Everything that we had was delicious! Starting with the bread and homemade raspberry jam! Mussels were excellent as our appetizer. Two of us had shrimp and grits which were amazing and one had chicken and dumplings. Not your traditional dumplings! The key lime cheesecake was amazing for dessert! I can not say anything but great things!
Food was very good waiter even asked us if we wanted fine ground air course pepper
Great service from host to server to table bussing. Chef was so accommodating if God’s allergies and preparing vegan options. We will send our friends to this restaurant!
As always food is delicious with beautiful presentation and wait staff is friendly, helpful and professional.
Food was very good. They could use 2 bartenders on Saturday nights. We got our drinks well after the appetizers arrived.
Highly attentive to our strict gluten free dining requirements. Nice atmosphere.
We arrived early for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. While enjoying a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our upcoming 25th anniversary our charming waitress filled us in on some history of the city. The quality of the food was beyond our expectations!! The whole experience was a delight!!
The service was exceptional, great staff. Very lovely and attentive. The reason we wouldn’t recommend is because of the food. For the price you are paying it was just “meh”. There were mostly large groups of people there so would recommend for gatherings. It could have just been what my husband and I ordered (steak, that wasn’t cooked correctly, and the chicken and dumplings where the chicken was dry and not many dumplings). We would not go back.
Dishes very nicely composed, seasoned, and presented. Surprised us. Overly chatty server, but was attentive and helpful
Fantastic meal! Our waiter was so attentive and the food was so good!
Both service and food were great. We had a lovely night and will visit again if in town. I indicated the restaurant was quiet we also dined early so it did not fill up.
Lovely all around dining experience. A must do in Savannah.
Service was very personalized and good. The food was well prepared.
Drink at the bar before dinner. Very nice bar tender. Ambiance was nice and a little upscale. Food very good and a little unique. Waiter very helpful but not hovering.
Dining alone I arrived about an hour early for my dinner, met just about everyone on the staff since I was there before many people arrived. Just had a great time, everyone was friendly and informative, the food was great and the service was the best.
Fabulous experience! We’ve eaten at a lot of Savannah restaurants, and this was easily the best. Food was excellent and imaginative, but the staff really made the experience. Attentive, fun, conversational — we could not have asked for more. Atmosphere was low key — quiet enough to hear each other talk, and lighting sufficient to read menus/see food without being overdone. Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect from the moment we made the last minute Open Table request. Service was spot on and the food sublime. Great wine list. Fish entrees were perfect. Well worth going.
We enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers at A.Lure, but our entrees were extremely lack luster, which was a surprise considering the rave reviews and the prices. It wasn’t awful, but certainly wasn’t as good as the reviews we read made it out to be, and we don’t think we’d go back. Overall was fine, but when you pay $35-$40 for an entree you want it to be outstanding. I’d go for drinks and an appetizer, but skip the entree.
A.Lure is a small intimate, yet vibrant restaurant. The food was creative and delicious. Good wine list and dessert menu. Very attentive service from wait staff and management. Highly recommended.
Superb, creative cuisine, drawing on low country roots in a contemporary style. Crab cakes to die for and great entrees. Service could ease up a little, allowing diners to savor their delights before removing just finished plates or pouring more wine.
I was disappointed in the food at A.lure. We were really excited after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures online. After reading a couple of the reviews It sounded like they worked with people with food allergies but the way my food was prepared was pretty tasteless.
My husband and I have been here a few times now. We love trying new and different restaurants for our date nights. A.Lure has yet to be surpassed by any others we have tried. We have eaten almost every dish on the menu & have not been disappointed by any of them. Our go to appetizer is the open faced duck ravioli. Every entree is delicious & beautifully presented. Their wait staff is impeccable. I have been a waitress for 15 years for another establishment & I can say that the owner of a.Lure knows what he is doing. Hands down our FAVORITE restaurant in Savannah to date!!
My girlfriend had a great meal, my food unfortunately was burnt.
I had a fish encrusted in benne seeds and the seeds were completely burnt.
Our food was great and the service friendly and real. Seafood is their main gig (and the scallops in the Peas and Carrots were very well prepared - perfectly cooked, which is tricky), but their turf dishes were as expertly prepared. The rabbit ravioli is a MUST! and even something as simple as the tomato bisque was exquisite. Every bite was delicious and we will definitely come again!!
Would recommend that the restaurant offers de boning of fish if they have a catch of the day special when the whole 🐟 is served on the plate. They didn’t even offer a fish knife. Instead the restaurant manager did it and did a poor and unprofessional job of de-boning my fish. Had I known I would have done it myself and would made less mess on the plate that he did it. I was very disappointed by this experience.
Good food. Great service. Excellent pecan pie :)
Food and service were excellent.
Really a nice meal and the service was superb! We
Will be back the next time we are in Savannah.
i made a reservation in advance for my anniversary and when we arrived the hostess put us at the bar...really?? but the worst part was that the food!! it was really bad my husband got soooooo sick for the grouper. It was a bad experience in general. the only nice one was the server.
Good salads and great scallops and grouper entrees. However, rude on the phone and totally ignored by the hostess and manager while standing right in front of them. No eye contact or I'll be with you in a minute courtesy. Case of taking customers for granted. Waitress was very good though.
We thought the food was wonderful! The staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We both agree that the food is exceptionally good with an excellent array of choices. Perfectly nice wine list. Seating is in both chairs and banquettes, the music is soft and classic, the lighting is good, not harsh. The location is right near the City Market; it is an easy walk to theaters. I recommend going early as it is apt to be quieter with less bustle.
Had the pork shank and meatloaf and both were excellent. Our server was very attentive and courteous. Our issue was at the end of our dinner. When my wife finished her dinner they removed her plate and I was still eating my dinner (I wouldn't expect this at the high quality restaurant that a.Lure is). As I was still eating, I put down my fork to have a sip of wine and the manager came over and asked to take my plate (which I said I was not finished). I had not put the utensils on the plate in a way to suggest I was finished plus there was probably 1/3 of my entree remaining. I finished my meal and asked for the manager to come to our table. I told him my displeasure of what he did and his response was we'll look into it. No apology or concern that a customer was not pleased - nothing. He is a real detriment to the high quality of this restaurant!
We do an overnight in Savannah several times a year traveling to and from Charlotte, NC and Florida. We have a list of favorite Savannah restaurants and a.Lure is now on our list. We like a relaxing atmosphere with good food and service within walking distance of our hotel. a.Lure meets all our likes. Expect to spend $40-$50 a person for wine, appetizer/salad and entree. It's popular with limited tables. I would recommend reservations.
Had a pleasant meal while on vacation. Excellent food and preparation, high quality and inventive. My husband raved about the meatloaf and my seafood pasta was a great combo of flavors.
The food was absolutely fabulous. And the service was top-notch. Probably the one of the best duck dishes and scallop dishes we've ever had.
The food was amazing, great portions; thought we would get our dessert to go...wiped those plates clean! The waitress was excellent, very personable. Perfect dinner after a long day of traveling. ❤️
Delicious and friendly. Will definitely return next time I'm in town!
Enjoyed the cocktails. Service was great. Kept water glasses filled which is so important to us. Food was good. Lots of choices. We skipped dessert just because of the amount of appetizers and dinner portions we were served. Good choice!
As the French say, “pas mal. “ (not bad) just not very memorable. Service was sincere, and we felt everyone tried very hard, but not a place I’d return to.
