Amazing view, service, and food.
Fabulous as always.
We came at 5:00pm and intended on ordering appetizers and drinks, which seemed reasonable enough for that time of day. The restaurant was about 20% full at that time. Once we mentioned that we wouldn't be ordering full meals, we were treated very poorly. We were told that we could have to pay a $7.00 fee for ordering appetizers without meals, which seemed unnecessary but I understand if that is their policy, they have to enforce it, and we didn't mind paying the surcharge. It was more the attitude towards us - the server couldn't wait to get rid of us. We really wanted to soak in the beautiful views, but were rushed out of there within 1 hour. He never asked us how we were enjoying our trip or our food, and barely made eye contact with us. The food was also a disappointment. For such a beautiful and expensive restaurant, I would truly expect much better service standards.
I booked dinner at Allreds for the birthday of my wife during our annual ski trip to Telluride. The restaurant is a wow - it is like entering the den of a Bond villain!
We were seated next to a window which would have provided a spectacular view had it not been dark. There was a louder than expected level of noise in the dining room.
Food was excellent - the elk entree was sublime! Service was attentive but not overly intrusive. The sommelier, Katie was a fantastic resource in navigating the extensive wine list and also in discussing the finer points of keeping and serving wine at 10000ft! There was a small hiccup when we ordered desert but this was quickly rectified.
Overall, a fantastic experience, good value and one that I would repeat.
The Chilean Sea Bass was cooked to perfection. I normally do not like it when they over cook it but it was magnificent!
Everything was amazing, from the time we walked in to the last bite of the toffee pudding! I can’t give this place enough stars. Beautiful views from the large windows all around, attentive wait staff and a menu that will not disappoint. The Elk was especially delicious!
Always busy but festive...this is where we like to spend our final evening in Telluride each year. Beautiful views, attentive service, and our dinners were delicious. It's a special place.
Mario and his entire team are simply the best! No trip to Telluride is truly complete without a meal at Allred’s, where the food and service are matched by the views...
Love Allred’s, we go every time we are in town! Love Mario ❤️
I was at Allred’s for my birthday and everything was amazing. The food and wine were phenomenal. Unfortunately someone in my group had some pretty bad altitude sickness so we had to leave abruptly. The staff packaged everything up promptly and even put a birthday candle in the dessert container. Great food and service. Can’t recommend enough
Great. Great food and service
Spectacular views, fine dining, great service.
Our entire family of 5 adults thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our time at Allred’s. The food and service exceeded our expectations, and the ambience proved extraordinarily pleasant. We all highly recommend.
Fabulous food ! Great ambiance ! Wonderful service. Best place to go when visiting Telluride :)
Excellent restaurant with fabulous service all with a smile, magnificent food, wine list and awesome atmosphere with beautiful views! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
We went to Allred’s to cap off an excellent week of skiing. Allred’s definitely has the location. The views are spectacular, especially during sunset. Many restaurants that have the perfect location simply rely by on the location only and offer a marginal meal. Allred’s doesn’t. They deliver an outstanding meal along with a spectacular views. The waitstaff is super attentive and very friendly.
I had the Elk loin which may have been the best elk meal I have ever had. My wife had the veal which was perfectly prepared. Our friends has the lamb chops and the Sea Bass. Both loved the meal.
If you’re in Telluride you need to eat at Allred‘s. You won’t be disappointed.
The food was outstanding and the wait staff was very attentive. Great experience
Great view, great food albeit pricey. Service was excellent and they were accommodations towards gluten free. It would be nice if restaurants would offer gluten free breads. Allred’s offered Udis GF bread but if you have ever tasted it, you’d also refuse, it’s dry as paper and tasteless.
This was the best restaurant in Telluride and we dined in all the good ones.
It is busy so reservations are a must.
Incredible view(arrive before dark if possible) to go along with first class service and food. A table by a window makes it special. Last visit was 4 years ago and the experience remains special.
Fantastic ambiance, food very good (particlarly the veal scallopini )but our service was lacking for such an upscale night. Tookforever to get the wine list and order wine. Then the appetizer had hardly arrived and then the meals came - poor pacing. Then bread came. Definitely backwards. Others we know had better experiences so hopefully it was a fluke.
