Ambrosia Ratings and Reviews
First waiter was not very friendly and seem agitated when asking for recommendations. He got the first drink order wrong. When asked if there what was the other cocktail with coconut in it that he recommended earlier he proceeded to say there were no coconut cocktails, which the first wrong drink he brought out was a coconut cocktail. He kept disappearing into the restroom. He never came back to see how we were doing. Another waiter who was Asian came to help for the rest of the night. This restaurant need wait staff that has better customer service. If your wait staff does not want to be in the service industry then they shouldn't be there. It completely ruins the mood for everyone one making the likelihood to return is slim to none.
I had such high hopes for this place. After spending over $200 on dinner I was so disappointed in the wait times on food. I ordered two appetizers and four meals for all four of us. I specifically requested that the appetizers be served first then all of the meals together after....
the appetizers were indeed served first but then one meal was served a couple of minutes after.... then another about 20 Minutes after.... then another about another 10 after and the last one (which was for my son) was served about 45 Minutes after the first one!!!! This was not meant to be family style..... all thebwaiter couldnsaybwas that he is new and he agrees that the wait time on many dishes were too long....
We Loved our experience here! Food was absolutely wonderful from main course to desert. We made a reservation and they place a card on your table with your name on it a nice touch!! We were there early so it wasn’t crowded so noise level was good but I can see it could get a little loud since it’s one open room. Overall it was a great experience!
Decided to dine here for my fiancé birthday because it was so amazing on Valentine’s Day, but little did I know we were in for such Disrespectful service. Our inattentive waiter Jax accused me of having had ordered three drinks in the 15 minutes we’d been there. Mind you he had only been to our table once. There was a mix up with our table and the one next to us but he was very adamant stating it was my third drink and wanted me to be aware. I initially thought he was joking, but he wasn’t so I told him he need to go figure it out. Needless to say he returns and apologizes for the mix up but the embarrassment had already affected our dining experience. Service was even slower after that, the crab fried rice was mushy, and our lamb were next to torched. Avoid this place, the new management has really dropped the ball. Our special occasion was absolutely ruined!
Our favorite place to go for about last 3 years! Flavorful food, excellent service. Love smaller portions during happy hour so you can taste different foods. Brussels sprouts and shishito peppers are absolutely amazing and a must to try!
We will definitely be coming back again.
This was my first visit Ambrosia restaurant and I was blown away at how great everything tasted. My daughter was in for work and I searched OpenTable for a new and interesting restaurant. My daughter and I ordered about six dishes and the risotto with tiger prawn shrimp was my favorite. The cocktails complimented our meal so well. I look forward to my next visit...
We arrived early, but there were only two other tables with guests, so we were seated immediately. After we were seated, we were greeted by our server, who brought water for the table and menus, but did not come back. We waited 15 minutes, and we didn't see him wait on any table but a larger party across the restaurant, that arrived after we did. There literally were 4 tables at any given point, and one two person party finished and departed while we were waiting. There appeared to be another waitress in the restaurant, but I observed her on a cell phone and never saw her wait on a table. We left after waiting 15 minutes. The server saw us leave and looked confused, but we didn't see any good reason for there to be that long of a wait to even order a drink. Four tables of diners does not mean a busy restaurant, and perhaps I understand why it was so empty. We will probably not be back. Such a shame, too. The ambiance there is lovely, and the last time we were there it was very good food. And busy.
Ambrosia is a neighborhood gem with great Italian cuisine that is on the lighter side. FYI: though listed as being serviced for reservations, IT IS NOT! Our "reservation" was honored by the helpful host who said that Ambrosia has been trying to have Open Table remove their name from their listing. Go to Ambrosia; you won't regret it but use a different online site to assure you really have a reservation.
We loved our service and our food. We had a party of 5, and even though the noise level was off the charts, we enjoyed our food and had a fun time. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and sat at the bar while waiting for our table. My daughter pulled out her credit card to pay for our drinks, and when I asked the bartender to please use mine instead and explained that we were paying for a fun birthday out, he refused...twice and rudely. He had not swiped it yet so that was not ok with me. It just did not make sense. Other than our less than perfect bar experience, the rest of our evening was perfect. We will be back for food, but will skip the drinks next time.
Overall very nice. Lovely atmosphere and great service.
The food was presented in a creative and appealing manner. Some of the entrees were a a bit oily/greasy but still tasted good. The pizzas that we ordered were rather bland, and soggy. The service very attentive and the restaurant is attractive.
I do recommend.
Food was tasteless, served lukewarm and appeared unappetizing. Sent my drink back because the ginger used tasted stale. Bare menu. Limited choice of items. Will not go there again specially for occasions. I give it 2 stars.
The food was delicious! We ordered the papaya salad, citrus salmon sashimi, Thai chicken flatbread, brussel sprout, Korean chicken wings, and lamb chops. All to share and we cleaned each plate 😊 Cocktails were good as well.
Service was slow, otherwise I'd given this place a 5-star rating. Beautiful and cozy interior, perfect for any occasion. Will definitely come back 👍🏻
