The Amadeus dinner menu is as diverse as it is delicious. Classics such as the Painted Hills Brisket or the creamy Shrimp and Bacon Risotto are served nightly!

A great, cozy restaurant in downtown Salem. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of Oregon wine.
Great place for special occasions. Loved the food.
Amazing food. It may be standard when the ticket was split but was a bit surprised at the automatic 20% onto our bill. We are healthy tippers but I suppose some aren’t.
Just moved to Salem and we try a new place every couple weeks and will return quite soon so many options and can't wait to try several more.
I had the shrimp and pork belly risotto. It was good but could have been creamier and more flavorful The pork didn't seem to come through. My wife had the Korean spare ribs which I tasted and I they were delicious. I think I would have pulled the trigger on the brisket if I had it to do over. Staff is wonderful. I would come back for another meal.
Downtown Salem is actually really cool and the building for Amadeus is classic main street. Marble. Vintage fir floors.
I had pretty high expectations for this place. I was looking for some out of the box options. We started with the grilled Brussels sprouts which were the best I’ve ever had. Smoky and sweet and tender.
Out of the three entree’s ordered only one of us was completely satisfied with the meal. I had the chicken/mushroom dish which was overpowered by too much balsamic vinegar. My friend had the Harissa chicken which was missing the Mediterranean flavor you’d expect in that dish. The third dish was the vegetarian twisted sister which was decent.
For the price I expected a lot more from this place. Don’t think I’ll be going back.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed some amazing food. The cod was cooked perfectly and paired well with couscous. The brisket was rich and delicious. Overall we would come here again.
I took my mom and two of her best friends there for a send off dinner as mom is moving to FL. The waitress was very personable taking to the 3 of them asking about the stories thru the years. The food was so tasty, very ample servings and unique. Try the stuffed baked potato!
Service was friendly and informational. Menu has a lot of regular fare made in innovative ways. We had the mac n' cheese and the shrimp and scallops in pesto with linguine. Both were perfectly cooked and spiced. The room was open, with a high ceiling, and lotsa room between tables. It has a bonus: a bakery in the rear of the building with amazing things in it.
Excellent cocktails, lovely risotto and scrumptious pork chop. The house made hummus and tortilla chips were also delightful. Highly repeatable.
Food quality lately has been very good. That said the overall experience needs work. The acoustics in the restaurant are horrible, making all ambient noise harsh and "unfriendly". Ownership definitely needs to make serious investment in lots of sound deadening materials throughout the building.
Although service our past several visits has been good to very good last Friday, August 23, 2019, the service was sub-par. There was a large crowd so some allowance would have been gladly given, but we had to ask four times for the complimentary hummus and it did not arrive until we were nearly done with appetizers. There was no silverware and napkins on the table and none was delivered until we asked when the appetizers were served.
We ordered two bottles of wine, at a cost of $133.00. We had to refill our own glasses and no checking back on the satisfaction of the wine ever occurred. Because of the full house and the resulting workload for the server, on its own, this would have been easily acceptable.
My main course, Seafood Pesto Alfredo, had lots of delicious sauce and early on I asked for a small plate of bread, planning to use it to sop up the excess. The bread was finally brought to the table after all of us has completed our main courses and I given up and finished without any bread.
NOW, the real killer was that an automatic 20% service charge was added to the bill. Although I routinely will tip 20% for good service, food and ambiance and even more for an excellent dining experience. To have 20% forced on me for a sub-par dining experience is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
The food as always was absolutely phenomenal. The couple we were with wanted to split their dinner and requested an additional plate. Amadeus went the extra step and brought it out separated and plated perfectly. Their wine recommendations are always on point and their customer service is top notch. We love eating there. I always leave saying, when we come back I want to try....
Food and atmosphere are very good at Amadeus. Our waiter was professional, but service was slow.
Amadeus never disappoints. We tried several of the new appetizers, the zucchini spears and ceviche and they were amazing. Everything else from our drinks to entrees were also perfect.
