Altitude Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Denver Ratings and Reviews
Vegetable curry was soooo good!! Our server, Barbie, was great and did not skip a beat. She was friendly, professional and joked around with my partner and I. The restaurant and the service was outstanding and is the reason we choose Hyatt again and again. Please recognize Barbie for the amazing work she does. Thank you.
I was disappointed as I thought I was making reservations for The Peak. I didn't know The Peak was the bar upstairs. Altitude is a misleading name. The restaurant was empty which speaks volumes. The Peak was packed (we had a drink after dinner to see the view). The restaurant needs to be The Peak (with a better name).
Breakfast meeting, chose to order off menu and stay at table talking. Pet peeve when ordering breakfast out - have everything arrive at once. My omelet came out lukewarm, but the bread for the table (toast, English muffins) came out only after well into my breakfast (and not really hot). While I might eat here again due to proximity to Colorado Convention Center, I can't strongly endorse for breakfast.
We had reservations but showed up early and they were able to seat us right away. Our waitress Kimberly was very perceptive and took it upon herself to see if different arrangements could be made to accommodate our tastes. The manager came by to make sure everything was going good for us. It was very comfortable and we felt very attended to. Thanks Kimberly and the staff at Altitude.
Four of us dined here before our show at the Bellco. The trout dinner was wonderful and the prime rib was as well. Good prices and nice location for Performing Arts events. Parking was kind of hard and expensive, next time taxi or Lyft!
We also went up to the 27th floor for after dinner drinks and dessert, what a beautiful view!
We came here for the Prime Rib Friday Night special. It took 50 minutes to get our salads, and did not get bread (when everyone else did), kids did not get kids' meals until nearly 9PM when I requested that they speed them up! Service was terrible. Food was great, but should not have taken that long when they weren't busy and it was a special that would have been cooked hours in advance!!
We enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch at Altitude and what fun it was! Kids 5 and under were free and there was not one time we felt that our young ones were out of place! They had as much fun as us adults did. First of all the customer service is outstanding. We never had to ask for anything. Drinks were refilled continuously. One of the kids dropped a spoon and someone was right there to pick it up and provide a new one. Plates were cleaned off regularly to provide us room. The food choices were great. This buffet had 3 different choices of meats in the carving station alone: Prime rib, pork loin with a cherry sauce, and crab stuffed salmon. There is an omelet station where you can get all the fixings or just a fried or scrambled eggs if you wish. There is a pancake station with not only the usual toppings but a fresh berry topping with huge berries in it. Then there is a whole other room with an assortment of breads, cheeses, sliced meats and nuts, as well as a fully stocked salad bar and about 10 options of warmed foods. The roasted vegies were a favorite of mine with huge pieces of tender vegetables, not your run of the mill sliced zucchini and yellow squash. Finally there was a 3rd area of deserts that made my day so complete! These were not your usual deserts but red velvet cake with some kind of frosting in between that was fantastic. On top of the slice we had was a beautiful butterfly made out of white chocolate. Another option was cupcakes that looked as though they came out of "Cupcake Wars" with chocolate lady bugs or tiny chocolate straws as part of the decorations. There was lemon poppy seed berry cheese cake slices and bonbons to select from and so many others I cannot even begin to remember their names. I am not giving the food a 5 star rating as a couple of items were overcooked/dry which was probably due to the fact that we had a late lunch setting. In spite of this I would definitely recommend this brunch and we will return.
We held several business breakfasts and Lunches over a three day period in conjunctions with a Conference being held in the Convention Center Across the Street. The entire staff was so very accommodating and welcoming. As a Meeting Planner I highly recommend!
Again sincere thanks to all!
Lovely Hostesses greet you as you walk. Wait staff very professional. My first meal there I didn't eat the sandwich because I felt it was just bland. When the waiter say I didn't eat much he asked why, and the next thing I know the Chef himself came out to apologize! Of course they offered me anything I wanted at no charge - very professional!
We had several Business Breakfast/Lunches and all went wonderfully.
Sincere thanks to both Jordy and Demi the hostesses and their entire waitstaff!
We were only ones in restaurant at first. Seated immediately, excellent service from all staff, salmon was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty, chicken was very flavorful with Brussels sprout hash, also quite good; vegetable curry was ok, not awesome but not bad. Wine list was good.
Very nice brunch and great atmosphere. I however, was very turned off when I received a call from the restaurant two days before our reservation and a message said if I did not call back to confirm my reservation that day by 5pm they would cancel our reservation. I thought this very odd and have never experienced this with a restaurant.
Very disappointing. Hour and half to get food. Waited 10 minutes for appetizer plates after appetizers arrived. 20 minutes to get all good served. Last food to come out obviously had been forgotten and was rare salmon. Over 2 hours and 15 minutes for meal. Wanted desert but didn't want I wait for it to arrive. Embarrassing event for me and my customer.
This was my first time at Altitude. Wow, was I impressed. From the first course to the last, everything was delicious. Caesar salad was the best I've ever had. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Asparagus was wonderfully seasoned. The chocolate cake with coconut filling and icing was the perfect ending.
Being at the HYATT we thought it would be overpriced. We were with our melaleuca group But the daily pasta feature was Beef Stroganoff -- oh my -- it was amazing -- the beef was tender -- it was very very tasty.
my husband had the Bison burger -- it was done to perfection.
the waiter was also very attentive and made him a special drink. but now birthday song lol -- please thank our waiter and your chef xoxo........
But the Blue Pear salad was one of the best I have every had
