Great experience on every level...from initial greeting at the door to exceptional food and service to a low corkage fee. The Brussels were phenomenal, the special steak tartare was great...all the food was wonderful. Nice night!

Excellent new restaurant. We tried three starters and three entrees and everything was great. Service was personable and attentive but not overbearing, and the atmosphere was great (music in particular). Hope to come back soon!

Another great chef’s tasting! Wonderful staff, talented chef and a great feeling of community. I am so grateful we have this little gem in our town. The wine pairings were really interesting and fun and the food is always great.

Love, love the Brussel Sprouts. We even had a second order! All service was great. Food was spectacular as always. Nice and relaxing atmosphere and did not feel rushed.

The food was spectacular however unfortunately the environment is not conducive to much conversation and the noise level, tight layout of tables makes for a less than relaxing experience. However the food was/is spectacular and we plan to return. We just need to figure out a quieter slightly less active time to come and to request a table in a quieter location.

This restaurant is excellent ! The food was amazing - the scallops and the NY Strip! So good - and I know this will sound crazy - but the Wedge Salad was the best I have ever ever ever had! The entire dinner was superb!!! The service was really great - casual and nicely paced! I like a restaurant where they leave you alone and not check in you every two minutes! It was just enough and easy to get the attention you need. This is a perfect neighborhood restaurant; however it really is a restaurant that should attract customers from all over the San Gabriel Valley, Glendale. It’s would be trek from LA - BUT worth the drive !

The rack of lamb was great. Halibut fish was fresh, but the spinach & mushroom that came with fish was way too salty from too much soy sauce. French fries & bread really good. Service was excellent

Another excellent evening at AltaEats. Very fortunate to have this quiet gem in Altadena. Chicken, scallops and halibut ordered for 3 of us. Each one perfection. Came at 6. Quiet. By the time we left at 7:45 nearly full. Fine service. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to our return!

It was a lovely evening at AltaEats but it was also just ok. Quality of food was great and fresh, portions are on the smaller side but enough to fill ones belly the execution was a bit boring and flavors were either flat or overwhelming. To be fair, those in my party are all former chefs. They sat us right away, the restaurant is sweet and intimate and service attentive. Will I be back? Probably stay home and make the same meal at home but it was nice to not cook for a night. Oh, the asparagus was dead on awesome. Get the asparagus. I hope they update their dessert menu…simple Flowerless Chocolate Cake is long overused.

The food was great. It seemed to take a long time getting out of the kitchen. Parking is a challenge. There are a total of 2 spaces behind the restaurant, so it is street parking. We did have a celebrity sighting while there. Altaeats is a pleasant dining experience.

We had a lovely dinner. The weather was perfect to sit outdoors. The service was excellent. And we had the great opportunity to speak to the owner/chef who was gracious and generous with his time.

I wish I could remember the sauce that was served with my rack of lamb. Not that I could even try to replicate it, but so I could describe it to everyone else. “So delicious” doesn’t even start to describe it. It was difficult to not lick the plate. My husbands soy miso halibut was amazing too. Add in their fresh bread and amazing butter - sounds ridiculous but they have one with cinnamon and honey that I had melting down my fingers from the warm bread and it was like dessert. But not really like dessert because that was saved for the pot de crème. OMG. I was so full, but so happy. The server was so kind and personable too. Really great date night, thankfully, because those are far and few between for us. But we knew we can count on AltaEats!

Altaeats is consistently delicious, with dishes we crave often (especially the Wedge, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Chicken Milanese, Beef Wellington, and Wagyu Burger). The roasties are such a great value so we love to swing by usually once a week to grab the takeout special! Chef Paul is also very hands-on, hospitable, creative, and once took a special dish (fondue plate) request for us from an IG DM! The staff are super polite and the ambiance is neutral and comfortable (especially the booths). Indoor or outdoor dining options, super clean, and a great ever-evolving wine list!