Subpar food large price tag. I got the scallops. They were on a flavorless bed of cous cous and corn. The whole dish just tasted of corn.
We always visit Amadeus while visiting our children in Oregon. My only disappointment was that they didn't serve saucy chicken at lunch.
With exception of some very under cooked Brussels sprouts, the food was excellent. The service was a bit disorganized and slow, seemingly understaffed but our server also forgot several things and cocktails took forever to arrive. The main problem was that the noise level was WAY too loud. Some sound attenuation is badly needed.
Amazing Service and even better food! Drinks were great, menu has a great selection and wonderful flavors.
We were celebrating our anniversary. While the service was extremely slow, the waitress did bring us a gift card for $10 to come back next time when she heard it was our anniversary. The food was just so-so, which is highly unusual for this restaurant. The dessert (Maple Bacon Brownie) was amazing and more than made up for the other.
I personally really like Amadeus but I had a 6 pm book time online. A guest in front of me said they had a 6 pm book time and did not but the host put them somewhere anyway thinking it was a computer error. That was ok, great customer service on his end but it made me sit at the bar for awhile where I was offered a free drink but knowing my guests that evening do not drink I declined. We were then sat closest to a window which was understandably chilly but yeah. Other than that, enjoyed the food and service.
I would but, maybe for an older crowd. We are in our mid thirties and we were the youngest there by at least 15 years or more. Also the wine poor did not seem standard at all but maybe it was just a “big glass” ;-) food was tasty.
The food was gourmet and greatly exceeded my expectations. I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was amazing!!
Lovely Valentines dinner! The server was outstanding! The evening was so nice! If I could suggest just one picky little thing: the chairs at our table were slightly uncomfortable, not exactly where you want to sit for an hour. Other than that, we had such a great time...thank you!
My wife and I went to Amadeus for Valentines Day dinner. In spite of the large number of customers the service was good and the food up to their high standards. My wife's brownie sundae from SweetSmiths was heavenly! Be sure to save room for one of their specialty desserts.
seems that the quality of the food has gone down from a few years ago.
Went for our 20th Anniversary and had another great meal/dining experience! Chris was our sever and provided great service and was fun!
Tuesday is small plate/happy hour all evening. Good choices for food and drink on that menu!
We absolutely love this restaurant. Dependable delicious dishes along with new and innovative ones mixed in from time to time. Huge flavor spectrum. Quality ingredients. Very nice cocktail list. It's a wonderful place any night of the week!
Great food and environment. Wine selection is fantastic.
Great food options, especially if you have diet restrictions. Drinks are amazing and highly recommend the gluten free carrot cake!
Good, but a bit noisey. Not quite a "white tablecloth" type of place.
Great Service, salad, beef medallions, and desert. Pleasant environment. Live musician would have made it perfect.
I had a reservation for 4 at 5pm on a Friday. We were seated at one of the window tables. I had the fried chicken and substituted the mashed cauliflower for the mashed potatoes. The presentation was beautiful, the food delicious, and the service was excellent. This is my most favorite restaurant for dinner in Salem.
Interesting menu and wine list. Service a bit slow, as if some staff had no-showed that evening. Definitely will return.
My friends and I celebrated my birthday there today and everything was absolutely delicious!
I had the brie avocado melt with shrimp, two other had the cream of asparagus soup and two others had the slender chicks meal. We were all delighted.
Service was slow. Appetizer was the best part. Food was lacking for the price. We were sat by the front door and it was rather cold. Wouldn't recommend.
We were seated rite away our waitress was sweet & friendly food was good the artichoke dip is really damn good
Delicious food but quite loud. The drinks were fantastic and there were lots of options for all our different food needs other than one person's mushroom allergy. I would for sure go again (sans the gal with the mushroom allergy).
This was our first visit to Amadeus and we were pleasantly surprised. The entrees were amazing, the drinks great and the bread pudding the best we've ever had !
We love Amadeus and Sweet Smith! Great food and very accommodating for gluten free dining.
