The waiter was helpful and attentive. The food was awful. Some of it was undercooked and flavorless. We had to ask the waiter for salt and pepper to just add some flavor. We will not go back. For that price, the food should be spectacular

My husband and I have been here over a year ago february and enjoyed it then, we went because we had family in town and thought we should try it again. We had a beautiful table outside and the setting is very nice, my only complaint is the swimming pool is right next to the patio and there were tons of kids and families, I suppose on spring break and from out of town. The food was fantastic and a beautiful presentation and we had dessert this time which was amazing! I would most definatly recommend going to this restaraunt, you do need reservations. I forgot to mention, with dinner you get tickets for a free gondola ride which is just awesome, the gondalier was entertaining and sang just beautifully. Our visiting family were just impressed and had a wonderdul time.

The surrounds of the restaurants is OK, but the food is horrible.

For starters, i ordered the calamari, and it came out very chewy with no flavor at all! Then for the main course, I ordered the Italian sausage, as my wife ordered the chicken, both were EXTREMELY bland, and the chicken was even dry!

I suspect a restaurant that has been around for a while, and has a name four it’s self, should know what they are doing.

I will NEVER come back, or recommend this horrible restaurant to anyone!!!

food was good and atmosphere was nice. Only issue with the whole experience was the restaurant was understaffed and we waited 30+ minutes for our table when we had a reservation. I would go again with the hope that they properly staff the restaurant

Fantastic food and very hard Cardinals

Nice venue. Good food, drinks, and service. They give you gondola passes for the resort at the end of the meal.

The service was awful, and this wasn't just out table but every table around us. It took 45 minutes just to get our first drink on the table. Other people actually left the restaurant during our meal because it was so bad. We stayed in AZ for five days, choosing different restaurants for lunch and dinner every day, and this was by far the worse meal on our stay.

The restaurant was perfect for Valentine's Day dinner. Our server was most attentive. We enjoyed the meal and the ambiance.

Amazing food and service, incredible wine. The gondola ride was a great ending. Went for surprise 16th wedding anniversary. Wife was completely surprised and the staff even allowed me purchase flowers that were at the table when we arrived. 5star !

We started with the bruschetta that was very well seasoned. We had the spinach salad which was good but it's a salad. Our main courses were pappardelle and black pepper linguini. Our waiter suggested adding shrimp to it(Linguini), great suggestion by Robert. We both thought the pappardelle was slightly the better meal. That was because of the sauce but the shrimp was the best part of both meals. I was impressed the chef makes the pasta daily, you can tell. For dessert we shared the gondolino, we are both big crème brûlée fans and putting the fruit in a gondola shape display was a nice touch. The shrimp was our favorite followed by the gondolino then the bruschetta. My only negative thought was the portion sizes were small for the cost of the meal. But, we did get a gondola ride out of it, too. All and all, not bad.

I had read the service was poor from past reviews, we found just the opposite with Robert and Louis.

The gondola ride was very nice but a little short to fully enjoy it. I would recommend both the restaurant and gondola ride for a very romantic evening. Just avoid valentine day itself for the ride, they double up couple in the gondola which will lessen the mood it was intended for.

Our whole experience was so memorable and lovely! Thank you to the servers and the chef. What a romantic dinner ended with a gondola ride as the moon was rising! Spectacular! Next time we plan to make it an overnight stay!

A very limited menu; service was poor; yet the restaurant was barely attended, and we had to wait forever between each course and for our bill. The butternut squash soup was very good as well as the Arancini. Three of us had the chicken entrée and none of us really thought it was worth the high price. The Pappardelle was very good. The cappuccino was poor. Overall, a poor rating for such a highly recommended restaurant where are expectations were obviously too high.

Service and meal choices were perfect

Pasta was very good. Cod was very small and swirl of purée and leaf of arugula. Steak was good but no potato option and only 4 Brussels sprouts. Shared calamari was delicious but small as were the salami and 2 pieces of cheese. If the portions were bigger the experience would be better.

Great ambiance and service. However, the menu was quite limited and I wish the menu had more choices for vegetarians

Disappointing. Alto doesn't have it's own cozy space as you might expect of a nice Italian restaurant, rather it's shoehorned into the back of the hotel's southwest style restaurant.

Food was for the most part good. The one glaring exception was the pasta, which despite coming highly recommended by the waiter, was so under-seasoned it was criminal.

