A must if ever in the area. The staff was very welcoming and the dood was first rate.
Food was outstanding. Because it is off season it was quiet and very pleasant.
First time at the restaurant. It's located in a strip mall (was a bit hard to find since we were unfamiliar with the area). We went off-season so restaurant seemed pretty quiet. Waiter was friendly and helpful (although did disappear at the end of the meal which was interesting).
The star was the food. It was really good. The knedlo (roast pork) and Svieckova (beef medallions) were all quite tender and flavorful. Both came with steamed "dumplings" which actually reminded me of steamed bao but in a rolled form. With the knedla, they soaked up some of the sauce from the sauerkraut and were quite flavorful. I had the Jager schnitzel, which was good, but was really enhanced by the mushroom sauce. Overall, a very good experience, and we look forward to coming again when in Naples.
Enjoyed our visit and will be back again soon. Love the authenticity of the food. Chicken poprikash was wonderful.
Great food and attentive service. The running video loop of Europe was interesting to watch.
The food was delicious. Congratulations to the Chef! The ambiance is cozy. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will come back because it reminds the home cooked food of younger ages. Thank you!!!
Loved it and we live in Germany. Thanks for a taste of home.
Food and service excellent. My only complaint is the chairs are uncomfortable
Great restaurant :) really good food and knowledgeable waiter about food and culture . I will be stop by again when i will be Naples :)
Menu contains traditional fare with nice presentation and large servings. It was a wonderful discovery. Waiter was fabulous.
Restaurant us tint and no frills . We had the homemade food as recommended by the waitstaff. The waitstaff was lovely , the food arrived timely . We all ordered something different . I did not care for steamed dumplings , unlike anything I have ever had before . Pork chop and cabbage great . We did not have to wait long .
This is a decent honest place, just not outstanding. There are at least two other similar fare restaurants within a 2 mile radius, so you have some choices.
Not a simple place to find when plugged into a navigation app, since you get directed to the main building, not the front of the restaurant. Fortunately we found the suite number and were able to locate it at the rear entrance after having walked around the building.
The food here is typical Central European including schnitzels, goulash’s etc. This one is leaning further to the east, Slovakian/Hungarian, with some unique sounding names. When I asked the waiter whether he’d tried it, he said “yes, at home, but not here”. So I went with the Weiner schnitzel. Only pork here, no veal.
They were out of strudel and chocolate cake so we ended up having their Marlenka which apparently is purchased and shipped from Europe (and was certainly dry enough to have come via boat). Had this been home made, the rating would have been higher.
My daughter ordered schnitzel with farmers potato and cucumber salad. Was excellent. Reminded us for my mother cooking. My fried cheese with potato was great, except the tartar sauce was a little bit brine to me. Chocolate cake and rum ball was also very very good.
Good value home cooking at an affordable price, and generous portions. The Pea soup was delicious.
Food was absolutely delicious!!! Well be back!!!
Food was excellent.reminded me of German restaurants in New York city’s Germantown.
The menu had limited choices. The food was O.K. but not exceptional enough to come back again. Will look for others.
Good: roast pork with bread dumplings, sauerkraut soup
Not so great: potato pancake -- more like a big crepe -- was cold when served
Three of the guests ordered Bratwurst. You were out of it. Very disappointed
The food was excellent and the price was right. We'be back!
We tried This restaurant and thought the food was very good. They could improve the ambiance a bit with softer lighting.
Our waiter Roman was great, informative & a nice young man.
Visiting friends in Naples, wanted something different, and we found it. A little hard to find with GPS,
but well worth the trouble. All our meals were wonderful. The service was on the slow side, but I think the meal were prepared from scratch. It was really a taste of eastern europe. Our Naples friends said they will eat here often in the future, and we will insist on it when we visit again. It was a true find away from all the trendy, over priced places in Naples that we have gone to in the past. Great food, reasonably priced and in a inviting venue. What more can you ask!!??
Family celebration. Great for larger groups. Food always fresh and delicious. Love the goulash.
Only negative is they ran out of Pilsner beer.
Food excellent. Only one server who was kept running
Need more German beer choices and some apps to share
That being said we enjoyed dinner at the Alpine and will be back
Delicious food and helpful staff! I highly recommend you give this place a try!
Excellent food! Just returned from Prague and can say the food was as good as anything we had there Service was adequate. Nothing fancy about the restaurants’s setting, but the food made up for the other shortcomings. There is only beer and wine served.
There were more customers there than usual and only one server. The kitchen was quite slow —- took 45 minutes to get our food. But it was very good when it finally arrived.
I had an enjoyable dinner while travelling. The Schnitzel was great, as well as, the goulash soup.
We enjoyed the restaurant though it had changed since we had last been there. When we arrived (at 5:00) the waitress staff had not arrived and there was no greeter. The ownership had changed and though the food was still good, portion sized had been reduced. We ordered the house salad, split pea soup, and weiner schnitzel , and plum tart, and coffee.
We have been to the Alpine several times. We were generally disappointed this time. The schitzel was my very good. The breading was several times thicker than the pork and where the pork was thicker, it was tough.
The spaetzel was fine. Both desserts were good, too.
We are seasonal visitors to Naples. We were disappointed that preparation of some of our long time favourites from past years have changed. Traditional European foods like farmer potatoes and schnitzel that used to be pan or oven friend are now deep fried. The flavour just isn’t the same. Although overall quality remained good, they’ve lost that taste of Europe we enjoyed so much.
Service was extremely slow and we had a reservation and yet the waitress took orders from people that came in after us...
some food came out cold. spaetzle. rolls or some thing while you wait 45minutes. very rushed. not very attentive to clients.
I enjoyed the food and would go back again and try something different to eat.
Good Bohemian style food. The schnitzel portion was large, with crisp breading and the red cabbage not overly sweet. We'll be going again.
We enjoyed our meal. We went on a weeknight: the restaurant was quiet and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was cooked to order, so it took about 1/2 hour before it arrived at our table. The restaurant specializes in Czech/Hungarian "home cooking," and we would give it a higher rating if the menu were a little more imaginative. How about some daily "specials," or something more exotic than beef goulash or chicken paprikesh? It looks like the menu hasn't changed in quite a while. And how about a more extensive wine/beer list? Still, we are glad we chose Alpine, and recommend it for a moderately priced, simple meal. Oh, and the desserts are excellent.
Real, authentic pork schnitzel. I can't find it this good anywhere else:))
Nothing special, No real ambiance. Snitzel was fair.
