Perfect place to celebrate our son’s engagement. Food was fantastic, service was impeccable and the wine selection was wonderful. Thank you for making our special night unforgettable.
Food was excellent! The whole experience was amazing!
We hear that the views are spectacular, but we decided to go after dark. If you’re going to spend that kind of money, make sure you go early!
Allreds has done an excellent job preserving the experience, food, and service during COVID. The place was meticulously cleaned, the staff incredibly helpful, and the food even better than the time I was here 2 years ago. Kudos!
It was our wedding night and I reserved a table with a beautiful view by the window months before and when we arrived that did not happen. We were extremely disappointed.
Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Wonderful staff, clean environment, and delicious food. Our first fine dining since onset of COVID, and it was the perfect evening, while celebrating our anniversary with our two young daughters! Thank you !!
Fantastic meal - fabulous location/views! So glad we decided to dine here. Food was delicious and portions were good. Service was wonderful! We’ll be back!
The view and service was amazing. A little pricey but that was expected. Worth it for a special night out
Service wasn’t up to expectations.
We chose Allred’s to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The restaurant was nicely accommodating. Our waiter was personable and the sommelier was helpful. But we felt rushed. This was the most money we ever spent on one meal and we wanted to savor it. Didn’t feel like we could.
My halibut was ever so slightly overcooked but it was very tasty. The only major disappointment was that the dessert choices had no lactose free options, which on a pri-fixe menu isn’t very helpful.
The view is amazing and so overall, we enjoyed ourselves but would have preferred not feeling rushed.
The food, service, wine list, and atmosphere were fantastic! Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a night out!
Fantastic as always. Delicious food and great service and atmosphere!
It was excellent
Excellent staff. Excellent service. Amazing meal.
It was incredible! Every part was top notch!!
The COVID protocol was careful and complete but unobtrusive. We were seated promptly and received excellent service. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and felt the portions were just right. Allred’s has done a great job providing excellent food and service under difficult circumstances. We were impressed.
Simply AMAZING! We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Food and service were incredible. Amazing Mountain View’s! We can’t wait to come back!
The views and the service were excellent. Most of our appetizers, entrees, etc. were delicious and delightfully presented. Unfortunately, my entree -- the veal scallopini -- was not prepared well. It was soaking in oil and there was no lemon taste.
Additionally, we had issues with the ambiance. We were placed in the semi-private dining room at the end of the restaurant. Initially, this was fantastic as we were the only group there. However, about 15 minutes into our meal, another group was seated in that area that had a baby and a toddler in their party. The children were fairly well-behaved for their ages but, as expected, there were periodic tantrums and crying, etc., that the parents sometimes handled better than others. It was disruptive of our meal. I assume they were seated there in order to not disturb diners in the main dining area but then they ended up disturbing us. I'm not sure how the restaurant should handle that situation but that type of fine dining experience it is not an appropriate setting for children of those ages or a group with kids in that age range should be seated in a private area where they won't disturb others.
The pre fixe menu was perfect. Plenty of options. Wait staff was friendly and on top of everything.
Birthdays, new job, anniversary
Amazing place, views are spectacular and the service was top notch.
Decided to eat there for a birthday celebration during “covid” times as part of their pre fix menu. Food was deliciously except for the halibut, disappointed it was dry.
Beautiful views!! We had dinner right around sunset, it was stunning with the fall colors! Food was great as well, I really enjoyed the bison ribeye. Highly recommend if you’re in Telluride!
Amazing dinner, view and service. Everything was just perfect even with our current covid situation. We enjoyed the filet and colorado lamb! Highly recommend both! You must check in, get your temperature taken and immediate parties take the elevator where you are greater and seated safely. It is a preset 3 coarse menu for $65 pp. Also do not plan to go early for a drink, they open at 530.
I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my fantastic experience at Allred’s. To start, our reservation was at 8:45, and we took the gondola from the town of Telluride up to the restaurant. It was a very unique, romantic experience for my wife and I to ride the gondola up in the dark. Then the door to Allred’s awaits immediately when you step off the gondola. The reception staff was very warm and inviting and made sure to follow the proper protocols in regards to Covid. We then took the elevator up to the restaurant, and I was very pleased with the classy, romantic ambiance (I’m a very picky person when It comes to ambiance). We were seated in the bar area at a nice table facing a window overlooking the lights below. While waiting for the sommelier I walked over to the bar to chat with the bartender (his name escapes me, but he is an African American gentleman) and order a martini exactly as I like it. It is hard to express how delighted I was with his demeanor and ability to exhibit first class service and professionalism. He is truly exceptional at his craft. When I returned to the table the sommelier stopped by to share the wine list and her insights. The vast options on the wine list, and the som’s knowledge were unbelievable. I inquired about their cellar and her 100% involvement and was truly amazed by her knowledge of her craft. Our server continued the theme with his professionalism and knowledge of the menu. The set three course menu had many intriguing options to choose from, and I was pleased with the staff’s willingness to allow me to change things up and add an extra first course omitting the dessert for myself. I had the carpaccio, beet salad, and ribeye. They were delicious, and the ribeye was a perfect medium rare as I ordered. This was a truly exceptional dining experience, and I could not have been happier. I dined at several other restaurants while in Telluride including Cosmo, and none of them come close!
Allreds had to push our open table reservation due to COVID management at the restaurant and enabling social distancing. We arrived early, and they were able to accommodate us, which was great. It is best to go during daylight for the view!
The food was outstanding. I got the steak, and it was one of the best I've ever eaten. Our waitress was spectacular and so kind.
The food was fantastic and the view to go along with it was wonderful. However we couldn’t have been less impressed with service. We were rushed through our dinner and our waiter barely checked on us. I had to flag him down to get a glass of wine after I was halfway through my entree. And he never even asked about an after dinner drink. There seemed to be many managers walking around, but never asked how we were or assisted us with wine choices. We would have spent a lot more money there if the staff had actually cared about us. Just ride the gondola to the top and skip the meal because from 2 people with a fine dining background, we were just so disappointed. What a let down for a meal we were so looking forward to!
Fantastic view of Telluride, both in the sun and after dark. Gondola ride was fun and, of course, the food was spectacular. Their creme brulee was perfection.
Great meal in a terrific space. Definitely worth getting a window seat.
The pre set menu was nice and easy to navigate. The som we had was excellent and our bottle of wine was a highlight of our dinner. Views are great. Excellent for a special date night spot.
Our favorite in Telluride! The views are amazing and the service is exceptional.
Anniversary. Food was outstanding, & service was the best we have experienced in a long time. Thank you for making our special day even better !
Katie is amazing with her wine recommendations!
We were not informed until we arrived that there was a prix fixe menu in place for the evening. In addition, they charged extra for items off of the menu. We were rushed to order our food because they wanted to close the kitchen. (Maybe they shouldn’t take reservations past 7 pm).
The person who greeted us at the door (with her dog) was extremely rude, sent us to the wrong area to get to the restaurant and couldn’t even manage a smile.
On the bright side, they sommelier and servers were wonderful.
Great night, thx!
so delicious! and the views are completely unrivaled! GO!
Date night with my wife. First trip to Telluride as part of our “discover southern CO” trip. BEST meal so far, even with the reduced menu. Can’t wait to come back and get the whole experience. We will definitely be back!
This was the perfect night out! Food, staff and view could not have been better. Highly recommend.
