Great food and service.
We were not greeted by a server for at least 10 minutes and the restaurant was mostly empty at the time.
One entree came to the table lukewarm. We will not go back - very disappointing.
The whole experience was terrific. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. Service was friendly, attentive and helpful. Our server made helpful recommendations on menu items. Food was excellent. It was a bit dark, but not so bad that I couldn’t see or read the menu. We were seated on the top floor, so noise was not a problem, but i could see noise being a bit of an issue on the lower levels, especially the ground / bar level. Prices were high but worth it and expected at a restaurant of this quality in downtown Philly. I would return and would recommend.
Great food and service. The meal was amazing and so was our server. Definitely recommend the ceviche sampler with the rainbow and also the ribeye entree
Very good experience. Will return there to eat in future.
Great time. Great experience, will
Be back.
We had two servers and together they made one mediocre server. Drinks weak. Foods were amazing. Ambiance is always great.
Wife an I had a nice dinner after the flower show. Everything was delicious.
My wife and I love Alma de Cuba. The food is delicious, and they have some great cocktails. My favorite drink is the Roberto Burns. One of our top ten places to go in Philly.
Popped in last minute for a light dinner & had a selection of ‘small’ plates, the smoked Wahoo Tacos were an excellent punch of flavor & serving size.
This is still my favorite restaurant for food and ambiance. I introduced Ceviche to my friend and she loved it all. We had 5 different ones and all were good.
It’s very noisy place to have a dinner. Pork was overcooked and dry. Appetizer and desert was Ok. Service was great! Overpriced food vs quality.
Great night out. Sat in downstairs lounge area ( a bit more casual). Service was very good and so was the food. A little cramped but very comfortable. Will definetly go back!
This was our first time, and we were not disappointed. Service was very attentive. Food was delicious and portions are a good size for the price. Great drinks as well!
Great authentic food and a very nice atmosphere. Great drinks
Excellent food and service. I appreciated that the tables were spaced so that there was ample room between tables. The happy hour with $6 drinks was a plus.
Delicious sweet plantains. Recommend
Outstanding food and service. Can be a bit loud at times.
Great greetings at doorway and accompaniment to second level and seated in nice quiet table area. The waitstaff is the best in the city. Excellent description of specials and super service. Will be returning often to Alma de Cuba. Oh, wonderful flavors in meals.
We had a group of 8--folks from out of town/state on business. Happy Hours was fabulous--great drink and appetizer choices at a great price. Then we moved upstairs to a nice table. Everyone enjoyed their meals--something for everyone. So a great choice if you have folks who have a range of dietary preferences (e.g., we have a vegetarian, someone who wanted meat, light eater, hearty eaters).
Alma de Cuba is one of our "go to" restaurants when we are dining with someone special in our lives. I love the ceviche, the wonderful rolls and the smoked wahoo tacos.
I'm thrilled that Alma de Cuba has been open for almost 20 years!!
Excellent experience and even better food!
I have to say the service they provide always consistent ! The food taste better than many more expensive restaurants and bars . The light is dark , make me very comfortable
Quiet disappointing. Will not be going back.
Food was excellent and the space was fun. Our server was very good as well.
Wonderful service, food and ambiance
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. Will go back.
This was our first time here and it was very good. Staff was exceptionally helpful, but waiter was a bit too much of a salesperson for my taste. Extensive drink menu and a huge rum menu.
We shared empanadas as an appetizer. They were larger than we were told, two to three bites each. We did not need two orders.
I had the goat which was excellent. The others had the Ropa Vieja, also good, the Vaca Frita, and the Sugarcane tuna. Everything was tasty and hot. The pace of the meal was perfect. I wanted to try dessert, but was so full by the time we finished the entrees that we decided to skip it this time. Definitely worth another trip.
Real good restaurant. Food was amazing.
We had a great dinner! The ambiance is just wonderful and the setting really makes you feel like you are in a high end restaurant in a modern day Cuba.
Our service was attentive and nice, our food was delicious and we had a great table by the window upstairs.
Mojitos are the best!
Customer service was great ! And food was amazing ! A+
Great service and ambience but wasn’t impressed with the food at all. We ordered ceviche and octopus, which were just okay. Nothing spectacular about either one. Pork empanadas were next and the best thing we ate. For an entree, I got the seafood rice, which was the blandest Cuban rice dish I’ve ever had. Didn’t even eat half. If you enjoy Cuban food, this is not the place to go.
Amazing, thank you guys so much!
A lot of fun. Great food! Our server was awesome and he offered mocktails when noticed my wife was pregnant.
Didn’t get seated until 20 mins after our reservation time. The food was subpar and well overpriced for it’s quality.
Food, service and ambiance were great. Only thing that out did those, was our waiter Tom. Great time.
Fantastic food, and that's coming from a Cuban who grew up in Union City, NJ. The lechon asado was better than even my abuela's (but don't tell her I said that)! Kudos to the chef, can't wait to come back next time I'm in Philly.
Food and service were great. 200$ for two drinks one app and two entrees is very extreme. The “drink experience” for Valentine’s Day was more than my entree...very unnecessarily priced.. would not recommend to anyone, there are other Cuban restaurants in the city that are just as delicious food and service wise but reasonably priced.
Came here for the first time for an early Valentine's Day dinner, and it was phenomenal! Michael was our server, and he made great recommendations. We will definitely be back
Anniversary
Excellent service food and drinks! My favorite place.
