We’re on vacation so day after day of eating out. At this stop: Rabbit ravioli superb. Crab cakes meh (don’t order). Shrimp and grits very good although too much bacon (yes, there is such a thing). Blackened snapper special very good although too much sauce. Wine by the glass boring but fine. Great rolls with great homemade jam. Amazing sorbet. Service pleasant if slightly slow (but not horribly so). All in all, it was fine if unlikely to be memorable.
Food was Amazing!!! We had different Meat and Seafood entrees.... Delicious!!! Appetizers came out fast and hot. The Service was excellent!!! I don't mind paying a little extra for great food and great service!!!! Highly recommend it!!!! We will east here again!!
Pleasing environment. Happy we went there. My steak was a little salty
Kit was phenomenal and very gracious as a host and server made our last night in savannah a great one!
Incredible food. A fresh approach to southern cooking. Very friendly service.
Great dining experience. What a find.
The food was good quality, but not amazing. The portions were small for the price.
Unbelievably kind and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return.
This is a small and very noisy restaurant. They are clearly struggling with their waitstaff since it was apparent our server had never been properly trained. She poured champagne into wine glasses and then tried to pour red wine into the same glasses after we had finished the champagne. She stacked plate upon plate and kept forgetting to bring fresh silverware. I will say she was a very nice and happy person, though. The appetizers were amazing, the salads were way too overdressed, and the entrées were good but a little under seasoned. It was a little bit disappointing because we indicated on our reservation that it was a birthday celebration, yet it was obvious no one was aware of this. The wine list is very short and disappointing. The hostess was turning people away despite the fact that they had tables open, and then they were rushing us out at the end of the night after we spent a good amount of money and were simply waiting for our Uber.
Absolutely delicious. From the Paloma cocktail, mussels and deviled eggs, to the best pan-seared Red Snapper I have ever had. My dad had the seafood pasta, which he loved. Great ambiance.
Very nice quaint place for our anniversary. Staff was very friendly and our meal was delish!
Visiting Savannah with dad and they were so creative with traditional southern food. Definitely a great experience and left us with high standards for restaurants for rest of our trip.
The food was very good and beautifully presented. The wine list was very, very small, and they were out of about half of those few. I would recommend bringing your own wine!
Excellent food. Excellent service. Best shrimp and grits ever and peas and carrots were superb. Finish with the pecan chocolate pie. Perfect
I'd been to A.lure many times prior to the pandemic. Back then the food was good and interesting. The service was hit or miss. Unfortunately coming back wasn't a pleasure.
The service was the worst that I'd had at any upscale restaurant! The waitress couldn't even get soda water to the table. She kept forgetting to bring the things we'd ordered. We were never offered bread and when we asked for, it didn't arrive until 1/2 way through our main course. We waited 15 minutes to get soda water, 1/2 hour for the drinks and 45 minutes until the appetizers arrived. We watched as tables that came in way after us were ready to leave before we'd ordered our main course. We waited almost an hour and 1/2 for our entrees and she never came to the table to see if we needed anything. I had to sen another server to get her. The restaurant, though full when we arrived cleared out pretty fast.
As for the food, my $14 salad had 3 blueberries, 2 pea sized pieces of goat cheese and some candied walnuts. No, it wasn't good. My husband ordered deviled eggs which where made with too much vinegar.
I'm pescatarian and can't handle cream. The fish with pasta comes with a cream sauce. I asked if another sauce could be substituted, I can't digest cream. She told me they could substitute Alfredo. Really, I could have cream sauce or cream sauce. (Suggestion to the chef, keep a bottle of Rao's marinara sauce for people who are lactose intolerant.) The only other dish I could eat was the peas and carrots. I ordered it because I was starved and it was the only dish on the menu I could eat. (Another suggestion, add your bacon last so can be easily removed. You might also consider keeping some salmon fillets on hand. Please don't add bacon.)
My husband said his shrimp and grits were alright, nothing special. My son and his friends enjoyed the pork. We all thought the service was horrible. I was told, from my son who's worked in restaurants that my 15% tip was too much.
Simply a great meal. The cocktails were excellent, the rabbit ravioli was a perfect shared starter and the low country boil and peas and carrots were delicious mains. Very good service as well. We’ll be back.
Food was delicious, restaurant clean and decor attractive
Celebrated our anniversary and the service was exceptional.
Excellent ! A must when you are in Savannah ! Great food and service. Reserve ahead of time ! It books fast!
Great diner at a. Lure. Food was fabulous and our server Nick was great. Will definitely go back.
Delicious food in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The food was light yet filling and full of flavor. I had the peas and carrots (scallop) dish.
It was extremely elegant with the white tablecloths and candles on the tables period I have to say I had the best shrimp and grits I've ever had in my entire life! It was awesome!
Perfect place to take a friend from out of town. Great ambience, friendly servers and the food is second to none in Savannah, which is saying something in this foody town. Great meal - don’t miss the ravioli appetizer. It’s actually quite light and just so flavorful. Scallops, called Peas and Carrots on the menu, were fantastic. Southern food with a light touch.
Great food. Great service. We were very impressed top to bottom. Could use a few more beers...but that is just one guys suggestion.
Food was moderately good. Service the same. Not excellent but not bad.
We spent (3) days in Savannah and this was the best restaurant we dined at. Food was excellent, service was good. We were pleased with our choice.
Anniversary- Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The food, the service and all of the staff are so engaging. This was our favorite meal in Savannah ❤️
Great service from Mick and John! Excellent food!
Great food presentation and taste. Peas and carrots with scallops was delicious.
Mahi mahi was overcooked, braised rabbit ravioli was like gravy and would have been better over a biscuit instead of ravioli, fried green tomatoes were overcooked and hardly any tomato.
The service was incredible. The server was very attentive. Gave her opinion on the dishes and what she would recommend. The food was so good. The only issue I had was I ate way too much. The food was too good to stop. I would recommend trying the fried green tomatoes.
Great intimate, yet lively atmosphere. Food was fantastic and service was great!
Birthday celebrations was made spectacular by our server Chrystal! She was lovely, and knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. We had the most delicious red snapper ( great sauce)...awesome meatloaf, loved the appetizer chips, and can’t wait to have the chocolate pecan pie again!!!!
Thank you A.Lure for a wonderful dining evening
Star of the show were the mussels!
Food was great. Very good steak. Rabbit ravioli was delicious! Good service
