Overall the food was very good. However there was only one waitress and one busser / runner. There were only 2 other tables from 6.30-8 on a Tuesday evening so this should not have been a problem but water glasses remained unfilled, no check was made to make sure food ok, everything satisfactory. This is just basic stuff IMO. Also an unpleasant musty smell that we did get used to after a while. But not the best intro to a new (for me) restaurant overall. Again food was great, no problems there.
Slow service, tiny portions, overcooked food. The waiter comped our meal so that was nice, but overall a abysmal dining experience.
Great ambiance, flavorful fusion cuisine, good service. Tried the Maharaja shrimp, samosas and king Kabob. All tasteful.

Food was over priced for small portions. We shared 5 plates for 4 people and left hungry. We just drank to compensate. We walked into an empty restaurant and had to sit at bar since everything was for reservations. I literally made a reservation at the bar and still had to wait to get seated. We were there at 650 and reservation was at 7.....we weren't seat until after 7..

We have been here before and had an amazing experience. We truly understand that there are times, when restaurants are low on management, servers, bartenders and kitchen staff. But, for a restaurant that has a 9pm happy hour. It is expected that, the timing is set for a restaurant to be ready for big parties at night. All that was needed was for the chaos to be organized. We wouldn’t have been here since 7:45PM, with 75% of our party not having anything but their drinks. Overall, we would come back to give it another chance. The owner was very sweet, and was very considerate in which other restaurants don’t even do in these circumstances. We’re just disappearing in hosting a party, and our guests leaving hungry. Thank you for your time, and we hope to come back with a better experience.
Fun and unusual atmosphere. The drinks were good. Service was good. It was a little pricy for the tapas size dishes but flavor was unique and good. Parking was easy in the attached lot and the patio was gorgeous.
Service was great and friendly. There was just a musty smell that I was having a hard time getting over and the biggest fly on the window behind me. Other than that, the food was good. Brussels sprouts were amazing. I thought the ribeye tataki was a bit overcooked for my taste. But overall, food and service was great. Ambience was unique and neat.
This is a charming restaurant tucked away in the Montrose area. Fun, yet intimate ambience to enjoy date night with tasty and delectable fusion dishes. Everything we ordered was quite delicious and just the right balance of flavors. Wine selections were good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.
Great dishes! The lamp lollipops are one of the more expensive items but well,well worth it.
Food was very good overall. Waitress was good at explaining the menu and portions. Enjoyed the lamb and Brussels sprouts. Would go back again

The food here is so well flavored and plated. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve dined here and have yet to be disappointed with a dish. The service is excellent too, so that’s always a plus. Recently visited for Houston’s restaurant week and the variety of selections for each course was impressive. Can’t say enough about this restaurant!

We did restaurant week here which was perfect to try different things on the menu. I’d say the small plates (before the main plates) were exceptionally good. The food is a nice change of pace from the many creole restaurants in the area. Nice romantic atmosphere for a date, and good service!
Place is nice, our waiter was very sweet but the person who was bringing meals and taking away plates didn’t do good job we have to wait long time to be our empty plates taking away.
We order Houston week menu it can be reason why they didn’t put so much effort in it but to me seems like cooks skills are really bad. The salat was without taste, my beef was burn, Brussels sprouts was good but just fry very oily and the ice cream was really yummy that’s true but I definitely don’t go there again. Sorry

Amazing food! Under new ownership and things run smoothly and the owner and staff are great! Super flavorful fusion Asian food! Some amazing bites when you eat the components on the plate together. Great spice, salt, sweet, and sour all together! Cocktails are great too! Will come back again for sure!
There were dates, birthday parties, and families! Would definitely plan ahead and have a reservation.

Went for Houston Restaurant Weeks and service was really slow. There wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant but the wait staff was still not as attentive. Food was ok. Best item was the karaage chicken appetizer and salmon crudo. The brussel sprouts and steak frites were flavorful but too salty or too sweet. The dessert (ginger ice cream) was ok. Regular menu looked pricey so I probably won’t be back if it wasn’t for the HRW menu. I’d suggest going for happy hour between 5-7p and after 9p.

Servers were friendly and they did their best to handle our challenges as described below.
Salmon crudo came out at a temperature that we questioned (not ice cold). Flavor was ok, mild.
Ribeye : ok, came plated with exact same style sauce and garnish as crudo.
Pork dumplings - decent
Tom yum shishito peppers -great!
Striped bass : tasted old, off and like dirt. Sent back to kitchen. They replaced with steak frites which when ordered medium rare they came out well done and chewy. Lacked seasoning.
Ribs : dried and somewhat too dark on the char. Sauce too salty and overpowering and too thick.
Two orders of chocolate mousse - one arrived slightly frozen with crusty top, but full of chocolate flavor. The other arrived much lighter, melty, and tasted like a jar of cardamom. Both were garnished the same. We deduced they put their kaluah cardamom ice cream in as chocolate mousse. We noticed the table next to us ordered one of each dessert and they were all garnished differently.
Someone in the kitchen was having a major fail at work when we tried to have an enjoyable experience.
Waitstaff did promptly handle concerns and took some $ off the bill.
This was the first restaurant I tried of this year's Houston Restaurant Week and must say it exceeded my expectations! Fantastic food, great ambiance and kudos to our waitress, Rofia, who was a delight!

Great, original dishes. The best service I have experienced in a long time. Would definitely go again. Highly recommend the ribs and brussel sprouts.
Ambrosia was a great way to start off Houston Restaurant Month 2019. The wedge salad was a meal in itself. Really enjoyed the presentation and the dressing. This was followed by a bowl of roasted Brussel sprouts in a succulent sauce and Parmesan. This may have been the best dish of the evening. The steak frites were very tender and flavorful. They were marched well with the crispy noodles. The ginger ice-cream was a delicious ending to the meal. I am glad to start off the month with this little gem off of Shepherd.
Great place. Awesome service and a different menu compared to most. Great Happy Hour selection and prices. Also checked out the 2 private rooms. The best looking party room in Houston for a party of 12 to 14. Definitely taking my company happy hour there.
Food had a good concept and I was really excited for the flavors but they were trying to do too much. The food ended up not even tasting that good. I loved the ambience and set up of the restaurant but not the food.
They were understaffed and gave us a little room that was hot so everyone got antsy. We left without eating.
Would like to try them another time
The food and the environment was very good, very intimate atmosphere. The time I went was a little louder than most because a group near us were celebrating and being a little excited, nothing that the restaurant could control and it didn’t take away from the experience. I would definitely go back again. Everything is Tapa-Style (Family-Style) so I would most definitely go back again in the near future.

We tried 5 dishes they are not large portioned . Every dish was great not a joke seriously good food. Drinks we tried 5 of those they was decent . We will be back again. The crab and basamati rice was the best of all dishes and the shere kahn drink was the best drink for me.
