Amadeus has lots of delicious food options. I’ve been several times and have never been disappointed. I especially appreciate their Keto options. Don’t forget to try a dessert from SweetSmith while you are there. Yum, Yum, Yum!
We enjoy dinner at Amadeus before going to Elsinore productions. They are able to accommodate vegan dinners without hesitation and the offerings are always flavorful.
This charming place has incredible good. Healthy or delicious or wonderful and decadent. I am going back
We went for the Thanksgiving dinner that they did and it was EXCELLENT. I had the traditional and my girlfriend had the salmon. 5 stars, the chefs here know what they're doing.
The food and the staff were excellent. A pleasant experience was had by all.
Service was excellent... The pair cocktail was fabulous... The butternut squash ravioli was outstanding... The turkey dinner was good but not fabulous... Desert of carrot cake was fabulous
Service was great, food was excellent, will definitely be going back. One of the best restaurants in Salem.
Had a great time. Traditional thanksgiving dinner was ok, the beef tenderloins with wine sauce was excellent.
We decided to eat here for Thanksgiving based on recommendations from friends. Even though there was a limited menu, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. We want to go back soon!
Our first visit was for Thanksgiving dinner while visiting our daughter. The food was really outstanding. Of particular note is the four cheese mac and cheese, very creamy very flavorful. The beef tenderloin medallions in the demi glaze sauce were very tender.
For a Thanksgiving special, they had bacon wrapped stuffing balls. They were amazing.
They had a lot of nice choices for vegetarians so all ages and dietary restrictions will find something they like here.
Awesome food wait staff did a great job. Only knock was we had a reservation but were seated after people who came in at the same time asus with no reservation
We reserved a table for 6:30, Friday evening however they were unable to seat us until 7:20. We had to ask for menus while we waited and we're not offered to order anything to hold us over. We arrived on time for our reservation and one of our party was a child however we did not eat anything until 8:00pm, at which time we were offered a small plate of hummus with a few chips, only after we ordered. The food was over sauced and nothing for children except off menu chicken strips or their artisan $14 pizza (which we ordered) that tasted odd. The food that was inedible was not charged and apologized for. A gift card was offered however I doubt we will use it personally.
We all loved the food we ordered. Item we don't usually get (fish, pasta, beef, etc) and it was excellent! My friend wanted a half order of something (I was so embarrassed), but they gave it to her. They aim to please. It was great - can't wait to go back.
The food and cocktails are always excellent. Great staff! We go quite often... and Love it!
Best place for celebrations, great food and happy hour too!
Accomidated a table of 16 out-of-towners for a group business dinner on a Wednesday night with very short notice. Our waitress was a champ! 5 stars for her! She was patient, pleasent, attentative, and didn't even bat an eye when we said we would needed separate checks. The food was incredible, the service impeccable, all the meals came out at the same time, and everything was perfect...by far the best meal we had the entire time we were in Salem.
I hesitated going to Amadeus because I've had bad experiences in the past. However, we had some "keto" people with us and decided to give it a try. Of the 4 of us--2 received their order in tact. All I asked for was a half caesar salad with shrimp. I got a salad but not caesar. When the waitress came by I asked her if she thought it was a caesar salad and she said "Absolutely not!" My question is--why did I received it then. One of the other guests asked for the salmon with asparagus and specifically asked if it came with anything else like carbs. The server said, "Oh no. It's just the salmon and asparagus. WRONG! It was served on a glob of mashed potatoes. The other 2 meals were fine. Aside from 1/2 of us not getting what we ordered--it was WAY over priced. I don't mind paying top dollar for an experience and really great food. But NOT for bad and slow service and bad food. By the way, there was no compensating event offered which means I will NOT be back and have already told friends that nothing has changed there and don't waste your time and money.
Overall a great place to visit with friends. Amazing menu and beverages, food is really pretty darn good, service always friendly but slowish when busy..duh 😊
Come a little early in the eve and it’s a treat.
