Great food and service. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us 2 glasses of champagne when they heard it was our wedding anniversary...pleasant surprise!
Horrible service, iffy food and non working restroom.
Service was average at best. Seemed a lack of an organized plan to service all patrons.
The servers were friendly when servicing tables.
As far as food, asked about the shrimp size in the shrimp and grits dinner. Was informed they were of good size.
The meal arrived and at best the size was just a bit over very small size.
Had to ask for bread as we saw many other tables sat down after our table received a bread basket.
Overall, for the price what we hoped would be a great dinner turned into a meal with many disappointments.
The ambience was great. The fried green tomatoes were amazing. The tomato bisque was also delish. I ordered the peas and carrots. The scallop was cooked quite well but the risotto was lack luster. When I mentioned this to the waiter he apologized but never offered any rectification such as a different side dish. I thought it was just me until the table next to me had the same complaint. My husbands pork shank fell off the bone and had great flavor.
Service was great and food was delicious (especially the whole fish) Service was wonderful and the staff friendly.
It was 50th Birthday weekend. Alure was recommended from a friend that used to live in the area. Did not disappoint. Service was excellent and food was amazing!
Terrible service. When we arrived, the host had given our reserved table to someone else. The service took forever to get drinks. Food was good but not worth the service.
Our waiter was exceptional! Our food was appetizing and excellent. Our favorite restaurant for our visit.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Excellent food. Friendly and helpful waiter. We’ve been travelling around southern USA for 10 days and this was the tastiest food to date.
Great restaurant! We were celebrating our 1st year anniversary and they toasted us with champagne, very nice!! The food was excellent, as was our service by Jessica. She was very knowledgeable and personable. I had the shrimp and grits, amazing!! My husband had the duck, superb! The bartender was also on point with the beverages we chose. We will definitely be back when in Savannah.
Great Restaurant. Highly recommend 😊
The food is delicious and inventive in this lively restaurant. I had the Rabbit Ravioli which was sublime followed by a main course named Peas and Shoots which was a brilliant combination of sautéed scallops and slow cooked pork belly. The service was quick and attentive.
We ere extremely disappointed. I ordered the duck breast which came out raw and none of the fat had been rendered off, which made the skin inedible. My husband had the meatloaf which started out good, but the enter was mostly filler. I wold not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! The menu was thoughtfully done and beautifully presented. Last night we ordered the Lamb Carpaccio, Deviled Eggs, Shrimp and Grits, Meatloaf, and Grouper. We were stuffed, but made room for the homemade sorbet. We would go back in a heartbeat! Our Uber driver recommended a.Lure to us and we are so grateful!
Got there early to get a quiet table. This one of Savannah’s treasures!
Service great. Food so-so. Do NOT get steak as it is of poor quality meat, lots of gristle and very tough for a New York Strip - too much like Bonanza or Sizzler food chains.
Excellent French cuisine and superior service. Definitely will return.
Waitress was sweet but service was bad. Food was worse. Maybe they were having an off night. I’ll never know because I won’t be returning.
We found A.Lure at the recommendation of our host at a local Bed and Breakfast, who said it was her “absolute favorite.” We couldn’t agree more. It was a lovely spot for our anniversary dinner, with a great ambiance—quietly sophisticated but comfortable and friendly. The food was fabulous; my husband pronounced the shrimp and grits dish “one of the best ever,” and I savored the low country boil. We’ll go back before our visit to Savannah ends!
Enjoyed drinks at the bar before we went to our table. All of the staff was great and the drinks were very good. Food was delicious and creative. Would definitely go back!
We had an early reservation (6PM) and basically had the place to ourselves. The food was DELICIOUS! We had two orders of the deviled eggs to start, and they were perfectly perfect! Our server was attentive, as was the manager. The bartender made wonderful pre-dinner cocktails and the wine list complemented the entrees. I had the pork shank and it was like BUTTER!! We would definitely go back!,
Service was poor. Bartender overwhelmed. Greens were too heavily salted. Fish was overcooked. Perhaps it was an off night.
Fantastic restaurant. Whole fish special was spectacular.
Dinner was good but pricey. Service was just ok. Dinner was roughly 2 hours.
This place has a lot of wonderful reviews. We went based on those reviews. The food was really terrific.
I felt our waitress was extremely inexperienced in the food and ways of this restaurant. The tables are very tight. Drinks took 30 minutes to get to our table, three away from the bar. Our reservation was at 7 pm and dinner got to our table at 8:30 pm. There is only one restroom so there is a line into the restaurant, in front of diners, waiting for a single stall.
I think there is room for improvement relative to service and ambiance.
It was very good, just a little pricey. We are native Savannahians who love to experience new restaurants or places we haven't been before. The food and service were very good, just considered the prices a bit high. The Tourists probably don't notice, but many of the natives do. Also you need more than a small single bathroom for patrons. Again tourists may not notice, but natives do.
Outstanding. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great food.
I wanted a low country shrimp boil! If you are looking for a traditional boil, this is NOT the place. But if looking for an upscale, modernized version, you will not be disappointed. Food was good, service was really good! Overall, not what I expected but would definitely recommend!
Service was great.
I celebrated my birthday in Savannah and chose a.Lure for dinner. The menu is a modern take on low country cuisine. My husband had the Low Country Boil which he enjoyed. It was a good introduction to the local cuisine and just the right amount. I ordered Shrimp and Grits and it was prepared with enough proportion of creamy grits with bacon to shrimp. For dessert we wanted something light, so we chose the sorbet trio of strawberry basil, raspberry mint and I think either blackberry or blueberry tarragon. It was a standout and the perfect ending to a most delicious meal. Service was warm and welcoming. We're definitely returning the a.Lure next time we're in Savannah!
Peas and carrot dish best ever!
Great food, great window seat for people watching. Loved the pumpkin adult beverage
Absolute perfection, our favorite dining experience of our week in Savannah. Service was friendly and attentive, cocktails were excellent, and every dish was divine. It was a very comfortable place to enjoy our meal and drinks. Great atmosphere and we enjoyed the background music, stellar jazz and lounge covers of great songs from the last few decades. We sat at the window, and despite the busy street and open door, noise levels were fine.
This is the type of place that becomes a tradition. We look forward to visiting Savannah again and returning to a.Lure
The menu can be much improved. The mussels and the sea scallops were good but it didn't have that Wow factor that makes me to come back. Both bar and dinner service were very good
Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had.
Great food and service. It was a bit on the loud side, but not unbearable. 10/10.
We have a list of Savannah restaurants to try. Alure had an opening earlier so we took it. The food was just ok. It seemed that the chef was attempting to use a lot of fall flavors. A lot of our food tasted like cinnamon of maybe pumpkin. The special snapper has an excellent presentation but again the spices on the outside were not of our liking. The fish under the outside was bland. The sides were on the same plate so the outside of the fish mixed the flavors with the cinnamon.
The white sauce used was just average. The duck was tough although cooked med rare. The stark was the best item but it was seasoned or marinated with a different marinade that made it average.
The service was good. The server was sweet, accommodating, and funny. I just wish the food was better. We spent 300 dollars for dinner. The food should have been a lot better.
Hi Tim! I am sorry you didn't enjoy the Whole Fish of the day! We do change it daily and I apologize you didn't enjoy this particular set up. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your server. We do hope you give us another try. Have a lovely week. Mary
very good food. waitress was new but lovely - and tried very hard to make us happy. steak came out well done instead of medium rare, but his was rectified very quickly and without question - drinks were superb - everyone was great. will definitely go back again.
The food was absolutely delicious & our waitress Olivia was The Best.
Not the level of service or wine selection for this type of restaurant.
