   Food was delicious and great portion sizes even although we had the Set Menu, which was great value. Servers were really nice, polite and attentive. Restaurant was clean and welcoming. Nice clean toilets too. Hope to be back soon.

   Great service, it was obviously busy as Mother’s Day but not the servers fault at all. Steaks cooked to perfect temp. All food and drink delicious. Servers attentive and nice.

   Prebooked and ended up seated in the "bar area" as overbooked I believe , ordered drinks and food pretty much on arrival, drinks arrived, then just over an hour later told no veg available as a side, then since we waited so long to be served, over an hour by then, we were given a free drink and the services charges were removed, After all that we felt rushed to leave, e The staff could not be nicer, not their fault at all that management overbooked and let them struggle on.

   Great food, great service, great drinks. Got a bottle of prosseco on the house as it was our ruby anniversary. Only issue only 1 cubicle in ladies usable out of 3 let's this place down.

   Again this is up there with one of the best meals we have ever had . Me my partner and daughter drove up for food for mothers day and i cant fault anything . Service is brilliant , food is outstanding the only problem is there isnt an alston bar and beef in manchester . PLEASE OPEN UP AGAIN IN MANCHESTER !!!!

    The food was amazing. We got the chateaubriand, it was the best steak be have ever ate. Mash, chips, greens, and the spicy Mac n cheese so good.

    Nice place. Only on for drinks. Been in loads for food in past visits. No table service for the bar is a bit of a let down considering the bar is fairly small

    This was our first time in Alston as we never knew it existed. After being told about it by our receptionist, we decided to give it a try. Before we even ate, we had fallen in love with the place. The whole ambience is fantastic. The food was excellent and the staff were superb. We will most definitely be back.

    I had a wonderful time. I asked for my steak to be medium and my partner asked for their steak to me medium rare. I think there was a mix up because I got the steak that I ordered but medium rare and my partner got their steak that they ordered but medium.

    Had a lovely meal in Alston Bar and Beef. I had set menu, £20 for two courses or £24 for three , good value for money, and a good selection to choose from on the menu. Husband had the fillet steak which I did think was a bit pricey at £39 but he said it was cooked perfectly, great fat chips. Staff were lovely, Would recommend.

    Booked this restaurant for lunch with my son who I was visiting in Glasgow. The venue was really lovely, great ambience, classy , service was excellent and steaks cooked to perfection. Will definitely book again, may try evening next time.

    We had a nice meal at Alston, although our table was booked for 3pm and we didn't get our food until almost 4pm. We did get a drink on the house for the wait, but when the food eventually arrived it wasn't very hot. Overall it was still enjoyable just not as good as the first experience I had.

    My partner and I love a good steak restaurant and we’re both glad we found this wee hidden gem. We had the chateaubriand which was absolutely fantastic. Everything that came with our steak was tremendous aswell. My only negative would be the sauce pots are way too small, I had to ask for a couple of extras but no biggy. Will most definitely be back

    We were a party of 3 and had booked for 4.15pm but we phoned to say we might be a bit later as we were just leaving the Ovo at 4pm no problem booking changed to 4,45pm Got our table immediately and service was excellent. Two of us had the Sunday Roast which tasted lovely but felt could have been a bit warmer also plates needed to be warmer, one had sirloin steak which was lovely but steak knife could have been sharper. The dessert pear crumble we were not charged for as it was the crumble was solid. We did enjoy our time in Restaurant and will go back.