Atmosphere and views are incredible!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Great food and service. The view is the best!
Spectacular views! Recommend the bison ribeye in particular and the service was attentive and prompt.
The views are the highlight of the dining experience and worth a visit to see. Our reservations were made 3 weeks in advance for 6 pm and we were not happy with our table which was all the way in the back next to an area where staff were constantly going into to get silverware, etc. (noisy and annoying). The service was rushed as were the other tables in our vicinity and everyone was leaving pretty much at the same time as though the reservations were for “seating time blocks” only. My veal scallopine was ok but a little less arugula and more veal would have been nice. My husbands Chilean Bass was drowning in sauce that overpowered the nice fish which was a shame since it’s a treat to find Chilean bass on a menu. The server was very nice but rushed and we felt pressured to order, eat and leave. We’ve been to Allred’s numerous times but I will be hesitant in the future to go again. We live in Telluride part time and it’s a shame to see the loss of a true fine dining experience in this very unique setting.
this was the finest dinning experience of my life, the view is off the charts, the ambiance was spectacular, the service was 4 star. I may have had a better meal somewhere in my travels around the globe however I can not pinpoint a better overal experience.
After 22 years of living in the area, my wife and I tried the main room for the first time for our 43rd anniversary. Other than the high level of noise, (we arrived during the end of the family meal) the night was all we had hoped for. Having the best view table, window center, the impeccable service never lacked even though the room was packed. Once the snow cleared and the view of town was visable, our entrees arrived and were beautifully presented. Looks aside, the entree and sides were wonderful. I had the bison and my precautions were tossed as it was probably the most delicious meat I have tasted. Brava!
Really great spot for a nice evening out while in Telluride. The service, ambiance, views, wine and food were excellent. Mario (the manager) made the rounds checking in on every table to make sure we were having a great experience. I would highly recommend making a dinner reservation if you are going to be staying in the area. This is not a place to be missed.
Wine list was grossly overpriced. Even for a nice restaurant. Food was ok. Service personnel were great. Overall Disappointing
Without a doubt the best anywhere we have ever been in this world. Your host Mario is a perfectionist in all aspects of the restaurant business. Perfect location, view, ambience and setting. Food, wine and service are 5 Star Plus. From reception to floor staff, always superb in sincerity, smile, attitude and professionalism. Make sure you thank you staff. They are that good. Say hello to Mario, a true gentleman and master of customer service. So good we are there again this week for our 50th wedding anniversary. See you Mario.
An absolute must when in Telluride. A short gondola ride takes you to a beautifully decorated dining room with breathtaking views of the mountains. The service is excellent and the food to die for. Mario, the general manager, is from Italy and makes sure everything is absolutely exquisite. The meal ended with free ice-cream for the kids which was the cherry on top! Don't miss!
Had a wonderful dinner. The food and service was outstanding
The view and ambiance can only be topped by the fantastic food and service. Great variety and and excellent wine selections.
Absolutely amazing service, food, cocktails and view. A MUST visit when in Telluride. The staff are fantastic and would recommend to all I know visiting here.
Food great. Service great. View was Unbelievable!!! Would eat there again. Pricey though.
I have avoided Allred's in my previous trips to Telluride thinking that it would be a tourist trap. Allred's is on the top of the gondola between Mountain Village and Telluride. The view of Telluride is fabulous. But what surprised me was the food and level of service. My wife and I shared a caesar salad. My wife had the salmon and I had the elk. The caesar was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her salmon. But it was the elk that set the meal apart. Frankly it was remarkable. My only complaint was the wine list. It was rather pricey and you were realistically looking at $100 plus wines. Be sure to arrive early and enjoy the incredible view at the bar.
Wonderful food, view and atmosphere. We love Allred’s, it’s on our to do list every time we travel to Telluride.
Allred's was in fine form for our dinner last weekend. Mario is an excellent host, the food is great and the service is terrific. Looking forward to going again on our next visit to Telluride.
Beautiful setting. Food, service, wine were all perfect. Great way to finish a family ski vacation.
Great dinner, elaborate wine selection & great views!
Great view and ambience for fine dining.
