We brought our mother for brunch for her 86th birthday. They had nice music playing. Where we sat in the back was a little too dark but we needed to sit a bit away from the music so our mother could hear us speak (she is hard of hearing). Everyone was happy with their meals. The ambiance is really charming. What I was to make a special note about is that the staff is beyond exceptional. The wait staff was attentive. Our mother has great difficulty walking and can’t do steps very well and they offered up their employee bathroom so she did t have to do stairs. They were so warm and really assisted in making this a great experience for her! Thank you!!
Amanda’s Restaurant has such a warm environment. There was a live band playing music and taking recommendations, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was friendly. Would definitely come back here in a heartbeat!
Saturday breakfast. We arrived when the location opened and they went ready to service customers yet. Temperature was hot In the dining room, I think they waited to turn the air on until they arrived.
It was great to be back. Service was good. Food was good However, the live music, though good, was too loud. It was a good dining experience over all.
Every bite was fantastic…
Looking forward to the next time!
Place is always consistent and amazing. Another wonderful experience
The staff was so incredibly nice and accommodating. We brought our pup with us and they were able to set us up with a table outside and even had a dog bowl. Overall a great experience and I will be coming back!
Amanda's has always been good. My last visit was not worth the money.
Probably the best brunch I have ever been to. Reasonable prices, amazing wait staff, beautiful setting, and outstanding fresh food.
First time back at this restaurant since the Covid lockdown. Menu has changed a bit making it more interesting. Cost of parking garage helps with a reduced rate arrangement. We will return.
Phenomenal food and service - highly recommend
We had the best fathers day meal here.
Banana pancakes for dessert. Delish
Very good food and cool interior. Staff was professional and helpful.
Really was not what we expected. Has a great name and reputation from way back but definitely doesn’t live up to its expectations anymore. The wait staff are dressed for a pub scene. The food is dripping in oil and the service…well cannot really comment because there was none. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that they had live music start around 5:30pm.
A wonderful time, delicious dinner, friendly staff. Each time we dine here.
Spinach empanada are great. Ordered the ch lien ravioli and they were cold. Homemade focaccia was just ok.
Service was great and the ambiance was really nice. Went for my birthday.
food was great! food took forever to get served but was delicious - short rib is fantastic!
This was our first time eating at Amanda's. We went for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is lovely. It's in a beautiful old brownstone. Parking was easy. There was live music (jazz) that was very enjoyable - not too loud. Our waitress was charming and sweet. I think her name was Maria Z. The food was good, but not any different or better than I would make at home. There was nothing special, nothing unexpected or delightful. I have no complaints, but also nothing to cheer about. The meal was perfectly nice.
The service was great. There is dining inside, and on and nearby the sidewalk, so you get the nice ambiance of Hoboken residents walking by. The street is fairly quiet, so noise level was great if you’re trying to hold a conversation. Nice waitresses and waiters. I plan to recommend this place to friends looking for a nice lunch or dinner in Hoboken. Delicious food with reasonable portions. The restaurant is 5/5 stars because of the kind, hospitable, and patient staff. They made the restaurant a good experience for me.
First visit and felt welcomed at entry. Servers were polite, food was good. Server did kind of get missing towards the end of our meal when i was looking for my check and to go box. But it didn’t hurt my experience. Will definitely return. I want to try dinner.
The short rib was very good, but the potato croquettes appetizer was cold in the middle. The warm parts were good, but it had a “not fully thawed” feel to it.
Cozy, romantic atmosphere to dine in. The food was delicious and the service was great! Cocktails were delicious! I would definitely dine here again.
From start to finish. A wonderful experience. The owners, bartender and staff are true professionals and ensure a great experience. Thanks. See you again soon.
Perfect. Celebrating our 24th anniversary. Got married on the balcony at Amanda’s. Was perfect than and was perfect today. Food well done. Service excellent beautiful place
We had a great time and the food was delicious!
Great food, service and ambiance had a lovely night will definitely return. Highly recommend the Amanda restaurant.
Service was very slow so if you need to be in and out, do not come here. Food wasn’t great especially the gnocchi which was just mush. Waiter didn’t ask how we wanted the pork chop cooked and it was over cooked and dry. Don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.
A high-quality restaurant recommended for pleasant atmosphere,
good service, and well-prepared food.
Great food, great service. We had a very nice time.
Good food, and great server!
Wonderful atmosphere. Doesn’t even feel like you’re in Hoboken, more like a mini getaway. Food was great and waitress was so kind.
Absolutely recommend this restaurant. One of the best places in town. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The food and drinks are delicious.
Nice ambience! Friendly and attentive staff. Steaks and burgers were prepared as requested.
Very special brunch date, we enjoyed the live music and the food.
It was a very enjoyable dinner experience outside
Amanda's was great pre-pandemic and it still is great. The menu has changed a bit offering now a bunch of lighter meals along with some full entrees. Service and atmosphere is still A+.
Food was awesome. Best restaurant in Hoboken.
Not sure what happened with our waiter. Asked for new silverware after we finished our appetizers.....after that he was not very friendly nor did he check on us after our meal was served. It was ashame because everything was great before that..... his attitude really put a damper on the evening.
Great food, atmosphere and overall vibe. Can't wait to go back!
