Although we enjoyed the food, the service on a recent Saturday night was horrible. Our party of 8 was seated at 7:15 pm, we promptly ordered a round of drinks, and they didn't arrive until 8:10 pm despite our inquiries about the delay. Of course, due to our party size we still had a 20% tip automatically added on.

For putting in a reservation the day before my wedding anniversary it was really unfortunate to be told the only seating that was available was a small cocktail table next to the bar. Might I not that from the entrance it was east to spot at least 6 open tables with nobody sitting there. The food has always been good and have never had an issue with the servers, until now. Because we were at one of two tables next to the bar, that meant the bartender was our server. Normally no big deal unless the bartender only wants to converse with those physically at the bar. Each stage of this experience took far too long before the next. Sit at table, wait 20 minutes, get menu, wait 20 minutes, order food, wait 20 minutes etc… when our food arrived it was cold but oddly still tasteful. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we didn’t leave until 8. A long time in my opinion for an easy dinner for 2. Might give them a second chance, but it’ll definitely be a while before we go back.

The dolmas appetizer was outstanding! Bacon and shrimp risotto is my favorite, and my husband loved the brisket on polenta. Consistently great food and service on every visit, it is our go-to dining spot downtown.

My wife and I have dined here before and we’re saddened that it appears Amadeus is not a good as it use to be. We ordered a Cesar salads for us and they came out on warm plates and made with spring mix. My wife ordered the risotto and it was served in a bowl with 3 large chips in it. I ordered the lamb loin and the plate it was served on was also chipped. Our waitress was very attentive and the cocktails tasted great. We ordered cake to go and that was very delicious. Overall we just didn’t think this lived up to a birthday dinner experience and we left disappointed.

First time there, greeted right away by the host Inside comfortable, casual and trendy, Dyalln was our server, got served right away, restaurant filled up after we arrived and they had a party of 20 in back but service never suffered. Food was great started with a couple HH apps Shrimp and bacon risotto, gnocchi and bruschetta then had the Salmon piccata, lamb rack and lamb loin, all good size portions and tasted great, finished with 2 different cakes and Apple crisp. Was never rushed, will be back.

Glad we made reservations, even though we were coming in very early (4:30 pm). Glad we requested our specific table area. I really enjoyed our dinner (appetizer, entree & dessert). Wonderful venue. Stevie was very attentive and personable. The presentation and food were delightful.

Negative first -- the noise level here made conversation impossible. Mid-Range next -- the service was very slow, BUT this was not the fault of wait staff (who were very friendly and courteous): they were understaffed and did their best with a very large crowd. Positive lastly -- the food was fabulous: varied menu, all delicious and beautifully presented.

Always a great choice for dinner in Salem. The food is thoughtfully prepared, done just right and beautifully plated. The wines are also very good. The staff is well-trained. Both the food and wine are excellent values.

Had a wonderful time at Amadeus. Bobbie was our waitperson and the service she provided was fantastic. The food was wonderful. My second time dining here and both experiences were fabulous. The only disappointment was that it was a birthday celebration that I informed them about when I made the reservation, and nothing was said or done to acknowledge that. However, we had a great time. We’ll be back!
