Excellent as usual
Great overall, service a bit distracted.
Outdoor seating was great, with a heater close by just in case. It turned out to be a beautiful warm fall afternoon.
I was disappointed that I had to wait until my companion arrived before I was seated. (Don’t remember that in the past) and I did see late arrivals be seated with their earlier guest.
Service was ok but not great, waiter kept forgetting things. The food was disappointing. I had the bolognese, which just tasted like a broken up burger, certainly not simmered beef. My friend had the ravioli, which was missing the oyster mushrooms. The pasta was ok. We’ve eaten here many times before but this may be our last visit for a long while.
The patio is beautiful! Our waitress was very attentive and careful with my gluten sensitivity. The food was delicious including the best mussels I have ever had! My husband said his steak was one of the best he’s had in a while. He loved the oven dried tomato & carmelized onion topping. We would love to eat here again. It was a great choice for our anniversary dinner.
Service was excellent never felt rushed but somebody was always there to see if you needed anything at all. Food was exceptional by all members of my party would highly recommend it to anybody
Never disappointed - best restaurant on the South Shore!0
The food was delicious and the staff was gracious and professional. Our waiter, Frank, was especially accommodating. The seared beef mushroom barley risotto special was out of this world!
Sat outside in late October, kept warm with heat lamps. Beautifully decorated and great ambience. Waitress was spectacular, we had a larger party. Chef Paul was the kindest and most down to earth. As was all the staff starting at the host stand. Everyone loved their apps, entrees and dessert. Had been meaning to try this spot out and so glad we did, will return.
Birthday and very pleased the host was able to accommodate special request for seating
Am handicapped. Arrived 10 minutes early b4 guest for patio. Was not seated until he arrived. Would preferred to wait at table with some tea. 11:45. Difficult to find “light lunch”.
Brioche crab cake sandwich was soggy.
Arnold Palmers had paltry ice which
Floated listlessly (1) in its warm
Bath. Server tried hard but listing specials was Long and confusing. Less would been better. Perfect weather for lovely Patio setting.
Would recommend but with many suggestions.
The menu choices were interesting and the names of the desserts and drinks were imaginative.
Always enjoy to take my guests from Puerto Rico who visit me often
Food and service was amazing! My husband had the special of the night which was ravioli, I had a potato crusted cod. We also shared a side of truffle Mac n cheese and lobster mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and we are so glad that we were able to make reservations! Can’t wait to come back!!
Outstanding quality and service! The food was superb .
Love this place. Music and lively crowd made it fun. Our server, Maureen, was kind and gracious.
Table was split on potato crusted cod and short rib beef stew , both were amazing! And the popover that comes with the beef stew is to die for 🤩
Lovely food and evening. Our server was very nice
Great gluten free menu but I’m that annoying person that would like a few more dairy free options for the sides. Overall though, it was a really nice evening celebrating my girlfriend’s fortieth!! Will be back to dinner with hubby for sure!
Alma Nove never disappoints! It’s always clean, inviting, great service and great food.
Tonight I ordered the Carbonara oysters made with guanciale. They were served in the oyster shell atop a sea salt mound. Amazing presentation!
There was plenty of succulence that I drizzled over bread. Delicious!
The Orecchiette did not disappoint! It was prepared with Italian sausage with a hint of chili flake. Definitely worth the carb load!
Our entire experience was outstanding. We were seated on the outside patio and were lucky enough to see the marina in daylight, sunset, and after dark- simply gorgeous! Food, drinks, and service from Kerry were all A+. If you are an octopus lover, try it- cooked perfectly, the best I’ve ever had. The sausage and Broccoli rabe pasta with pistachios was to die for! I think this will become our favorite restaurant and we are already planning our return visit. Thanks so much for a fantastic evening and birthday celebration.
Delicious meal. The swordfish with paella risotto was outstanding. The cod was also exceptional. We ordered our cosmos our special way , and they were perfect. Our table overlooked the boats and a beautiful sunset. We will happily return soon.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating overlooking the marina. The background music okay, not too loud. The (lunch) menu was a bit more limited than we expected. Had hoped for some good old Italian pasta dishes like spaghetti and sausage, though the gnocchi was tasty. Would have liked to have seen a steak offered, other than with the rice bowl, which was not really a rice bowl. The staff did a couple of odd things, like squeezing between our table and the fence to open up the fire pit, which they didn't even light. There was lots of room if they went around. The server was pleasant. They have the location and the skill to make a delicious dish. Maybe just a tweak more of customer service would be nice. I would go back again on a nice day as the outside area is very nice.
