Night long !!!
Baked Ziti with Sunday gravy (meat sauce) was terrific. Spicy moderate heat, nicely covered in mozzarella cheese then melted in there brick oven.
The tiramisu is made every day in house by the chef. It was delicious!
Alta Strada was recommended to us by friends, and it was the perfect place for a dinner date! It was quiet and decorated nicely. The menu is priced fairly for the large portion of food the entrees are. We got the ziti and spaghetti cacio e pepe and both were delicious, especially the ziti. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the bathrooms were clean. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
We were late for our reservation on NYE and the kitchen was closing. They still sat us, made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. This was our first time at this restaurant and we have nothing but great things to say about every person we encountered. We will be back!
After reading various reviews, I was hopeful. Someone went on about the tagliatelle bolognese. That was pretty tasteless. The chicken parm was good. Garlic bread was awesome. Penne aka vodka just tasted like plain red sauce with a bit of spice to it.. The sign said “wine bar” but they had only one terrible Chardonnay at $15 per glass. I guess that’s DC prices but I would hope for something decent tasting for that price. Service was ok, but rushed a bit. Overall, ok experience if you know what to order.
Great experience! Would recommend to family looking for Italian with kids!
Alta Strada, along with its sister restaurant, Nama, do this great thing where they will seat you at 830 or 9 (as they have reservations until 9) and then rush you for your whole meal. My friend and I had an 815 reservation, got there at 810 and ordered appetizers right away. The server came by approximately every 10 minutes if not more frequently to inform us the kitchen was closing. We ordered around 845, and got our food at 9. We were then visited every 6 minutes by the server trying to take our plates, which we had barely started on. They eventually got us out of there at 930. I would recommend only allowing reservations when you actually want people dining.
Consistent, good. Will come back
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. My glass of water was refilled before it was halfway empty. The server was helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Great food and outstanding service. A true standout in the area.
Such a cool little spot very good food service and ambiance overall would go back there again!
Service and food were very good. We had the meatballs and mushroom crostini to start following by a Caesar salad and branzino. All had great flavor. Cocktails were solid.
Like the open kitchen concept and restaurant has great ambiance.
Haven’t been there since before pandemic. Always was a favorite . The menu has changed some and yet everything we had from appetizers to dessert was still delicious. We brought friends and they said they for sure will go back again.
Ordered the Eggplant Parm entree and it was partly bitter and undercooked. Please take off menu if you can't cook it properly. No amount of sauce and cheese can disguise the taste. Ordered a side of only toasted bread and menu item garlic bread was delivered. 🤷🏻♂️
Good food, comfortable ambiance, attentive service, & overall good experience!
Food was divine, drinks were Delicious. Occasionally felt like the server forgot about us but good server.
Delightful! From the garlic bread to dessert- pleasantly surprised with their different takes in Italian food.
Dinner was ok, nothing special and not worth the $$ we paid.
It was delicious, the staff (Patricia) was great.
Amazing food and ambiance
Very nice family owned restaurant. The salads and pasta were delicious.
Excellent food, excellent value, clean, neat, great service!
I guess this is a local favorite, but as someone new who moved here, it wasn’t anything special. The food was subpar. And the service was minimal.
Great service very happy
Serving staff was attentive and polite. The wait for the food was not long, and it was at the right temperature. The food was extremely delicious and filling. If you prefer small portions, you could have leftovers, but I finished mine and was very satisfied. Overall, excellent!
Excellent meal with fantastic service.
Authentic food and friendly staff - highly recommended!
Great and helpful staff. Authentic food.
Great garlic bread
Food was impeccable, friendly service staff and great house made dessert selections. Recommend the Blood-Orange Gelato
Loved it! The food was delicious, our waitress was amazingly attentive, and the ambiance was perfect. Kid friendly to boot. Don’t hesitate to give it a try!
Everyone in my party was very pleased with their dishes. Authentic Italian quality. Great service. A little loud with street noise at times but not an issue. Would definitely go back
I was last night with my wife and two friends, We had a really good time, the food was amazing, the service incredible they are very nice people, I recommend this restaurant 100% for me 10 stars. Congratulations all them.
It was average.
Outstanding dining and service as always.
Excellent service and great food. We sat outside far away from the door and the wait staff still kept on top of everything. The complimentary tiramisu for my fiancees birthday was a nice touch.
First date!!! Big day!!!!
Portions were big, but everything was very tasty! Service was generally pretty fast.
We ordered off of the 3 course restaurant week menu. The portions were huge and very delicious. Our mixed drinks were also tasty. The restaurant was quiet and intimate. The service was good, although we weren't asked until late if we wanted second drinks. My husband's plate was extremely hot, but the food again was delicious.
