Great variety of food.
Your long list of why I would recommend the restaurant seems a little weird. Here are my criteria: outstanding food, outstanding service, noise level as low as possible, fair prices (I am willing to pay for good food and service, etc). Pluses include nicely decorated, good view, and I guess some of your other Cartesian are extras and, generally, don’t enter into how I make a decision.
That said, I have been to Ambli quite a few times given that I eat out fairly regularly but might not be considered to be often. Ambli has impressed me from day one - the food has been outstanding and the service impeccable - although i was a little disappointed at my visit on Sunday.
I love the new menu. The burrata was tasty but I wasn’t crazy about the toast. It was a little soggy and I think burrata and flavorings stand on their own very well. I had the Ambli paella and it was outstanding.
However, the first waiter we had was Allen/Alan and he was pleasant and informative. The problem was that we saw him only once or twice after that. We probably ended up with 4-5 other wait staff. Alan and the other staff were all great - we just had no continuity and sometimes had to search for someone if we had a question or needed something. Basically, sometimes felt like we were abandoned.
This will not affect me coming back - I will definitely be back. Service was not bad but somewhat disjointed and not up to your usual standard.
PS - between the two of us, your wait staff should know how to pronounce paella correctly.
Truly a great place! Fine service & marvelous food!
We visited Ambli for the first time on April 21, 2018, for our 29th wedding anniversary. We had a great time, start to finish. Waitress was friendly, took good care of us. Genuinely excited we were getting to try their food for first time.
It's an eclectic menu with a world-wide perspective. Lobster dumplings in a beautiful curry, served like "shots"; fun and delicious. We did the beet caprice (a nice wrinkle on a classic), a habanero flatbread with fig "sauce" and almonds (we were warned it was HOT, and they delivered!) Finished with Kuku Paca Chicken (curry) from a recipe the owner brought over from his home country in the middle east (fantastic).
They also have "American" like rib-eye tacos, mahi sliders, flatbreads; chinese schezuan; ahi, and octopus; even paella. It'll take a while to work through this menu! The owner was present, making everyone feel at home and keeping his finger on the restaurant's pulse.
One small thing, the building is in a strip-mall, but it's gorgeous inside and conducive to both romantic or business meals. Plus, the property is probably part of the reason the prices are so reasonable for this quality of food.
We have been to Ambli at Holly several times but it never gets old. The service is FABULOUS. The servers are well-trained, but for me, most importantly, friendly in a way that makes the whole dining experience warm and fuzzy. Our server, Max, was very knowledgeable and funny. He checked on us often without being intrusive.
The food is seasoned so well, one can’t eat too much while it’s on the table - and then you get up and realize - you’re ready to explode.
We had the arancini funghi; chips and dips; and beef samosas to start with and the rib eye tacos and kuku paka. We rounded it up with a delicious flan. Everything was delicious and the portions exactly how we like them - not too big, but enough to fill you up where you have some left over.
The highlight was meeting the owner - who has the graciousness of the old world. He walked around, greeted guests and made sure everyone was taken care of. He asked about the food and made suggestions on how to eat certain dishes.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Denver.
The food is very good and we really enjoyed the octopus dish. The constantly roving staff persons urging you to 'share' was a bit disconcerting. I hope they drop this practice as it became a little wearing and detracted from the wonderful food.
Ambli is has been a favorite for a few years. I would highly recommend it.
The service is over the top.
The food is awesome.
And the ambience is chic and comfy.
While the shopping center is not up the same standards of Ambli, there is plenty of well lit parking.
Good food and service—shrimp over cooked but rest of food was spot on.
Reliably good to very good food, nice atmosphere (quiet, intimate) and good service.
Amazing and great food!
Birthday dinner for friends
Ambli is always great- friendly, convivial, delicious and a pleasure. I always feel welcome and cared for. Lovely server vibe. Highly recommended!
I went to AMBLI with several foodie friends, the food was delicious & the service was outstanding. We are all planning our next experience at this unique gem!
Our waiter was excellent and the food absolutely delicious- we will be back again. Thank you Ambli!
Great food! Amazing service! A wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Love Ambli. Tonight meet all our expectations as usual.
Great food and service. Server very helpful with menu selection.
Creative menu, great sharing options, excellent and friendly service.
Food was exceptional, service was just fair though. Our waitress would be gone for long periods and we’d have to wait a little too long to place orders. Part of this was because she had tables clear on the other side of the restaurant. The owner or manager was very friendly and came to our table to check on us & give recommendations. We really enjoyed Ambli and would definitely come back, hopefully the service improves.
This is only the second time that we have eaten here, and both times we have enjoyed it very much. Probably our favorite item is the tenderloin "tostadas" on naan; they're on the tapas menu, but we could easily make a meal of them. Service is attentive and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit!
Fantastic food. Will definitely return when next I’m in Denver.
Our server Alan was great and the food was delicious, as usual. I think the atmosphere at Ambli on Holly street is another plus to an enjoyable meal.
The menu is unique and everything we had was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try other items from the menu!
Thanks to the owner, Jimmy, for engaging in happy conversation.
Love this place, food was wonderful and the service was excellant--plan to go back!!!!!
We always feel welcome at Ambli. Friendly, attentive but not intrusive. There seems to be a flow between the wait staff where they all make sure the patrons are taken care of whether it is their table or not. Love that it's not in the middle of Cherry Creek with the construction and parking issues. Then there is the food. Eclectic, presented beautifully and mighty tasty!
I like this restaurant for special occasions and girls night out. We can share a bottle of wine and enjoy the daily special. It's centrally located to all my friends.
Wonderful as always. Never disappointed
We love Ambli! The service was perfect and the food is consistently great. Always a dependable destination. Recommend!
Outstanding food and service in a location that made it even more surprising; enjoed the owner personably visiting the table and several professional waiters attending to one couple.

My all time favorite Denver restaurant , unique food prepared to perfection, awesome service and wait staff. I've been here several times they never disappoint!
One of our favorite places! The food is great and the owners and staff are absolutely top notch!!
Always great food and service.
Went to dinner for wife's birthday with two other couples. Sat at a table close to the front door. Was concerned about being hit with cold air every time the door opened but was not the case. Curtain separating dining room from front door kept the air separate. The food and service was outstanding. We all had a great relaxing meal and a really wonderful time.
My husband and went here for a date, and we are so glad we tried it. The wine was great and the food was amazing. We had the Penang Beef Curry and the meat was so tender it basically melted in my mouth.
We will definitely be back!
The food was absolutely amazing. All the tapas we tried were delicious! Very unique concept and loved every second of it. The service was friendly and attentive.
Four people, four different dishes and we all thoroughly enjoyed! The food was delicious, the presentation great and the service attentive and courteous! Only disappointment was the table we were seated. Even with an early 5:30pm reservation and many open tables in the main dining room, the hostess seated us at a plain table in the back near the noisy dish station, in front of the kitchen and bathroom entrance. Next time I'll request we sit in the main dining room at one of those beautiful high top tables with the cushy chairs!
Great food and service. Cocktails are tasty, too
Very good service and excellent food.
We four have dined at Ambli at least ten times and always enjoy it. This time however we were disappointed in one aspect of the service. When one of our party thought that her straight gin had a hint of vermouth, although the waiter had specified none, the bartender, clearly annoyed, came to the table to mix the drink. He was extremely haughty and embarrassed the guest. He should learn how to deal with complaints more gently. In my years in the service industry it was drummed into us "The customer is always right." This bartender should accept this. He will always have to deal with problem customers. Better to swallow his pride than chase off good customers.