Just a lovely night, start to finish. One of my favorite restaurants.
Alma Nove provides premium bottled water & bread w/excellent olive oil if you want it. Good choice of wine, beer or cocktails. Service is friendly & prompt w/ Paul Wahlburg serving when necessary. My lunch entree was wonderful. I had pan seared shrimp & scallops over butternut squash risotto. My dining companion had fish & chips, The fillets were small & thin & overcooked. It was brought to the servers attention.
Had a great dinner outside on the patio! We both had the Cod.
Beautiful restaurant, great location, beautiful views, waitstaff great , very professional , food always excellent, one of our favorite restaurants for sure
Beautiful place, great food, excellent service. We had a wonderful dinner for four and enjoyed it thoroughly.
The Cotuit oysters for starters were fresh and delicious, and we also enjoyed the roasted beet salad. For mains I had the short ribs which were absolutely fabulous, falling apart tender with a deeply flavored brown sugar and balsamic gravy, they totally lived up to my admittedly very high expectations for short ribs. The small downside was that they were served with a cold bland popover on the side and a tasteless creme fraiche that theoretically had horseradish in it but was also tasteless. The only other small note is that the bread served before dinner was cold and kind of chewy rather than warm and crusty.
Other very good main dishes in our party included the potato-crusted cod and the pumpkin ravioli with grilled shrimp. My husband had mussels as his main course, beautifully flavored with roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes, enjoyed them thoroughly. We shared the affogato for dessert which was excellent except I would have liked a little more fudge (who wouldn’t?)
Service was really excellent - when we arrived we asked if anything could be done to reduce the cold air blowing on us from the ceiling vents and our server Tony immediately adjusted the air conditioning for us. He was friendly, unobtrusive, and efficient throughout.
The place has a beautiful sleek but warm vibe, nicely lighted. There is also patio seating with a view of the marina.
Altogether a very nice experience, on the expensive side but well worth it. Would definitely recommend!
Simply outstanding. This is a favorite place of mine because it is always good. The food here is as good as any in town and the atmosphere is far better than most. Perhaps it just that the menu, the service, the atmosphere and the food here all appeal to me but I believe this is one of the best restaurants in the Boston area.
Calamari was excellent and food was great. Felt over dressed seeing other families. Didn't think this was a restaurant that allowed lower dress requirements. Overall the food was excellent and will be back again knowing the dress requirements are not an issue.
We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday. Food was great but root vegetables were undercooked and meatball starter was a tease. Otherwise, the experience was great!
I am not a red meat eater, but I would happily order the strip loin entree. SO, SO good!! Service was impeccable! The banana bread pudding and the oysters were also excellent.
This was even better than I hoped for!!! The new fall menu is awesome, and the service was top notch!! We will definitely be back next time we're in town!
The food is not good???!!???!?
Love the place, live right in shipyard, and am very sad!
Two of three in our party were pleased. One had the Mediterranean Salad with salmon which, for what was presented, was overpriced. The salad , which consisted of overdressed cucumber, tomato, and onion, had an unpleasant flavor. The piece of salmon was small and undercooked. The server should have asked to what degree it should have been cooked. Coffee was luke warm, and the creme brûlée had a rather unappetizing coat of black substance at the bottom of the ramekin.
The overall experience was great, the food was good but the value I thought was pretty poor. I ordered a salad and added some tenderloin and I got probably 2 ounces and it was $17 for the add-on. A flavor was good but the value wasn’t there. The overall experience was good we sat outside so the ambience was awesome with the wind. If I go back I will order a full meal and check the value of that but the out on the salad was a big disappointment
11 yr anniversary dinner. Duck was divine.
Food was not good. The only good thing was the bread and I was really looking forward to our evening. Shrimp was rubbery and salty. I must comment that Caesar salad was the only part of the meal that was descent.
