Alpine Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was our second visit to Alpine. Both times were pre or post concerts/shows at Artis-Naples. The food was outstanding! We had salads, the beef goulash soup, and pork vienna schnitzel. The portions were so generous. So bring your appetite. Our waiter was friendly, relaxed and attentive. Alpine is a real gem in a mall.
We were hungry for some Central European food, so we had dinner at Alpine. We were seated outside, because we had our puppy with us. The server greeted us , recommended some drinks and kindly brought water for the puppy. Everything we ordered was extra tasty, fresh, and authentic. We were happy we dined there, and will repeat.
We went on a Sunday evening during the slow Florida off-season (July). We were the only customers in the restaurant, but Alex made us feel very welcome and took excellent care of us. The food was plentiful and so good! Dessert and coffee topped it off perfectly. Must try!
Come here for the food! Truly excellent eastern European food, unpretentious ambiance and great service. We had our 2 year old and no one batted an eye, so perfectly fine for families. Not a fancy place, but that would not be why you visit here. A hidden gem
A gem if you like Czech/Slovakian regional food. The goulash was excellent....perfectly seasoned sauce with a soft dumpling to enjoy with the sauce. My wife's bratwurst and sauerkraut were excellent. The bratwurst are made on site. All in all a great authentic meal for a very reasonable price. Not a big selection of beer but their imported draft lager was a perfect complement.
Their food is excellent. The food is always hot. Their pea soup is outstanding and their jager schnitzel is out of this world. The schnitzel fills the plate - be hungry when you have dinner. Service with a smile. Best European restaurant yet. Been eating here since they opened and also at their old restaurant.
When we arrived after 6 pm on Sunday night, there was only one other table occupied. We wondered if we made a good choice, but the atmosphere was appealing so we stayed. And we are very glad we did. (Other diners did come in later.) The wine is very reasonably priced, the menu offered many different items, service was good. Started with house salad, which had a variety of veggies and accents as well as house-made dressing. Very good. One of us had schnitzel, the other goulash and both were excellent and HUGE portions. We took half of each home and enjoyed a lunch that was as good as the initial dinner. They offer tasty looking desserts, but we were well satisfied without them. We don't eat German food often, but this was a delicious diversion from the seafood we had been eating for weeks in Naples.
The German food was great and huge portions. The waiter was very German and pleasant. Lots of choices on the menu. We like to bring our wines to restaurants and understand the necessity of having to charge a corkage fee, but $20 seemed a bit high. I would highly recommend this restaurant for great authentic German food.
Nice restaurant, second time we have been there. My husband's background is German so he enjoys German cuisine. The owner and waiter are both very friendly and welcoming. We each had a nice glass of Riesling. The soups are outstanding and quite a few to choose from. I had the saurkraut soup, which was unusual and delicious. My husband had the chicken soup which he said tasted homemade. The soup filled me up, so I had the potato pancake. One, very large, crispy pancake. The best I've had in a long time. Husband had the roast pork with cabbage and large, fluffy dumplings. Heartily recommend this restaurant. We'll be back.
What a wonderful surprise right here in Naples to be able to enjoy authentic Eurpean cuisine that we thought only was available in NY.
We dined at the Alpine for my husband's birthday this past weekend (he loves German food). The meal was EXCELLENT! From the perfectly seasoned cutlets, mushroom gravy, red cabbage and spaetzle ( which was honestly just like my mother used to make), the Alpine is now our second favorite restaurant here in Naples. The owner Alex has a dry witty sense of humor which we loved who else would tell you the potatoe pancake has a bit of garlic and is greasy, hysterical and delicious. Alex sent us home with dessert for my husband's birthday OMG the cherry rum ball was to die for, it was literally the icing on the cake :).
German/Czech restaurant located in a shopping center. Was greeted at door, seated, with reservation, immediately. Got drinks and ordered then waited & waited for dinner while other tables around us who had ordered just slightly before us were served! Waiter (not ours) finally came over to say our food would be "right out". Once served, the schnitzel birhbweinet and jaeger were delicious. The bratwurst were homemade and tasty, sauerkraut yummy. The potato pancake was rather disappointing. Very thin, large and very crispy. Almost a potato crepe. Wasn't at all what I was expecting. We wanted to try their "famous " apple strudel. They had run out. We tried the plum cake and that was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food typical German fare cooked well. Not a bad place overall.
We've had the Weisner snitzle and jaeger schnitzel. Spaetzel was very good and the mushroom sauce to die for. Love the food.
Pretty plain and a bit noisy.
Two waiters the one is very friendly the other a bit gruff. I think he is making some attempt at humor but comes off as rude
Will return as we love the German food. Just like grandma used to make only better.
Potato pancake was outstanding as an appetizer and Jaeger schnitzel for dinner was delicious . We enjoyed a honey layered dessert there and took a piece of plum cake home for breakfast the next day, which was reminiscent of Grandma's. Great find tucked in a shopping center.
We were greeted and seated immediately. Ordered pilsners, sauerkraut soup and a potato pancake with applesauce and sour cream as a starter.
So good. Entree of Jaeger Schnitzel with spaetzle and brown sauce with mushrooms fills the whole plate, is light and crispy. Always enjoyable.
This is a GREAT restaurant. Truly authentic, absolutely delicious German food, very generous portions, reasonable. Our group has, on more than a few occasions, driven more than 45 minutes to eat here simply because the food is THAT good. I live three hours away but have been fortunate to work in the Naples area for a few weeks; if I lived an hour away I would eat here at least once a week. My favorites are the Jager schnitzel, farmer potatoes, cucumber salad and red cabbage. I can't tell tell you about dessert because I am too full from dinner to have dessert!!! I am already looking forward to my next meal there!!!
