco til death! The seared tuna bowl is a flavorful, filling yet light lunch choice. Quality ingredients, terrific preparation, and excellent service from Danny G. A hot toddy cocktail for fall? Yes, please!
Lovely setting on a corner in Jersey City. Menu was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Coffee and water refills often. Hostess and waiter was pleasant and responsive. Food was a bit below fantastic. Western omelette could have been a bit more flavorful, seemed like chef just added un sautéed peppers and ham in middle of an already cooked omelette. Banana pancakes were incredible though. Restrooms very clean. Everyone following great COVID protocols. Despite, omelette issue- this place definitely deserves the 4 stars.
Wonderful service! Top notch food and drinks. This is my new favorite spot. Our waiter was so attentive and helpful.
Came here for the first time for Sunday brunch and dined outside. The service was very good and everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed my crab cake Benedict except the English muffins were a little hard to cut through but the crab cakes were delicious. My husband had the risotto Benedict and he enjoyed it. We also liked the complimentary mini corn muffins they started us out with. We would definitely return.
Amelia’s Bistro was amazing. From presentation to employee customer satisfaction, I’ll definitely will be heading back to this place
We only ordered vegetarian dinner whatever the menu had to offer. Everything was great except the flat bread was a little undercooked.!
It was pleasant. Good food. Service was slightly slow. Nice afternoon.
Just wanted a low key place where I can catch up with a friend- without having to be dressed up. Nice and casual. Great service. Great food. Parking was easy bc it’s not in the center of it all.
Went for brunch. Nice staff. Had steak and eggs. Food was tasty. Wanted to do outdoor seating, but looked a little makeshift (which is understandable in the time of Covid) so we sat inside. Gave me kind of a rustic feel. Nice artwork. It was pretty empty as i believe regulations currently allow up to 25% capacity. Social distancing was in place and servers had on masks.
Overall I had a good experience and would come again to try lunch or dinner menu.
Amazing place to eat had great service by everyone
Has a food critic & business consultant the place has so much potential the muffins they bring out to start are amazing however they need help with efficiency, servers, deliver of items food, presentation. Overal had a great experience and the food was delicious
Appetizers were unbelievably great overall- the Risotto cakes were good but I wouldn't order them again. Short Rib Lollipops were a 9/10, and the Crab Cake Sliders were a 10/10.
The Chicken Sauvignon tasted very good but the chicken was a bit dry. The Churrasco skirt steak was similar, in that the taste was amazing but it was extremely chewy.
Drinks were hit or miss, we ordered Espresso Martinis and what we got was literally espresso and vodka in a martini glass- not ideal!
Yummy food. Waitress was awesome.
Fidel took care of us from beginning to end. Loved his suggestions, food, ambience. Will go back again.
We ate outdoors. All the staff had masks. We brought our puppy and it was very pet friendly.
Exceptionally delicious brunch, interesting menu
Service was great , tried the crab cake for brunch and chicken and waffles ; food was average could be better the English muffin of the crab cake was a little dry more egg would be better . The waffles were nicely made chicken was crispy breast not so flavorful but nice and crunchy on the outside . Drinks were not very sweet (tried the mimosa and Bellini la) . Our outdoor table was on slanted part of the curb which made the dining just a little uncomfortable .
Met our daughter from NYC to save
Been coming here since it opened back in 2000. Although it's changed hands over the years it's maintained the great food & service.
Amelia’s went completely down hill. Bad service, bad drinks, gave me a coffee cup with lipstick on it. Used to be my favorite brunch spot- disappointing
We enjoyed a lovely family brunch together in a charming outdoor setting. The food was delicious and service was excellent.
From the food to the service to the atmosphere (even during the rain), everything was great. Thanks to Danielle? (our server) and the rest of the staff for making the night great.
We always have a good experience at Amelia’s and have been going there for at least 8 years, maybe longer. Service is very good—management and staff competent an in sync. Drinks and food are solid—nothing that blows you away but never disappointing. This is a COVID-19 review and they are doing their best to accommodate and stay in business in these times. Where they are situated, the sidewalks are narrow but low trafficked so eating outside there is fine. They are also kid friendly, which we appreciate.
