Amalfi Grille Ratings and Reviews
Our guest, a childhood friend of my wife’s, who had not seen each other in year’s. Amalfi Grill impressed her greatly, especially the special appetizer: grilled octopus. She talked us into trying it as we were admittedly reluctant. It was excellent! Also, kudos to our server John, who handled all our needs flawlessly on an evening when literally all the tables were taken. Continues to be one of our favorite special occasion spots in Vero, our home town.
I would highly recommend Amalfi Grill! Being new to Vero Beach we just stopped in one night not really knowing what to expect. To our surprise it was one of the best meals we have had in Vero! The Veal Carciofo is DELICIOUS! It is light tasting entree with an excellent favor from the sauce, artichokes, sundries tomatoes and asparagus combined with tender sautéed veal. It was so good went back 3 days later. Highly recommend!
We had a 645pm reservation and UNFORTUNATELY we arrived at 630pm for a table for two. Not six or eight! We were told by the Hostess that we would have to wait because we arrived too early. We looked into the restaurant and it was booked at about 10-15%. We asked why we couldn’t be seated now and our Hostess said we can’t handle you yet because our “system” works that way. I may be misquoting our hostess but that was the basis. So we sat patiently waited and were seated at about 640pm. But still only 10-15% filled. So we have cooks, we have waiters, we have food, we have menus, but for some unknown reason we could sit and be embarrassed as a few couples came in and were seated.
Food great, waiters great, hostess has NO CLUE about service. If they want return customers this young lady needs to listen to who is paying her check.
On Jan 5th we called at 4pm to make a reservation for 6:30pm - the young lady that answered said "We are booked until 8pm" We jokingly said we were regulars and she responded "We have a lot of regulars" I logged on to my OpenTable account and was able to book online for 6:45pm - no problem. We arrived at 6:35pm and were told we were early and had to wait. There were 5 tables available in the main dining room the entire time we were there - 6:35pm to 8:30pm?!
Food was just OK, service attentive and friendly.
We’ve been before, one of our favorites in Vero. My wife said the appetizer could have been warmer, it was New Years Eve so they were very busy so she didn’t mention it and she did say it was delicious but should have been warmer. Great restaurant, will continue to visit there and highly recommend!
Amalfi is definitely one of the best Italian restaurant in Vero. The appetizer selections are very good especially the Broccoli Rabe with Sausage and the Artichoke Francese. The main course selections are also excellent with something that everyone should be able to find a preference.
My personnel favorite are the veal dishes (which can also be prepared with Chicken) are all very tender. They have a number of diverse preparations of them as well. Service is very competent and on point. A must visit when in Vero Beach!
We enjoyed a delightful evening at Amalfi Grille. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food selections were plentiful. We opted to choice from the regular menu. My husband had the veal parm and I chose grilled lobster with shrimp. The entrees were delicious and the portion size was generous. The food was delicious. We will definitely return.
We have discovered Amalfi Grill after having a 2nd home in Vero for 8 years. We love it. The grouper is my wife's new "go to" meal. And we both LOVE the broccoli with Italian sausage to start. I love the veal Milanese if they have it and the Veal Parmesan. But most of the other dishes are great too.
Service is very friendly, albeit slow at times. But worth the wait. His 2 sons help serve and 2 of the others have been there 8+ years, so a real family feel to it
And it is busy year round, not just a snowbird place like the barrier island.
