Meatloaf and shrimp and grits were excellent. Service was perfect. A really nice restaurant worth a visit.
Menu has changed and new different items. Pleasant atmosphere great food friendly waiters
We really enjoyed a.lure. We visited Savannah for only one day and chose A.lure. Our meals were delicious - I had the duck and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Our server was professional and well versed w the menu. Overall a great experience.
Amazing service by Curtis made the food even better. You must try the rabbit ravioli and shrimp/grits. Highly recommend this place.
First time at a.lure upon the recommendation of foodie friend. 3 women friends for dinner who had not seen each other in over a year.
We arrived 45 min early for our reservation on a Saturday night. They led us to a table for six that was set for 3 but very awkwardly for a conversation. We asked for a corner table set for two and to add a chair. The manager was VERY accommodating and very pleasant in making the switch. We appreciated the quieter table for conversation as the restaurant became more lively as the evening progressed. The food (grouper with blackeyed pea succotash was delicious. Would certainly recommend to others and will return. Thank you!
This is a truly excellent restaurant. Food is among the best I've ever eaten. My grouper was perfectly prepared with an innovative sauce. Pasta of the day was also excellent. Service was good, caring and, decidedly, unstuffy.
The food was unique and very tasty! The building was quaint and romantic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
One of the best restaurants in Savannah if not the best. Delicious creative....not oriented to massive tourist groups. Fine dining in casually elegant atmosphere. Do try the lamb carpaccio with blue cheese appetizer...so good.
Great waiter. Knowledgeable. The rabbit was outstanding. The dishes were great. Just a bit less salt!!!
Look for a nice, interesting food but not a budget buster on our vacation trip to Savannah. A local friend recommended a.Lure. We loved everything we ordered and the folks at the tables around us were also very pleased.
Very busy Saturday night. It seemed like they were understaffed.
Loved the ambience and the food. Very creative fare. The scallops were exceptional. The Filet Mignon Meatloaf is a not to miss. Exceptional place to eat.
The braised rabbit open-face ravioli appetizer was so delicious, I'd come back just to order a double as an entree. The meatloaf was exceptional - best I've ever had - in fact, so over-the-top good, its not really fair ( to other meatloaf ) to call it meatloaf.
Food was pretty good - but the meal was rushed. By the time the server came around to see if we wanted a second drink, we were almost done eating.
The experience was mixed. The food was delicious and the waiter was professional and friendly. However we had some unpleasant experiences. When we arrived for our 7:30 reservation our table wasn’t ready. We waited for quite a while. We also noticed that there’re a few empty tables and questioned the host why they cannot seat us and she said those were for people with reservations as if we don’t have a reservation.
We talked to the manager who told us that since we prefer a low table to a high table and didn’t specifically state it at the time of reservation we will just have to wait. I checked, there’s no way to specifically request one.
Finally a.Lure was run efficiently. As soon as our order was taken food started coming out, no gap in between. I’m not sure I like it or not. We didn’t have to wait long for our food but it also didn’t give us much time to converse. Maybe that’s why the two customers before us decided to stay an additional 30 minutes.
Excellent service. Amazing food. Will definitely be back!
While the food was good, the service was uneven. Our appetizer came long before our before-dinner drinks which was awkward. The bread basket came long after appetizers and drinks while other patrons were receiving the bread basket much earlier. Once the food arrived we were constantly asked if we were done eating. We had booked this reservation through OpenTable and indicated it was a special anniversary. The restaurant did no follow-up and never acknowledged the anniversary. Wouldn't recommend this in the future.
My wife and I really enjoyed eating here! This was our first visit. The service was fantastic which can be an issue sometimes in Savannah. The sangria was homemade and awesome. My wife has the streak which she loved. I had the chicken n dumplings where was really really good. I definitely recommend coming here! It's a great spot for date night, special occasion, anniversary, etc.
We sat on a banquette which was comfortable. The tables in the middle of the restaurant have hard wood chairs which don't work for me. The food was very good but my husband's grouper came to the table just warm not hot. I had the meatloaf which was delicious. Very different from my recipe. The flourless chocolate torte was fantastic.
The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. We were there at a slow time of the day so there were few diners present. Waiter was super nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Savannah.
Thoroughly enjoyed! Excellent service. Great desserts. The crab cake appetizer was phenomenal. Love the decor. We will definitely make this our “go to” restaurant.
My wife and I were in Savannah for a conference we wanted some sea food that represented Savannah and was away from the river front tourist crowd. A.lure met that plan. Lots of locals there, families, business folks, and couples. The service was great, they made me a Michalata, and as a Cali guy, it was great. Our meals were super and what we hoped for.
We had a great experience, the food was excellent and the service was great.
The good , service and music was perfect. It was a great end to our Savanna experience.
Always delicious! I am vegan and they always surprise me.
We were seated in the back corner so it was less noisy here and we could talk. Had we been seated in other areas however, the noise would have bothered me a little as we are older and like to talk over dinner rather than look at our phones. The waitress forgot to bring our appetizer but was very apologetic and otherwise took good care of us. The potato chip nachos appetizer was very good, the steak good but not special. The low country boil was very good. Overall it was a nice meal and we would go back there if we lived nearby.
We are from out of town. This was second time visiting the restaurant. We were returning to our home in Florida and made a special stop just to eat there again. They did not disappoint!
Food and service were excellent.
we had a really good dining experience. the service was friendly and timely. the meat loaf dish was crazy good, and i don’t get excited about ordinary meat loaf. we really like their spin on the low country boil, as well. we would definitely go back
We tried this restaurant on a whim and I’m so glad we did. The food was fabulous and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. I have already recommended a.lure to friends and family.
Food was fantastic--fresh, imaginative, sophisticated and Totally Delicious! Service also wonderful, quick, attentive and friendly--Maitre d' advised us not to wait twenty minutes for a taxi and called us a pedicab!
Nice but a little uneven. Some of our food was excellent and some of it was mediocre. Staff was super friendly and helpful (in the good way) but I wish it wasn’t so loud and that the food was more consistent.
a.Lure was an excellent find in Savannah. The food was fabulous, the presentation was exceptional and the service was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at a.Lure.
Everything was perfect!!! Service ...Food...Drinks...Atmosphere was romantic!!! Definitely recommend!! And will go back.
I was very happy with the entire experience! Great date environment!
It was a great experience for Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure if it was because of the holiday that the tables were closer together and the wait staff kept walking in between the tables and bumping everyone. Other than that, it was nice. The food was delicious and came it fast. We were on a time crunch and it was perfect. We had an hour and 20 minutes and we were finished before the time was up.
It was a great restaurant and the food was really good too!
Ive lived in Savannah for three years and have never been. It was awesome!!
Food was very good. Service was fair but felt rushed. Tables extremely cramped. Constantly being bumped by servers going by. At one point one of the servers aprons that had something heavy in it hit my knee causing me a lot of pain.
My friend and I decided to treat our wives to a couples weekend in Savannah. We chose this restaurant based off of previous reviews and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent all the way through. Then there is the food, it's to die for! The flavors were blended well and we all loved the dishes we selected. Overall this restaurant will be on our list of must do's when in Savannah!
