Allred’s is amazing, there’s no question about it. My only gripe was that apparently since we booked thru Open Table they’re allowed to bump our res to someone that calls. Had I known this I would’ve just called...I booked three months out since it’s a tradition for us to eat there the last night. They bumped us to 5pm, which rushed us on the slopes to get in to be ready for dinner. Other than that the meal was great as always.
We went for an anniversary dinner and it was almost a great dinner but.... We showed up for our reservation and was seated next to the windows with a great view as the sun set. With this we thought we were in for a great treat but that was not the case. First our server Tom had no enthusiasm to his job and you could tell he did not want to be there. His wine knowledge was ok but you could tell he just wanted to get you to go with the more expensive options. Unlike the other (older) tables around us the sommelier never came over and visited to help with picking out wine for the occasion. The Bison Tartar was a great start to the meal. For our main courses the wife had the cider brine pork chop which she said was good and I had the lamb chops which were good but the parsnip puree was cold. To end the evening I was excited to see the dessert menu but he came to the table and offered us the option of "buying" us a Crème brûlée or chocolate cake for our anniversary. There was no option given nor time to ask since he just walked off. I figured since I had a soft drink it was an auto refill but it was never refilled through the night. At the end he brought us our check by tossing it on the table and saying thanks before walking away imminently. The water refill guy had more personality then our server. I understand young people are treated differently at nice restaurants but that shouldn't be the case. If the food was marginal or the view was sub par than this would of been a 2 or 3 star review.
Awesome restaurant. Awesome experience. When in Telluride you have to go there. It is bucket list.
Amazing food! The lamb and wine selection was outstanding!
Outstanding service, great food, fantastic, albeit pricey wine list-we will return!!
always a special place for us during our ski trip to Telluride thanks
Nice place but we missed the beautiful view by eating too late. Staff was great but seemed to be rushing everyone to order. Bison Tar Tar was delicious. The Elk I enjoyed but some might not like the slight gaminess. Veal Scaloppini was yummy too. Drinks were ok and desert was average. Next time we’ll go for the view.
I made a few special requests, they went above and beyond. Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic service, amazing views! Must stop if you’re in Telluride
Wonderful food, great service, and great value for a fine dining restaurant.
The service was excellent, as was the view. The main course was perfect, and the wine suggestion went well. The only minor complaint was that dessert (a fruit cobbler) was much more fruit than cobbler, I was looking for more than a fruit bowl with crust. It still tasted good, but didn't live up to it's description.
Just as amazing as it was before. The views, the food, the service - everything is top-notch!!!
For an upscale restaurant with up priced food and beverages, the service was mediocre and several of the meals came out cold. The waiter definitely wanted us on his schedule for ordering. The sommelier was excellent and did a great job of explaining the wines and helping with selection. We had to request a check at the end of the meal and that proved to be difficult. After three requests we finally got the check from an obviously irritated waiter. Then we had to get our coats from the coat check which took over 20 minutes from a coat check that was in disarray.
In fairness, the meats were well prepared and had an excellent taste. The wine that was recommended was great. Overall though a very mediocre experience.
Jeff and Tom and Sadie took excellent care of is...very attentative. Wine and beer good. Caesar and beer salads filling and excellent. Elk and waygu also excellent. Creme brulee rich. Will return when in area.
Great view, great food and wonderful service. The sommelier's advice and guidance on the wine selection was spot on. One of our wines was Col Solare and she gave us great information on the back ground of this wonderful wine from Washington State.
Top dining experience in Telluride - the view from midway up the mountain was breathtaking, the food and presentation definitely five star, and the wait staff friendly and efficient. Definitely coming back. Make sure you make reservations in advance!
Fabulous!! The views are the most amazing part... although the food is great too!
Great dinner and atmosphere
Allred’s was amazing. We hosted a farewell dinner for a group we brought to Telluride. Frederica went out of her way to put a special menu together and Katie assisted us with our wine choices. The ambience is extraordinary and we felt like queens!
We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Allred's. Everything was fantastic--service, food, and an amazing table with a view of Telluride. Looking forward to the next opportunity to dine there again.
Great spot with wonderful views, good food, and very pleasant staff...
Allred's is always the first place we think of when bringing guest from out of town. We are always guaranteed the best meal with anything on the menu. Our favorite this last outing was the pork chop and the buffalo rib eye.
Outstanding ! The view is fabulous. Food was outstanding! Service was great!!!!!!!
The General manager is amazing. Thank you!
The views at night were wonderful including the eclipse!! The food was superb. Really!!
What a delicious experience! Thanks to Mario and Casey and Cat for making our dinner so fantastic!
Blew away any of our other dining experiences in Telluride. Mario and his staff are superior!
We have been coming here for 13 years, and it is still our overwhelming favorite.
It was great as usual.
Great ambiance! Service was good. Server was knowledgeable about food prep. Great wine list but with altitude sicknesses we did not drink. Music was great addition.
The location is breathtaking, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had a bison ribeye because... well, when in Colorado, and it was absolutely delicious. I would have gone back just for the peppadew peppers appetizer! I will definitely be back!
Outstanding views of the Town of Telluride from the ridge. Great wine list and creative cuisine. Romantic.
Love love love this place! It is hard to be a gondola ride up the mountain in the dark, travel through a stone tunnel and have dinner fireside. Spectacular wine list and incredible service the only thing that topped the foregoing was the food. Save this for your last meal when visiting telluride, nothing else compares
Amazing view!!!!! Very pricy, but worth the sunset view!
Great location and ambiance. Perfect ski town dining. Meat dishes less quality than expected.
Perfect in every way.
It was very enjoyable, food and view was wonderful .
Getting there by the gondola just adds more charm to the experience...
Went for dinner while staying at Telluride. Food was far below the ratings I had read. Veal tastes like it was fried and very salty. On top an saturated arugula salad. I think the views would be great but it was dark. Bread and desert which was ice cream good
Fabulous all around.
