I visited Alpenglow Stube for my birthday dinner and had 1 of the best dinning experiences of my life! The aproach to the restaurant includes 2 gondola rides through snowy alpine wilderness and on arrival the restaurant glows like its name. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. I highly recomend this place for a special dinner or a unique dinning experience!

My husband and I took our 3 daughters (10, 10 & 12) for a 5:30 dinner. Every bite was better than the last and the service was top-notch. The bill was steep, but so was the entire trip to Keystone, and this is not your everyday restaurant - it's a once a year kind of meal for us. Everyone loved the slippers and blankets.

The ride back on the two gondolas was less than exciting for our girls who were freezing and terrified with the wind in the dark, maybe something to consider if anyone in your party is afraid of riding the gondola at night.

Will definitely be back when we visit Keystone again. Service was just as outstanding as the food. Many thanks from New Orleans, LA!

This is an exotic experience, to take two Gondolas to the top of a mountain and find a first-class restaurant. The three guys are skiers, but our wives have never had the mountaintop experience. We were treated like Royalty and our waiter, tall and fifty and a skier, made terrific conversation and was very attentive. I left a large tip in appreciation of his excellent service. I would return again for some special occasion.

Love this place! Great mountain atmosphere with fabulous cocktails. It’s expensive, but relative to the cost of everything on the mountain...

We've done "mountaintop dining" at many ski resorts around North America. This was by far our favorite! This was a fine dining experience that just happened to be located at 11,444 ft above sea level. Without the location, it would still have been an amazing meal. I did the Chef's Tasting menu, and my husband ordered a la carte. We were both delighted with our selections. The food was beyond compare, and the service was attentive and personable. And, of course, the location (and the two gondola rides it took to get there!) was breathtaking. Next time you're in Summit County, CO - - plan an evening at Alpenglow Stube. You won't be disappointed!

We were quite pleased with our dinner here. We did the tasting menu, and for $115 per person we were able to eat fantastically tasty food, and much more of it than you would traditionally receive at a tasting. Apparently the menu changes weekly based on what’s available, which was neat to hear. Service was phenomenal, and we would definitely go back.

Had been meaning to try this place - has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, great place to take someone in your party who isn't skiing and hasn't had an opportunity to take in the views. We went for lunch so as to be able to see the views. Service was excellent, staff is very attentive. Food was good to excellent, I had the gourmet grilled cheese and it was fabulous. My husband had the bison chili and it was also excellent. He also had the lamb gyro and it was just good. It's pricey, but then again, you're on the top of a mountain, so what do you expect?

Incredible dinner with even better service. I had only been here once years ago as a kid and I left an impression. My girlfriend and I had an amazing dinner and experience. James was our server and he did an incredible job for us, even when he had to explain several things a few times to us. It was a great time, James even educated us on desert wine! He had vast information on all kinds of different wines! I highly recommend. We will be back once a year, a new tradition!

Great Brunch! Very fun with friends who had never been there before. The parking was a problem due to new snowfall. The directions for the Gondola ride were very unclear and confusing. I was told to wait in the tubing line?!

This excellent restaurant known for being the highest elevation in the lower 48 states located at the top of Keystone Mountain Range. It takes not one, but two gondola rides and is well worth it! Needless to say, the winter scenic view is breathtaking along with the fine dining experience.
Highly recommend this outstanding experience!

The view is the ONLY reason to go there, specially in bright sunny winter days.

The service was REALLY slow. The food was fair, but not good enough for its value.

I wouldn't go up all the gondola way again to have a meal there.

Fantastic meal and evening! I had the chef’s tasting as well as the wine pairing. The wine pairing was amazing and the sommelier was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. The entire staff was wonderful. My wife chose from the regular menu and it was also fantastic. Overall we would highly recommend the Alpenglow Stube!

Top notch! The menu changes frequently.
I was hoping for a nice steak & the steak offered wasn’t my preference (filet)- my only disappointment.
Gondola ride (w/blankets), coat check, slippers!

Dined as a family of 4 whilst whilst staying in Keystone and had a wonderful night. Kids are aged 3 and 6 so went with the first booking at 530. Expected to be the only ones in the restaurant at that time but plenty of tables occupied and then continued to fill as the night went on.

Even though we've been riding the gondola all week, both kids and parents enjoyed the novelty of doing it in the evening and with the warm blankets. Caught a great sunset on the way up too which was nice. Views from up high at Keystone are magnificent - a nice surprise on our first visit.

The atmosphere fit my image of western US mountain ranch, but in an upscale way - white tablecloths etc. There is a cosy little side bar where we waited to be seated. Tables are large and very spaced out - huge room. Great open kitchen which kids were interested to see at work between courses.

Staff were great with well behaved kids (phew). There was a 3 course kids menu that went down very well - fruit bowl to start, steak and salmon for mains and then ice-cream sundae. Kids also received the amuse bouche and intermezzo courses which were enjoyed. We were unsure about taking the kids to this one but were very glad we did - we always felt that the kids were welcome and it was a special meal to enjoy with them.

Parents also went a la carte (the 7 course menu would be a bit long for the kids) and very much enjoyed the meal - the lobster bisque, NY strip wagyu and espresso cheesecake being memorable highlights (with 6 year old also taking fair share of each of those!)

Fortunate have the advice of a brilliant sommelier who guided us to some interesting American options based on our familiarity with other wine regions.

Price was commensurate with expectations - not cheap, but fair value.

Overall, it was a great experience we'd strongly recommend to other visitors in Keystone who enjoy fine dining.