Love this restaurant and the serving staff is great BUT the kitchen must need staff because the times we have been there the food takes FOREVER!! We will try again in the future hoping this situation has changed but we won’t return soon.

Romantic dinner with a free gondola ride is very attractive if you are here as a date or special romantic event, however, even you made an reservation earlier and notice the restaurant that you are here for a birthday dinner, they prepared “nothing”, not even a “happy birthday greeting”. The server lack of experiences, don’t know how to introduce chef’s special, and pour the wine. It’s a bit sad with this high class (price) restaurant. I might not coming this restaurant again, but Hotel was amazing!

First date, so I had to impress. How could you go wrong with a table next to the fireplace and a romantic Gondola ride with singing Gondolier. Great service from Christoph, who was thoroughly familiar with the menu and wine list.

The server offered a special that was not what I expected. She gave me a second option that was a poor piece of steak and a vegetable that I was unable to eat. My husband ordered a steak filet but they took it back when they returned with my meal. We were told there were no more filets left so he had the same meal as I had. He said he would have rather had a cold filet rather than have a substitute dish that was poor quality. The only good thing about the meal was the bread. The meal was very disappointing. We left still hungry.
We went back to where the music was being played and enjoyed an after dinner drink.

We came here for my husbands birthday, which we’ve did when while we dated. The first occasion was perfect in every manor. This time everything was horrible, had cocktails at the bar before sitting down, that took 15 minutes. Bartender never explained why, realized they didn’t have all the ingredients for them. Sat down and was told our server was Brittany, a wonderful guy named Austen helped us. We saw our server only a few times, she had other tables that were having issues. We got our wine and appetizer, asked for bread for the meat and cheese plate. She never came, asked the manager, never came. 20 minutes later Austen asked us for something, we got bread finally. We decided to cancel our dinners with him, the manager that never brought us Brad was trying to deliver our meals. We told him that we already canceled our meals because of service issues and he apologized. He came back to invite us again to try the restaurants at his expense. We declined, he comped the items that we had purchased already and we left it at that. We tipped the server we were given and tipped Austen for his help. The manager even said he felt disconnected with what was going on tonight with the service and food issues. We will not be back ever, they ruined my husband birthday dinner.

Recently went here for dinner. Our whole dinner took about 2 hours. The service was horrible. No server knew whose table we belonged to, drinks and food took well over 25 minutes to receive. It seemed to be the theme of the night after talking to other patrons. We did however have a great water/bread server.

The salmon dish did not have flavor n no taste and second dish steak minion also had no flavor or meaty taste both dish had cut potatoes n was more flavory, the bread n cheese and n olive oil was very delicious for a first time of my date enjoyed all ecept her meal steak, gondola ride was good too beautiful place for a great date or getaway thank you

Food was really bland. There was no flavor in anything. I had an extra case of chick fil a Sauce in my purse. And used that to dip my chicken in, and then my meal tasted somewhat decent. Not worth the money at all.

I wanted to share our experience at your restaurant on 10/21/2017. I had planned this dinner way in advance and also had arranged for flowers to be delivered to the restaurant the morning of our reservation which was at 6:15 pm. We had our wedding anniversary dinner at this restaurant in 2015 with flowers on the table the gondola ride afterward was a perfect touch very romantic, drinks afterward by the fire and the band at the hotel.

Well when we got to the restaurant there were no flowers. I asked where they were and they did not have any idea. Needless to say they were never found and FTD indicates that they were delivered to the restaurant. I was upset and felt terrible for my wife because I knew she was let down as well. The manager apologized extensively indicating he would accommodate and make it right for us. I did not really pay much attention to that since I was focused on my wife. We had dinner and were looking to the after dinner romantic gondola ride.
The waiter indicated that the manger graciously comped our dinner salads and a dessert…..I mean seriously. That indicated to me right there how sensitive your manager was to the situation. $160 dinner and you comp two dinner salads and a dessert that the manager (not this one) brought to us as an anniversary gift in 2015. I paid and they gave us two passes to the gondolas. The gondolas were busy but they said no worries we are doubling up on the gondolas! While we were talking to him they were putting a family with a crying baby on the gondola and had a couple not assosciated with the family sit in with them. The individual at the counter said just be glad you are not on that boat. Obviously they did not understand the concept of a gondola ride. I mean they were treating this as if it was a State Fair ride. I again saw how disappointed my wife was because she remembered from 2015 how romantic our last time was on the gondola. I placed the gondola passes into the trash and we walked away and went home.
