Alma Nove Ratings and Reviews
Our first time here and not our last. Food, service and ambiance was amazing! We loved our waitress Brittany. She was so pleasant and answered all of our questions about menu choices.
Steaks were cooked to perfection and the lobster mashed potatoes is a must have!!!!
Wait and management staff were Wonderful — attentive, responsive and personable. Our table was pretty tiny and interestingly located in an odd corner (probably to accommodate a larger than usual Valentine’s Day overflow, though we had confirmed reservations.) It proved not to be an impediment to a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, however.
As always, Alma Nove did not disappoint. The staff is always friendly and they make great recommendations. They are accommodating in terms of getting creative with the menu so you can do a little tasting, and they make great suggestions once they know what you are looking for. No rush, nobody trying to push you out for another customer. Good atmosphere, low noise and a lovely view, even on a yucky day. One of my favorite places to meet up with pals.
Our server was wonderful! Friendly... very knowledgeable about both the food menu and beverage menu.. bar! Manager was great, she stopped by to ask how our dinner was!! Excellent customer service all around!! Not a bad dish or drink was had!! Can’t wait to go back!!
Food was cold! Asked for my steak medium well and it was not only not cooked through it was also cold. Other members of my dinner party couldn’t finish their meal complaining that the food was cold and other issues. It’s a beautiful restaurant in a great location, good service but the food....
A beautiful, friendly restaurant. The food was excellent, but my main course could have had less sauce. The lemon dessert cake was good but a little dry. The lamb meatballs are excellent! And the stuffed pork chop was a big hit. Love the fact that the outdoor torches are on. It adds to the wonderful ambience. Will definitely return!
It was a lovely evening for a midweek date. The hostess was sharp and welcoming. She made my date, who arrived later, feel welcome. Other than the waitress seemed a little too eager to get my date's drink order in the beginning, the rest of the evening was fine and relaxing. We were the last couple to leave the place. It was a lovely evening!
Although we reserved early on New Year's Eve (6:30PM), we had to remind the staff that we were waiting for our table when the restaurant was far from full. Also, it took a while for service to arrive even with water, our antipasti took so long we had to ask for it, and long after we were finished with that, we had to ask when our main course would arrive. In the end, we did not order dessert because it meant we would have had to sit there for another long wait before it came. The whole evening meal took almost three hours and the restaurant never filled completely while we were there. The plus was that my hearing impaired husband and I could carry on a conversation, which is unusual in most restaurants today.
My husband and I had made a reservation for an early dinner on New Years Eve. A few days before going I called to see if it would be possible to add another couple to our reservation. They were so gracious in accommodating us on such a busy night. The meal was fabulous, the ambience is lovely, easy to talk and the view is lovely. It was a very cold night but it was so comfortable and cozy even though the restaurant is all glass on the sides facing the water. There is a large outdoor lit fire pit which adds to the charm of the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a special meal in a lovely atmosphere.
They were very accomodating to our group of seven who arrived 40 mins late.
Food was amazing, waiters were elusive and returned to check on things very late in the meal.
Gina, the manager, fabulous!
We thought our bill was going to be quite a bit higher, excellent value.
Can’t wait to come back in the summer to sit on that beautiful patio and take in the view!
