Amber West Village
We turn the art of eating, whether by yourself or with a group of friends into an experience which will never be forgotten. The decor, friendly staff together with our cuisine is what has made us a beloved favorite.
Our delicious cuisine combines the bold flavors of Asia with delicate french essences. Our menu is served family style which creates a magical experience.
Ambiance was great and service was excellent! Loved our experience and the food!
Delicious food in a casual environment with great service!
Loved it, will repeat.
Unassuming restaurant from the exterior. Very cute inside. Bustling. Make a reservation. Busy take out too. The food is high quality and delicious! Our server was adorable, friendly and happy to help us make selections. Seating is nice. Not cramped like many Manhattan restaurants. Decent bar too.
Favorite restaurant in NYC
Good food and good service! Would definitely return.
A great neighborhood standby, affordable and reliable.
We came in very close to "last call," and the waiter and staff still made the experience for my daughter, who was celebrating a birthday. They bent over backward to make us feel welcome and to give us an excellent dining experience. The food was just amazing. We had the dumplings and the lettuce wraps, among other items, and they were delicious.
Sushi was amazing! Great quality for the price would go back
As first time diners to this restaurant, my wife and I were quite impressed. This Pan-Asian establishment properly observed Covid protocols which made us very comfortable. The service was polite and attentive. The food was delicious. We had Japanese shrimp shumai, avocado/cucumber rolls, and vegetable Pad Thai, all excellent. We closed our meal with a vanilla and a green tea gelato, also yummy. Overall, a great pre-concert dinner.
Addictive! Spicy edamame is the best ever. Golden Buddha phenomenal. Saki Tini was yummy!
Best sushi in town! The prices are also very reasonable and such a good bang for your buck!
Food was prepared delicious. No complaints.
Absolutely delicious! the sashimi was extraordinarily fresh and delicate...
This is one of our most favorite restaurants in Manhattan.
I love this place. They are accommodating, the ambiance is nice, and it is reasonably priced. I've eaten there several times and it is very consistent.
The food is consistently good, fresh and tasty. The staff is always very cordial and accommodating.
Always excellent service and delicious food. Will continue to return
great menu with yummy food! perfect place to eat with friends or a date. Will Definitely be coming back often.
This is our go-to sushi restaurant in Manhattan. Great, fresh selection.
Right outside the Christopher St PATH station, so super convenient! Drinks were yummy. We had 2 appetizers and 5 different sushi rolls. Friendly service. Apps and rolls came out as they were ready, not together, so it was a bit awkward with only one person's appetizer or sushi roll on the table and the rest waiting, but not a big deal. Restrooms were clean. Not busy at all, 4:30 on a Saturday before we saw a show. Looked packed when we walked by again later. Will definitely return!
All dishes were excellent! Servers guided with great suggestions for appetizers. Had a green tea margarita which was interesting. Service was prompt and attentive until towards end of meal when the staff seems distracted.
Mouth watering food; excellent service; allowed to sit a long time in lovely environment
great sushi at a reasonable price. A good little find
Delicious sushi & sashimi platters, great wait staff and efficient service. Will continue to return!
Date night with my daughter. We had flown in from Columbus, Ohio earlier in the day and decided to walk through Washington Square and NYU for an evening stroll. We came across Amber West Village by accident but what a gem of a place. Sharing a couple of small plates and entree’s was ideal, and the option to have a Suntori non alcohol beer was superb. The service was impeccable and the food quality, outstanding. If you are looking for a hidden gem, I recommend stopping here. You won’t be disappointed.
Lovely food, great service and great value for money!
The food and service were good. We did not appreciate being rushed. We felt that they wanted us to go.
Great spot, two people ate and had drinks for only $60 which is unheard of in nyc. Good ambience, flower shaped lights, and pretty busy but still got seated in under 5 minutes.
Great food for good cost. Just took a while to get seated considering we had a res
the food is amazing, great service, great atmosphere, prices were the best ive seen in the city. You should go here!!!!
Three of us ordered some rolls to share. I’m not a fan of sushi but I loved the sweet potato roll and the spicy tuna. The happy hour drink prices are some of the best you’ll find in the area.
ADD BETTER DRINKS TO THE HAPPY HOUR MENU. The happy hour menu is about five drinks and it’s pretty full drinks if you ask me. They can be kind enough to put the other drinks in the happy hour menu so it can encourage customers to buy those drinks when happy hour is gone and if they concern on losing money then just give in smaller cups for the happy hour price and up the price to regular price when happy hour is over and back to regular size cups for the drinks. Overall it’s good they give you a lot of food which is great. There not cheap with food but drinks during happy hour. Yes cause u don’t have much of a choice and the options for drinks is honestly wack
Food was amazing!! The fish was incredibly fresh and decadent. The rolls were made and presented with great care. Even the appetizers were fantastic, especially the ribs which fell off the bone.
It was pretty good. My friends and I were the only people in around 1p on Saturday. They got sushi which looked fine and the prices are reasonable. I got pad thai which was OK, thinner noodles than I was expecting. It said the pad thai would be spicy but it wasn't (or at least didn't seem spicy to me) so I asked for hot sauce and the waiter gave me a tiny thing of Siracha and then charged me a dollar on the bill. (and didn't mention it earlier) a dollar isn't that big of a deal but it just rubbed me the wrong way.
So there was nothing wrong with this place really but I won't be going out of my way to go here again.
Never looked at my reservation so was surprised when I came with 6 people. Waitress was amazing though.
Amber serves arguably the best sushi I have ever had. It offers a wide variety of appetizers and rolls. The servers were plentiful and pleasant. This is the first restaurant that asked in advance if we were celebrating something and, when we got there, did something about it! Thank you for being so good. We will be back.
This place is amazing! We flew in from Montana and they treated us like family. We eat a lot of sushi all over the world and this place is da bomb. I almost hate to share this:)
Great. Good food.
Even with a reservation we waitedc15 minutes for a table. Once seated we waited another 15 minutes for the waitress to take drink orders etc. From there it went really well
