Great birthday dinner.
Always a great meal! Can't say enough for this great little North Asheville gem!
A really fine restaurant but not just for those living in North Asheville. Worth a drive.
We had a very nice dinner. The server was very helpful in recommending both cocktails and food. Everyone in our party was completely pleased with both the food and service.
Great food as always!
We went for a nice family dinner for three in the early evening. We had a nice table inside. The food is eclectic, but quite delicious. We enjoyed the small plates and wine. A pleasant place for dinner. We were fortunate that it was not too busy when we went. I can guess it could get quite noisy if it is a full house.
We had a very nice lunch and were pleasantly surprised when found that our drafts had been only $2 each because it was Thursday.
This is one of Asheville’s hidden gems. We’ve never had a bad experience. The owners are also great community members.
The server was exceptionally pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. My wife enjoyed her grilled cheese, salad and tomato bisque meal. I ordered the risotto and it was fabulous. The roasted beets had a wonderful earthy, mildly sweet flavor that was perfect with the delicious breaded goat cheese ball placed on top. And the dish was blessed with a beautiful pesto, drizzled around the edges, that added another layer of rich, satisfying goodness.
Soft shell crab small plate was a hit! Everything else we had very good too. Nice quiet patio dining too.
Interesting menu choices. Nice meal, good value. Small plates are good-sized.
We had friendly and efficient service. Food was very good except my French fries were way too dark and were very salty. Scallops were also good but the "rice cake" side was not.
Wine served and the dessert cake were also good.
Good food good service good atmosphere can’t wait to go back
Lacked service. food was mediocre;. The seafood frittata was served cold. It was very over cooked, tasted salty and not fresh. Very disappointing.
Disappointing Mother’s Day. Very expensive and food unappealing. I had the seafood frittata which was tasteless and rubbery. There were 5 of us and we were all very disappointed.
Not my wife’s best “Mother’s Day”...not even close or on par with past occasions.
She was disappointed with the food and so was I.
It’s basically across the street and we were hoping that it was good!
But alas, it was not.
It may be because of the pre fixed menu. Although that is a bit of a lame excuse.
We may try again on a regular evening...may!!
The food was AMAZING and the service was great! We went for Mother's Day Brunch, visiting from Columbia, SC. We are so happy to have found Ambrosia online and it was very easy to make a reservation. We had our 2 boys with us, which are 10 and 12 years. There was a kids menu for the special brunch. The boys enjoyed their meals as well. All around, it was an awesome experience and we will certainly return and tell our friends!
Great food which we all enjoyed from salad to dessert. Great considerate service.
We've eaten at Ambrozia several times, and each meal has been excellent. Service was attentive and helpful. The food came quickly, and it was delicious.
The location on Merrimon in North Asheville is a little outside the downtown orbit, but this place is definitely worth the drive. We'll return again and again.
Awesome food .
We have been to Ambrosia several times and find it one of the more creative restaurants in the area. There is always something a little unique like the Bison Short Ribs or the Brussel Sprout Slaw. And standards like Steak and Frites are done superbly. Their menu changes frequently so there's always something new.
Another delicious brunch at Ambrosia! We'll be back!
We always try to dine at Ambrozia when we plan to be on the north side of town. We have never been disappointed but this time out was exceptionally creative and delicious. We are pescatarians so we shared a seasonal salad, a fish dish and an eggplant dish. Everything was on point.
Pre race dinner for the Ville to Ville relay race. Good value good food nice people.
Great find. The food was very good and the service was excellent. If you go, sit on the bar side and ask for Elijah. He was an excellent server, made a great wine recommendation and was very personable.
The burger was great, but the fries were way to greasy.
As always worth the short drive north of downtown Asheville for an excellent menu - lots of variety, innovative preparations expertly cooked. Knowledgeable friendly service and tables spaced a respectful distance apart. The huge soft shell crab was simply lightly floured and sautéed to perfection, the scallops and grits superb.
Ambrozia has a fantastic staff with congenial service standards. The food is interesting and extremely tasty. We went for Easter Brunch and loved the creative 4 course menu and great Bloody Marys. The Bloody Mary Deviled Eggs appetizer was awesome. I highly recommend.
Wow, what a surprise! Pulled into the parking lot and thought “swing and a miss,” after the dining experience I was reminded “don’t judge a book by its cover!”
Easter Brunch was very tasty. Slightly pricey.
Hidden gem. Worth the short drive outside of downtown.
Ambrozia was excellent at handling our large group! They provided a kids menu and even made an effort for our ketogenic members. The service was prompt and they custom crafted drinks for several of us. Definitely will go there again.
Sunday brunch with live music is a not to miss. Farm to table . Food +++
Great all the way around! Great food, great service, great value for a 4-course brunch. Served smaller courses so the whole meal could be thoroughly enjoyed and not leave stuffed. Courses well spaced apart; not on top of the previous course and not a lag in receiving the next course. Quiche was wonderful! Would return again in a heartbeat!
Always great food - unusual food but always great!
Service was good. I got a burger and it was literally to tall to fit in my mouth. It tasted fine, but was so uncomfortable to eat and messy since I couldn’t get it in my mouth that it was difficult to visit with my friend.
Special attention paid when staff found out it was a birthday celebration. A lovely meal without being rushed.
Quickly becoming our favorite restaurant in Asheville. Just north of town - easy parking. Always an innovative menu. Bison short-ribs with cauliflower "risotto" is a large "small" plate - wonderful. Chicken and dumplings with a braised breast and wing, grilled carrots, butter-beans and gnocchi - splendid riff on a country favorite. Great friendly knowledgeable service.
The greeting, the table, the food and service were all positive experiences. We will definitely return.
Chose this gem for an early pre concert meal and was delighted with everything. Creative menu, lots of small plates and bar menu to allow ample sampling. Super nice and efficient server. Side room with the small bar is intimate. A delightful dinner experience, recommend highly!
