One of our Savannah favorites. Innovative dishes, generous portions, knowledgeable attentive staff. Small dining room and popular, so if you don't like close dining at 2 top banquettes, ask for a corner table for a tad more room.
The appetizers and The seafood pasta were amazing but the low country boil left a little to be desired. The wait staff was above and beyond in the service and the ambiance was great. Overall great dining.
Excellent, original and innovated cuisine. Really delicious. Blair was an excellent waiter and offered good suggestions and even had the chef prepare fried okra for me since I don't like fried pickle okra. Nice atmosphere. Good value. One of our dining highlights amidst a trip to Charleston.
Great restaurant. Excellent food.
Excellent service by Nemesio, memorable shrimp and grits.
My Fiance and I went to A.lure, I got the NY Strip and she got the Fillet. The NY strip tasted like charcoal lighter fluid and had a very bad aftertaste, the duck fat fries were cold on the plate. My fiance's Filet was ordered medium and she had to saw at it with a sharp knife to cut through it. There are too many restaurants in savannah for us to go back here ever again.
We had a reservation for a later time but they was were to seat us earlier in the bar area. Our server Tyler did a great job. We were giving a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary . We had the crab cakes appetizer as well as the deviled eggs, blue berry salad , meat and cheese charcuterie tray. Really hit the spot. Definitely go back
Loved the food and service.
One of the best restaurants in my opinion in Savannah well worth a visit
We were traveling with friends and found this restaurant on line. It was an excellent choice and hope to return one day.
Great menu. We’ll be back
Found this gem on a recent visit to Savannah. Food was amazing - I had the peas and carrots (highly recommend) and my husband had the seafood pasta (excellent). All staff were warm and friendly. Highly recommend.
The best meal in Savannah. My daughter went to SCAD and just graduated and our biggest regret is that we won’t be coming back to Savannah regularly anymore to eat at Allure!
We never miss this restaurant when we travel to Savannah. The food is consistently excellent as well as the service. My favorite dish is the scallops and risotto .I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful service, exceptional food and the ambiance was great.
The food was phenomenal. We were seated immediately even though we were a little early. Kyle our waiter went above and beyond. We were very impressed with his attention to detail.
Great food! Great service! I LOVED the tomato soup with the mini pimento grilled cheese sandwich! That was just to start....we enjoyed it all!
Great bartender/mixologist who really knew the wine list. Ambiance is terrific. Casual and Farm to table style. Service was weak. Food looked great but really disappointing to the taste bud. Hopefully this was a bad night and they pull it back together.
PS the truffle Parmesan fries are a must!
The duck was flavorful, but extremely chewy. Now I know it normally is somewhat, but this was excessively chewy. I presume the fat simply hadn't been rendered fully or properly.
The seafood pasta on the other hand was delicious!
Overall, it's got a nice atmosphere but the hit and miss food preparation makes this a miss in our books. With so many awesome restaurants around there's really no excuse. The staff was very polite, but our waitress (while very sweet) didn't seem to have a good grasp on the menu.
My wife and I had the good fortune to find ALure on Trip Advisor and used OprnTable to grab a reservation. I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best meals I have ever had. We started with the braised rabbit ravioli, I had the pork shank and my wife had the duck breast. Every single thing on every plate was delicious. I wish I lived in Savannah.
Everything was amazing! I especially recommend the blueberry salad, chicken and dumplings and filet mognon meatloaf.
While this restaurant was recommended by several, we were very disappointed in the service and food. Kitchen ran out of appetizer special by 7:15 pm and the restaurant was not even busy when we arrived at 7. The chicken in the chicken in dumplings was tasty but a very small portion. Also ordered the Peas and Carrots dish with scallops. Scallops were hot but the rest of the plate was lukewarm at best. Service was very slow. Maybe they had an off night but would not recommend. I do give the manager some credit as he removed the Peas and Carrots entree from our bill and treated us to dessert on him.
Service and venue were great but food was very disappointing. I ordered the meatloaf and it was gross. Very dense and tasteless. The green beans and 3 small potato wedges were cold and also tasteless. There were opportunities for the server to turn this experience around as my plate pretty much sat untouched but he didn’t take the initiative.
Added to my list of "must return" restaurants - outstanding!
Excellent restaurant in historic Savannah. Food was very good and nicely plated.
The food was just so so. The service was truly terrible. We asked for a napkin several times and finally got it. I requested my app with no mushrooms but it came with mushrooms.
Food choices were creative and tasty. The seating was a little close but not uncomfortable. Service was great.
Had an ok meal slightly spoilt by the very loud table next to us but obviously not the restaurants fault. The service was very good however.
Out of all of the evening meals we has during our 5 day visit to Savannah, our meal at a. Lure was by far the best overall experience. Dining at a. Lure can best be described as modern low-country. The service was unrushed and friendly. They really know how to pace a meal. They were also very accommodating by allowing a glass of wine to split into 2 half pours. This was so nice as it allowed my wife and I to have wines that best complimented each course. For appetizers I would strongly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the open faced rabbit ravioli. My wife's shrimp and grits was outstanding as was my duck entrée. I would say that one area of improvement for a. Lure is that they need to invest in an espresso machine.
Top notch! Delicious food, attractive surroundings, efficient service.
A wonderful restaurant. Stellar food prepared with great talent. Simple, classic interior. Would be glad to eat there again.
The open face rabbit ravioli was delicious, so was the whole fish. I enjoyed my shrimp and grits but they were a touch to heavy on the cream and cheese. Our server and the manager were great, the made up for the hostess who is rather off putting, borderline rude. Apparently we weren't alone in thinking this, the couple seated next us were very vocal in their displeasure of her treatment of them. Don't think I would return if we return to Savannah.
The entire experience from ease of making a reservation to the meal and service were beyond phenomenal. A deffinite must for anyone in or near Savannah.
Disappointing. Food was okay, not fantastic. I wasn’t very hungry and just wanted a salad, waitress said it was tiny, why is a tiny salad $9.00. Husband had seafood pasta and was disappointed in the seafood. He had fabulous mussels elsewhere the night before, those in the pasta dish couldn’t compare. There are many other restaurants in Savannah where you can get much more exciting food, better portions and atmosphere for less money. Especially disliked the waitress constantly trying to upsell.
Seated immediately with our reservation, great service, creative entree options
When ask if we had been there before and we answered yes. The waiter said that somethings had been changed because they had a new Chef. We should have left then. The last time we were in the place it was packed. The 80 to 90 minutes we were there only a few people showed up (on a Saturday night). I ordered the shrimp boil as I had had before. Spouse ordered the chicken livers , let's just say she was not impressed. When I saw my boil, I was like a kid that had had his Christmas taken away. The potatoes were small, the sausage was cut paper thin and there was NO corn. They poured some no flavor juice into my bowl which completely diluted the "corn creama". The chef is self centered enough that he has had the salt and pepper removed from the tables . To all, I sometimes believe MY food needs a little more seasoning. Please allow me the opinion to do so.
ALure rocks! My husband and I came here during a vacation trip to Savannah. The staff were so warm and friendly, we felt like favored regulars. The food is spectacularly good, especially the sea scallops. I also enjoyed treating myself to a lovely 30-year-old tawny port. It's in our top 5 restaurants ever!
A lovely dinner in every way. Servers were welcoming, friendly, and professional; the food was excellent. We can highly recommend a.Lure!
