    Used to love this place, but while the price tag has grown considerably, the food has not kept up. Everything was just so-so and one of the dishes was just bad. Also be forewarned the kitchen closes at 10 on Saturday night! Reservations were available in the app as late as 11, so we never dreamed that sitting down for a 9:45 reservation after a soccer match would mean we only got to order one round of tapas before the kitchen closed. :/

    Pro: Restaurant space was beautiful. The ambiance was a little date night but I liked it. Service was great. The fried cheese cube was delicious. My friend said her Beef empanadas were good. Are Classico margaritas were very good! Con: $15 for one taco is ridiculous. It wasn’t the best taco ever either. Maybe if it was the most delicious taco BIG maybe. But I’m sorry to say I’ve had better and less expensive. Also, parking on a Sunday was the worst, especially if you haven’t been. So confused 😐 Overall: I’ll probably come again, for drinks definitely and maybe to eat. NOT the taco. Lol.

    Overall nice restaurant. The food was ok as it lacked flavor. The ambiance was nice. I sat in the "patio" and could enjoy watching the people coming in and out.

    Chi was a lovely server with lots of personality and good recommendations. The salsas and ceviches are great quality and the ambience is dark and romantic. We went back twice in one week!

    I always look forward to eating here every year during Labor Day weekend. They change up the menu each year so it's always fun to try new things. I appreciate that they always keep the Chihuahua cheese, because what would life be without fried cheese? I was in a party of 10 so I couldn't hear our servers name but she was the sweetest and super attentive.

    The tomatillo salsa with avocado is wonderful. The plantains are almost a meal in itself. Just be wary if you want to have an intimate conversation while you’re here- it gets really noisy. The pork chop and chcocflan are delicious.

    This was our first time at this restaurant, we came as a team for Dragon Con, there were 11 of us. Our reservation was made through Open Table. The food was amazing. We got a variety of Appetizers to share, we loved the Guacamole and Salsa tasting and the Fried Cheese was delicious. Our entrees were varied and we shared to taste the variety. Our server was fabulous! I highly recommend.

    Hadn’t been here in a while. Not sure if an off night or if the quality has just gone way downhill but this was decidedly not good. Even the guac seemed to have been made with bad or unripe avocados and was inedible. Our server was lovely, the subpar food was certainly not her fault. Will not return to this place.

    I was expecting an authentic Mexican atmosphere with authentic food. The food was not authentic in seasoning and they were playing 80s music or various genres. Nice place; just wasn’t what I was expecting. Clearly an American restaurant.

    Here for the National Black Nurses Association meeting in Atlanta, ate there twice. Service was beyond exceptional, food was phenomenal especially the melted cheese and salsa/guacamole sampler.

    This has been one of my favorite restaurants since they opened the first time. Lately the menu has gotten so limited. I'm not sure I'll be back. Not one vegetarian salad, huitlacoche( an ingredient that set them apart) is gone. Veg options are squash blossoms and brocollini- both very good but not destination worthy. I was told they've changed the menu three times in three months.... healthy authentic Mexican food is easy. Please return some menu items

    We had to be back in Atlanta for one night, so went right back to Alma Cocina! Khaelah waited on us again and provided stellar service. We had the guacamole and chips, which is exceptional. I'm vegetarian, so I had the grilled romaine and kale caesar and fried squash blossoms and my husband had the pork chop. Everything was delicious! My husband also had one of the infused ice cube drinks, which was superb! I ended with the goat cheese cake! A great meal!!!!

    This was our first time to Alma Cocina since way before the pandemic, since we don't live in ATL, we only get to check it out when we come for short visits. I am so happy to say that we had a great experience! (post pandemic, you never know) The tequila selection is still extensive. Even had a large selection of mezcal and anejo tequila, which we want for our cocktails. The food was delicious. Everything was flavorful, fresh, with great presentation. The octopus taco was our least favorite as the octopus was a bit over cooked. The host and wait team were on top of things and we got great service from Khaelah, our server! We can't wait to have a reason to return to ATL, so we can visit Alma Cocina again!!

    It was just my wife and I on the reservation. We started with water because, although the hotel was only 2.5 blocks away, the walk there was mostly uphill and we definitely felt it (so you may want to give yourself plenty time to walk at a leisurely pace or drive). We shared the blood orange margarita, then the braised pork meal, the empanadas, and the fried cheese. We finished with the hibiscus meringue. The cheese and the meringue were definitely prepared with a fresh take and we were happy to have gotten them both (esp the meringue). The food, though a bit pricey, was delicious. The waitress was attentive and friendly. We definitely recommend it.

    All of the wait staff here was awesome. Our waitress learned all of our names and was super great. She made sure we got anything we needed. She even shook our hands when we were leaving. The food was amazing

    I called prior to going to ensure there were gluten free items on the menu. I was assured that I could be accommodated. I arrived, and I was told that everything is pre-prepared and nothing could be modified for me. Apparently there is no chef in the back. I ate broccolini for dinner. I’ll not go back.

    We tried Alma Cocina on a whim. Looking for a good Mexican restaurant, and this seemed to fit the bill nicely. We ordered the flight of salsas and guacamoles. All very different, all very delicious. The young woman that brought to flight was knowledgeable and personable. We also ordered the Chihuahua cheese in salsa verde. Fantastic presentation. It came with three flour tortillas, but probably should have had additional tostada chips (even though you can order as many as you wish). We could have stopped there, but no. We shared the chicharrón street taco. Beware this is more like a carnitas taco. The meat was tender and flavorful, but the name signaled to me that the meat would be more crispy. Regardless, they were delicious! We ended with the Chocoflan! This put us over the edge! It was creamy and cakey and the brittle was delicious. I had two margaritas. The first was the blood orange. It was good, but not as good as the classic. Unfortunately, or server was a bit slow and seemed to either be new or overwhelmed or both. The server for the table next to us was excellent and even started up a conversation with us even though she wasn’t our server. All in all, GO TO ALMA COCINA! The food is great the decor is great. You won’t be disappointed.

    Food was really bad. Not even the guacamole and the salsa were good. We had the tuna tostada and the tuna what’s extremely over seasoned and very salty. The soft shell crabs were very mushy And greasy. Wine and cocktails were good and our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful
