Amani's BYOB Ratings and Reviews
We first went back in June for my wife's birthday. We were impressed by the quality of the food and service. We invited our friends from Delaware for dinner last Saturday. Not only were we just as impressed as we were last June, but our friends thought this was one of the best restaurants they had ever dined in. Great job!
Server was rude- talked about us to other staff after we asked her to take a picture.
Peanut allergy was discussed when ordering the calamari- still came out with nuts which is fine but the server never came over to apologize or let us know a new one would be made.
Food was delicious- new to the area coming from Philly so I have high standards for BYOs. The ambiance was a little cheesy with the white fence and flowers. Would love something a little more cozy rather than picnic style.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. They have delicious cocktail mixers so they can make you a tasty cocktail provided you bring the booze. Additionally, the server walked us through the specials and made solid recommendations. My seared duck breast was the best duck I've ever had. Would highly recommend!
We had a great meal- party of 4. The food is really delicious- great halibut special, wonderful short rib meal. The restaurant is small and there was a party of 12- the noise was just too much. But they moved us to a nice outdoor table on a beautiful night and that worked. We will definitely be going back, but we’ll be on the lookout for a large group...
Had lunch there. The choices on the menu were wonderful - something for everyone! Everything so fresh and delicious! The server Matt was very congenial and knowledgeable about the food and its preparations. Going back for Dinner in Two weeks! Can't wait to see what's on the fall menu!
We had a great table right at the window otherwise the noise level would have been overpowering anywhere else in the restaurant. The menu was creative and variety was quite nice across fish fowl and red meat. We started off with raw oysters but 1 of the offerings, they were already out of - waitress should have checked first. I had the duck breast which was well prepared. Service was a bit slow but everyone was very pleasant which made up for it.
I wasn't impressed with my meal for the price they charge. The crabcakes were the driest I ever ate and the rest of the plate wasn't anything special. Also there were several fly's buzzing around our table, huge turnoff for a restaurant.
I was there once before for Sunday brunch and the food
was better, still very pricy for what you get.
Very very impressed with Amani. In fact, This was one of my best meals of the year. From the oysters to the soup to the Pork flat Iron every mouthful was more flavorful than the next. I even saved half of my entree for lunch the next day. I didn't want the experience to end.
Wonderful staff and BYOB sets this place apart. We will definitely go back and I've been recommending this to my friends and family throughout the weekend.
Well Done Amani
Amani's is one of the best suburban Philly restaurants we've found. The meals are creative and delicious. Food as good as the best places in the City, without the traffic. My wife loves the craft cocktails as well. Everything we have had there tastes great, but the grilled oyster are the best of all...crazy good!
We've been to Amani's a couple of times, usually with friends, and found it mediocre. The atmosphere was great, we sat outside; despite the loud mufflers on some cars, it was enjoyable. The service was fine. The food was good, but for the prices charged, I want to be wowed. As mentioned, we have been there a couple times, to give it a chance. With so many restaurants to chose from I do not think we will be back.
