It was a very pleasant experience.
The luxuriousnous of the space was appreciated.
My husband has difficulty with noisy spaces. Therefore the upholstery and carpeting, which absorb sound, was welcomed.

Service was lackluster - started with an almost 10 minute wait for the hostess to arrive to check us in for our reservation. Once our order was taken, appetizer was forgotten and time between ordering and getting served was long. Bus boy was good and attentive. Waitress was trying but seem to be foiled by the kitchen and others. Food was so-so and presented on a cramped plate or in a pan. A plate would have served us better. Nice atmosphere and quiet but pricey for the quality of food and service - $22 for an appetizer (lunch). Most likely would not choose to frequent again.

It is a pleasure to write a review for such a wonderful restaurant. It's hard to find good customer service nowadays, but when you receive impeccable service from every employee encountered and a array of fresh food for every pallet that's when you know this is what it is all about. We applaud Allium for taking such good care of us. As a vegan it is challenging at times to find restaurants who are vegan-friendly and what really touched me is when our waitress Mariana told me she too is vegan. How wonderful! Mariana was beyond good, her service was detailed, professional, relatable, a level of perfection. Allium's personal touch, delicious food, and ambiance has us hooked for life. We shared our unforgettable experience with our friends and family. They are now anticipating the great Allium experience. Thank you Allium and Mariana for everything. Blessings! (Lilia's Quinoa Muesli and banana pancakes sooo deliciously divine)

Dined at Allium during restaurant week. Ordered from the pre-fixed menu. Each course was worse than the preceding one. Barrata was ok. Prawns were scarce. Sea bass was flavorless. I never submit reviews to anything but a restaurant like this, in a Four Seasons, fell woefully short. I travel to Chicago frequently and this is the worst dining I have experienced in your great city. Service was pleasant and timely.

It could have just been the night that we were there but it was like walking into a quiet oasis from a very noisy day. The acoustics of this place are nice and low. It was the perfect chill spot. The food was excellent, but the service by Katherine was unbelievable.

I rarely encounter her level of professionalism when dining out. She made everything appear effortless and seamless. I hope she makes a ton of money, because she made the meal a flawless experience.

As one would expect from Four Seasons, lovey meal for restaurant week. Made the price point a little more reasonable. Service was fantastic, food and wine delicious. Only negative was the dessert, a little disappointing.

We ordered from the prix fixe menu for Restaurant Week. The food was perfectly prepared and the pairing of the courses was great. Located in the Four Seasons hotel on the 7th floor, beautifully decorated with modern artwork.

Impeccable restaurant at the four seasons. While everything was top of the line and it was expected to pay $40-50 per entree, I was surprised at the cost of the drinks.- five of us, beverages at $15-20 with a $150 bar tab. Lesson would be to each have a drink or perhaps split a bottle of wine. Other that that, I have no complaints

Sarah our waitress was just great; very personable and efficient. I had the shrimp and chorizo with heirloom tomatoes and he had the steak. Both meals were superb. I’ve been here once before and the meals never disappoint. Drinks were never empty and food came efficiently. Cocktails are definitely full pours. Very clean restaurant and we are already thinking of coming again in the spring.

not many places are very expensive but worth every penny, Allium is. Drinks and appetizer at the fireplace, then dinner in the very cozy bar all handled by a delightful and engaging person, Juliette. Drinks were expensive but so well done. Wife and I had two different scallop preparations each good enough to fight over. Time and dollars well spent.

First of all, I thought the lighting was a little dull. Was just missing some glow. Also I thought the menu didn't have enough choices. I chose something simple. The tenderloin for 42. It was small and came out room temp and for chicago competition shouldn't have a chunk of fat to have to cut off . I know it was sitting a while. I spent 250 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Just wasn't worth the 250 for food quality and portions and experience. Small changes could have made me happy. Hot steak and a little less pricey would have changed all.

