Our story began in Beirut in 1996 by the Alexandrian family, third generation Armenians, who had a passion to share and serve their culinary delights. The restaurant has since been featured in NY Times, New York Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, LA Times and the Michelin Guide as a ‘must go’ destination for an Armenian-Lebanese dining experience.

Had a birthday party and service was excellent. Had a fantastic dinner and overall experience.
Have been to Almayass many times since they opened and it is consistently excellent, great food, ambiance, and servers. One of my favorites in New York City!
Great mixed meat plate, but pricey. The service and ambiance were perfect, but I couldn't hear anything from across the table as it was so loud.
It was fabulous!! Loved it
Delicious hummus, we love their shawarmas and lentil kaftas and more... Enjoying every minute each time we come. Just regretting the freezing cold in the bathrooms
Booked 7:30 reservation. Restaurant was supposed to be open until 10:30 (could even book a 10pm reservation). By 9:30pm they stopped serving drinks and began closing the restaurant, rushing us out. Had to go across the street to Cosme to get dessert and a drink at 9:30.
Food was good though.
, Food was fresh and very tasty. Love the hummus with pine nuts ,tabbouleh, tzatziki, and chicken
taouk with the wonderful garlic whip. Service was attentive . Portions are a nice size and a good value.
Great service and authentic Armenian cuisine.. definently we will come back.
Absolutely the best Armenian food anywhere on the East Coast! Authentic, fresh, well made, excellent ingredients, very well prepared. Excellent service. Full menu. Wonderful choices at bar. only thing is it is VERY expensive. For two people having a normal dinner, it was over $210.
I have been to Almayaas at least over 30 times and every time it is a unique experience. The food is always consistently superb. The staff is always friendly and professional. Without any exaggeration, I recommend every item on the menu.
Came here with a large party for dinner on Saturday. It was quiet starting out, but got louder as it got later. The service was attentive and had recommendations, which was great since it was our first time. A couple of our orders were messed up, but the server took responsibility and handled it gracefully. Overall, I'm pleased with the service. The food was amazing, we ordered 6 appetizers and hummus and shared them. We also split an entree and dessert between two and it was the perfect amount of food. It's a bit pricey for me, but I would definitely come back for special occasions!
Delicious food and great service.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world -- not merely in Manhattan. It has spectacular Armenian cuisine, beautiful ambiance, a great wine list and bar, and the nicest people on the planet seem to work there. I love bringing friends and business associates to Almayass and introducing them to the place. Also? It was where I wrote the opening to my novel, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT.
delicious food... unexpected menu, delightful ambiance... a real find in this neighborhood.
It was a group of 12 and it went very smoothly. Very happy with the food, th service and the overall experience. Highly recommend.
Highly recommended.. food and service are exceptional..
Delicious food and great staff...but don't forget your credit card. This place is Michelin star rated.
The space is beautiful, the food is great and the service impeccable!
Great food, want to try more on the menu. a little expensive.
Really amazing meal with great service. Thank you.
Almayass grabbed us as soon as we walked in the door. It's charming and artsy and rustic and totally inviting. Our server greeted us with a series of recommendations and we took most of them. It was a great choice - the food was uniformly delicious.
Overall I like the authentic food. I highly recommend this place for good Falafel and Hummus fans.
Almyass is always a great treat. I have been there several times, and the food and service is consistently outstanding. The food is very fresh, beautifully prepared, with both classic dishes and wide variety. The service is gracious and friendly without any touch of being overbearing. The ambience is very enjoyable and energetic without being overly loud and unpleasant. I highly recommend it.
Excellent food with fresh products.
Good and friendly service.
Was on Sunday evening. Quiet atmosphere, what a pleasure!
Excellent food BUT when the waiter keeps kicking my chair every time he is in the vicinity of our table... and the people at the table behind me keep knocking at my chair every time someone needs to get up... and I can not hear a word that is said by my friends because of the incredible noise level... what is the purpose of good food? This is no longer a place to visit on busy week-end nights. When I miss their excellent food, I will visit them during a weekday for lunch. A pity...
The food was phenomenal. Waitress (Jane) made the best recommendations and they were all delicious. Great service, great food. A must!
Almayass always delivers on the best place to go for an authentic dine dining Lebanese food. And our gonto place for special occasions. The wine, the food, the ambiance. Our favorite in NYC!
Absolutely delicious food! Loved the Armenian Manti, Armenian kufte with yogurt sauce, and Lebanese Chicken Taouk. In terms of wine, the Armenian Karas red is also excellent.
Always th best! It is one of my go-to spots!
Every appetizer and main phenomenal. Service outstanding. Loved it!
Great cozy place ! Hummus was awesome with the Lebanese lager
AlMayass has the best Lebanese / Armenian food in the city. The quality and taste is the most authentic outside of home...
Overpriced and poor service
Excellent service, great food -- healthy at reasonable prices. Beautiful space, like an oasis in Manhattan
Very good food and excellent service. Attentive but not intrusive. We had a lovely evening.
I took my girlfriend here for our one year anniversary and we both loved the ambience and the food was amazing. Really authentic Lebanese-Armenian food. The manager Mario was friendly and outgoing. Would definitely come back again.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. We will be back!!
Always a delight although a pricey one. Service is fine The host accommodating. Food is wonderful. The flavors strong and distinct. We never seem to get past thr Mezze. But who would want to.
Nice restaurant, good food, but not outstanding. Overpriced. We had the Armenian tasting menu and it was overpriced for what we had.
I love this restaurant. I would say it's the Best Armenian restaurant in NYC but it's the only one. However, it offers an authentic Armenian cuisine. I'm Armenian, so I know. Every time I've gone here, food, cocktails and red wine are always consistently amazing. The service is very pleasant. I have had my birthday here twice. The staff is great with large groups as well.