Always a favorite of ours! A first go to for a family dinner, night out with friends or a date night. Great bar, delicious food, and bonus a fantastic dessert shop at the back with way too many options, all of which are great! Friendly environment, warm staff and it’s never let us down!
Very delicious! I've dined here a few times now and the food is always amazing with great service!
Table on time, solid service. Restaurant a bit loud for my taste; salmon unfortunately over-cooked which is easy to do unless you watch it like a hawk when you're grilling it. The cooks must have been busy because it was a busy Thursday night. Food in general is good to very good but not excellent; however, you can't go wrong if you dine at Amadeus just don't expect a true 5-star experience.
Perfectly competent, but nothing to recommend. Pork chop a bit overcooked; "strogonoff" with heavy mustard flavor. Seems as if many dishes could benefit from "editing out" an ingredient or two. Very nice staff and fine ambiance.
Such a fabulous selection of first rate recipes. Something creative for every type of dietary choice/need. Creative food and cocktail choices and great wine list. Really captures fresh, local cuisine with a reasonably priced dining experience. Can’t wait to return.
Food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. The only downside was the ambient noise level, at times I had to lean in to hear the person sitting next to me.
Never disappointed with the food. But the noise level is brutal.
We waited some time at our table before our server arrived. I had asked whether bread and butter were offered, and only then were told there was complimentary hummus and chips. We opted for bread, and were served four tiny slices and two pats of butter for four adults.....paltry to say the least! The appetizers were excellent. All four of our entries were lukewarm which is not acceptable in a restaurant of your caliber. The entries were flavorful. We felt our server was spread too thin, and we did not receive the service we expected. We may return in the future; however, in all honesty I am not sure. For my birthday dinner, it was disappointing.
I'm from Southern California where restaurants have to be at the top of their game or they don't stay. I enjoyed the evening at Amadeus and believe it is probably about the finest that Salem currently has to offer for upscale American fare. I wish them well and hope to return on my next trip to the area.
Fantastic just as my last visit in June. Wish I could take this place back home with me!
Whenever I have out-of-town visitors, I take them to Amadeus. It never disappoints! The only negative that I have is that it is noisy. The ceilings are high and the floor wood, so no acoustic absorption. The food and service are tops!
We selected Amadeus for the variety of offerings and ability to accomodate special needs diets. It did not disappoint and we can't wait to go back! the only thing that is a drawback is the sound level, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as it shows the liveliness of the crowd and enjoyment of the food and space. The cement floors and high ceilings and nothing to absorb sound make it hard to hear if you're at a large table.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. It can be a little noisy when all tables are taken, but not so bad you couldn't carry on a conversation. We'll be back for sure.
Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere! They have a good amount of Gluten Free options as well.
Finally, the city of Salem Oregon has restaurants that rival some of our favorites in Portland! Amadeus is not one of them.
It was "okay", not as good as in their former south Salem location. The price tag was stiff relative to the quality and quantity of the food. We were given a quiet corner which was what we desired for the occasion.
Waiter was great, flexible, but I was served "old coffee" which had a film on top and resisted the specific gravity of the creamer however, when I requested fresh coffee, did not think the coffee in the carafe was old and said so, then quickly offered an Americano as a replacement. Acceptable, but did not increase the tip.
We had a wonderful meal to celebrate two birthdays! We shared appetizers (Brussels sprouts and dolmades), and each of the entrees was spectacular. The recommended wine was perfect, service was personable and prompt. The best restaurant in Salem!
Food and cocktails on point as always. The lighting over the round table in the back is bright, almost harsh. Other than that great evening. Be back with friends soon.
We arrived and was pleasantly greeted and seated. We ordered a starter and wine. Then ordered our main Our salads came before our starter then everything came at once. However our waitress was amazing and took back our Amin and put in a new order.
A great, cozy restaurant in downtown Salem. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of Oregon wine.
Great place for special occasions. Loved the food.
Amazing food. It may be standard when the ticket was split but was a bit surprised at the automatic 20% onto our bill. We are healthy tippers but I suppose some aren’t.
We had a nice meal with good service. I would recommend Amadeus. One of downtown Salem's best dining locations.
