Went for the Sunday Gospel Brunch - good food and lovely entertainment from the Gospel choir - made it a memorable occasion. Recommended. Only one issue with the food - a beetroot and goats cheese salad with orange dressing arrived without the goats cheese. When we queried this it turned out they had not got any cheese prepared. Would have been better if they had informed us after we had ordered rather than just not say anything so we could have made an alternate choice. The restaurant did not charge for the dish so a good corrective action but would have prefered to have received what we ordered.

Not our first time in Alma de Cuba, always a very nice time. Pretty quiet on a tuesday evening, nice service and excellent food. We'll return!

Excellent meal in a beautiful restaurant ! Never been to a place with such ambience ! Service was impeccable and will be recommending to all :) shame we couldn't make New Year's Eve !

After a recommendation from our daughter who worked in Liverpool for 7 months we ate at this restaurant whilst staying in the City. The building is beautiful inside, full of atmosphere. The food is excellent, particularly the skewers and the presentation is second to none. The service was really good. We would urge visitors to Liverpool to give this a try. You will not be disappointed.

We have been to Alma De Cuba a few time sand this visit did not disappoint, we were celebrating my daughters 22nd birthday. Tha staff and food were really good. It's not th,em. Cheapest place to eat, but it's worth paying the extra, it deserves the good reputation it has. On previous visits we have enjoyed some excellent live music in the bar. I have recommended it to friends without hesitation.

Went to this restaurant as a birthday treat for my 80 year old Mum. First thing I noticed was how dark the bar area was, and cold. Upstairs was a bit brighter and pleasantly warmer. We ordered soup as starters and had 2 roast lamb and a roast beef for mains. The soup was nice if not a bit watery but the mains were lovely, especially the lamb which was the chefs special. Only criticism was waiting for the veg to arrive as only 1 waitress served us and the kitchen was on the other side of the restaurant. A trolley would have helped to bring it all out together. Small things that can be rectified to improve the service. Wine was beautiful and the gospel singing was a nice surprise. The girls serving and who met us on arrival were lovely. Would return again.

We dined here on a Friday evening. The service was attentive and excellent. We loved the ambience and although the place was busy we had our privacy and weren't disturbed in any way. The pre meal cocktails (English Martini) were superb. A very enjoyable evening and I'm confident we'll visit again.

On arrival early we went to the bar for a drink. There was a good selection of beers, wines and whiskey available in the very well appointed bar area on the ground floor under the restaurant. When ready we were met by a very welcoming lady who showed us to our table and we were quickly handed over to the waitress. The food and wine were excellent, and prices were reasonable overall. The staff were amongst the best I have seen in Liverpool, the ambience was good and we had a great night. The restaurant could improve in 2 areas: 1. On initially calling the restaurant direct to book a table we were told they were full for the night we wanted. However, we got a table for the same night via opentable without a problem. On arrival there were a number of free tables, so there is obviously an issue with the restaurants own booking system. 2. All the seats we used in the bar and restaurant needed re-upholstered. The seats on the 4 we used were all falling apart, and is not something you expect from somewhere with this style and attention to detail. These small issues aside, we had a fabulous night and would strongly recommend Alma de Cuba.
