   The service was excellent, our waitress was very nice and friendly, the problem is that we had a reservation at 8:30 pm and the first thing they tell us when we sit down is the kitchen and the bar closes at 9:00, you know what you want to drink? As I mentioned before, the service was excellent and our waitress was surely doing her job. My only recommendation is that if you close at 9:00 and at that time you want to have the rest empty, it is impossible for you to have reservations at 8:30 or 8:45 pm because when you go to a restaurant you want to enjoy time with your friends or family and only having 30 minutes to order your drinks, food and eating is impossible, for a 30-minute dinner you go to a fast food restaurant

   Despite arriving before the lunch crowd, it took us 20 min to receive our chips and salsa and 40 min to receive our entrees. The food was delicious, but the wait time is frustrating. The service was kind, but infrequent.

    Took my family here for Mother’s Day Brunch. Everything was excellent. Food was delicious and the cocktails were very tasty. Service was timely and not overbearing. Would definitely go back.

    I’ve eaten at Alma Cocina several times when in Atlanta and have had nice experiences. Unfortunately this time I felt like the menu had been condensed; it seemed very limited. My favorite offering, fried avocado tacos with chicken, was no longer available. The salsa trio was tasty but I found the guacamole too spicy. The fried cheese was a bowl of an unappetizing dip that was also quite spicy. Not at all what was expected. However the pork tacos were delicious. They were the high point of our meal and very plentiful. Our server was quite nice if not a bit hurried. Our wines and the margarita were perfect. Will I go back? Probably but only for the wonderful pork tacos.

    The guacamole app was fantastic, always is. Entrees were subpar at best. Had the cheese cake for dessert. The cheesecake was good the apple purée that came with it was not. This always was a great restaurant and great food before, once they re-opened it has been hit and miss

    My family and I came for Cinco de Mayo ! Our server was so sweet (from PR) and very down to earth made us feel special and secured in our decision and experience! She brought chips to my daughter which made her really happy ! I would definitely be back because of her !

    We had dinner for a Graduation and cinco de mayo celebration. The atmosphere is very nice, but the food was average at best. The shrimp tacos were bland and boring and overpriced. The tasting of guacamole and salsa was not very good and again overpriced. I will not return to this restaurant

    Great food but I was disappointed at the happy hour drink selection. I feel that a Mexican restaurant should have some type of margarita on the happy hour menu. And the fried avocado tacos should be in the dinner menu.

    The food is delicious and the staff are very nice 😊 I highly recommend this restaurant. We got the sampler salsa/guacamole which was great for the 5 of us and my husband and I shared the pork tacos since we filled up on chips. The pork was very flavorful and tender.

    We had the short rib empanadas and they were amazing as was the pork chops which I almost never order except that I saw another review that raved about them. The guacamole with fig jam was both different and delicious. Waiter was extremely attentive. Drinks were good and fairly priced.

    I was extremely impressed with the $17 fish taco. It was an impressive feat to create something completely lacking any favor despite consisting of numerous different ingredients. To be able to remove all identifying flavor from each of the ingredients and have the chutzpah to change $17 for a single greasy taco is remarkable.

    The food and ambiance is very good!! If you have dietary restrictions and do not eat red meat then the menu might be a little tricky to navigate. That was the only thing. Wish the restaurant had more meals for folks who do not eat meat. I ate mostly tapas. The octopus taco was delicious!

    Overall experience was ok. Guess I didn’t do due diligence on my part though. I wasn’t aware of the menu change and it being geared more towards a tapas style restaurant. The food we ordered was great, but some people in our party weren’t very excited for this style of dining. We probably would have preferred a more traditional style Mexican dining experience. Our server was great. She did an awesome job of guiding through the menu and made some great recommendations for food. I’d recommend going but realize this isn’t the regular Mexican joint.

    I wouldn’t go here again. Happy hour salsa and guacamole are same price as regular menu. The host/manager switch the tables on you, and the atmosphere is cuter in pictures. Would rather go to Taco Bell. Our server, Casey, was awesome!