This was my second visit to Allium and it didn't disappoint. Sunday was the brunch menu which was varied in choices so there was something for everyone. I also enjoyed the lunch menu where again the selections were varied and appealed to many different palettes.....guests ages 14 to 70. Just delicious and relaxing!

The Four Seasons always delivers. That being said, there are opportunities to refine - - the crispy fish tacos were a major disappointment. I haven't seen something so heavily battered in years. Our waiter was good, but not great when it came to checking in (refilling drinks, getting the check, etc.). Overall, a great experience - - simply not 'perfect' relative to the price-point.

Still lovely and festive for our annual Christmas lunch with my sister and Mom - even though we are Gold Coasters! Cozy by the fireplace for a leisurely lunch seated in deep upholstered chairs. Fabulous and timeless!

We visited for a family "Christmas" Brunch, with kids. We were seated late (had a reservation). The restaurant was quite crowded and not well staff. Our waiter was very nice but clearly overworked and totally non-attentive. The food was cold (wasn't suppose to be). Had to ask a couple of times simply just for water. The buffet line looked awful, cold eggs that had sat there for a while. The menu was nothing extensive or special. The Four Seasons is definitely not what it used to be.

Very nice place and great view ! Our server was always lost and no where to be found. Potatoes with caviar are amaaaaaazing ! Our tomahawk was over cooked.

On my last 2 visits, I found the service to be highly variable depending on the busyness of the restaurant. The food is usually quite good. The ambiance is lovely.
Allium needs to strive for Consistency in all areas of the dining experience!

The Allium is our new favorite place to eat in Chicago! We visit Chicago to relax four times a year. This time we were in Chicago 6 nights. We ate at Joe's Seafood & Steak, Gibson's Rosebud and the Signature Room. The Allium was above the rest for it's creative food and fresh healthy ingredients. Just no comparison to the others. We ended up eating at The Allium three times this past week. Our compliments to the chefs, waiters and servers.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. We were here for a birthday lunch. The service was slow and were ignored in favor of big parties. The food ranged from mediocre to poor. I ordered the Chicago hot dog. It was over cooked to the point of nearly being burnt and the bun was stale. They tried to cover it up by toasting it. It was inedible. I should have sent it back but had already been there so long I thought we would never get out. And the price was far from reasonable. I will never go back.

$34 for two eggs, bacon, overcooked but cold potatoes and a chocolate croissant. Plus they charged another $5 for toast. I would recommend any of the benedicts or any other platter than the Midwestern Breakfast. The brunch offerings looked weak at best.

Please note this restaurant is located on the seventh floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. Two different dining environment are available, warm and cozy near a fireplace or a polished indoor patio-like setting with large windows. The food goes well beyond its description. A side of fried broccolini had outstanding flavor and texture, crisp not leaden. A beet salad appetizer split with a family member was presented on two plates, both works of art. Butternut squash soup was the best ever experienced. Halibut was a snow white, thick steak flaky like I rarely see outside of Alaska. Crispy-skinned duck breast accompanied by duck sausage and polenta was a delicious dinner special. I highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxed, quiet dinner with family or friends while visiting Chicago.

We made spur-of-the moment reservations through Open Table on a Friday night. We dined early and so weren't entirely surprised to find the wait staff a little on the light side, but as the evening went on - we left around 7 PM - it never did seem as if it were staffed properly. So our service was very slow. We found this to be the case in another hotel restaurant we dined at recently (NoMi), too. Even for a Friday night it never seemed to fill up, so perhaps that's why they staff so sparsely. Whatever the reason, service, as I said, was slow from our server himself, although dishes were brought and cleared away by other staff. The food was just OK; I had the seasonal squash soup, which was bland. The filet was very good, however, even though the sides were just OK (broccolini, which I hate due to its bitter taste, and plain yellow potatoes). The ambience is very lovely and afterwards we went out to the lounge and had some after dinner drinks, and enjoyed ourselves. All in all, if you're staying at the Four Seasons, it's a perfectly servicable restaurant. If you're not staying there, I wouldn't go out of my way to try it out as there are so many more exciting options in the area.
