Alo recupera el concepto de hospitalidad. Los comensales se sentirán como en casa mientras disfrutan de una gastronomía francesa cuidadosamente preparada con técnicas clásicas y servida en un menú degustación de 5 tiempos en el salón comedor. Para acompañar el menú y mejorar la experiencia, se sirven vinos elaborados por los mejores enólogos, aquellos que se toman su arte con la misma seriedad con la que este restaurante se toma su servicio y su comida. El bar del Alo ofrece platillos pequeños para compartir, lo que permite a los comensales disfrutar de un simple aperitivo o también de una cena exquisita inspirada en el menú que se sirve en el salón comedor principal. También hay una carta de cócteles con una selección clásica, elegante y muy francesa. El personal del Alo está deseando darle la bienvenida.

This was the best dining experience of my life. I took my daughter as her 19th birthday present and we sat at the chef’s table. Watching the chefs work was mesmerizing. The attention to detail and skill is incredible. The food was so unique and delicious. The flavours and textures are perfectly balanced and overwhelm the palate in the best possible way. The service is second to none. You feel like the entire staff want you to have the best experience and they take the time to talk to you in a personal way. Special shout out to Markus, Sabrina and of course Christopher the sommelier never disappoints. Everything about the experience was perfect and completely exceeded my daughter’s expectations. It was a special night. Thank you to everyone at alo for a wonderful experience.

An amazing dining experience! Service and food was top notch! The wine pairings without a doubt is the way to go. The sommelier Chris Sealy took us on a wonderful journey into the world of wine. A memorable experience!

Phenomenal. If you’re on the fence between dining room and kitchen bar experience, pick the bar. The service did not miss a beat. Trust Christopher—you will not regret the wine pairing. Every bite + sip is a wow moment.

I was very disappointed with my overall experience at Alo. My expectations were very high, which didn't help. Nonetheless I found it to be overhyped and not worth the money. First I wanted to reserve a table for 4, but one of us had allergies, which they wouldn't accomodate, which I found special for a Michelin Star restaurant. But oh well.. we still made reservation but for only 2 because we really wanted to try. The decor is clean but nothing remarkable, seemed like any other chic restaurant. Overall ambiance was too 'strict' is the way I would describe. The food... was very good. But the wine pairing brought it down a notch. Unremarkable wines for every service, at 135$ per person made it feel like a ripoff. All the wines were described like light, to make the food shine. It meant no character wines, that for half the courses tasted nothing, and the other half made the food taste worse. If the price was lower I'd be probably less critical, but the overall value for the money isn't there, and I have been and will go again in restaurants at this price range, just not this one. Ever. Would not recommend, spend your money elsewhere, the food scene in Toronto is vast.
