Not at the high standard of a Four Seasons Hotel restaurant
Top notch 5 star restaurant. We loved our sever. Food was outstanding. Best place to celebrate Father’s Day. :)
Great service and very pleased they were willing to serve items not on the limited lunch menu. Since people’s bodies are working on different time zones it would be wise to add a few dinner entrees to the lunch menu.
Just fine, good food wait staff wanted us to be happy. A bit pricey but I guess that’s what to expect at the four seasons
Very disappointing. Despite most tables around us being unoccupied, the service was excruciatingly slow and random. More than one attempts just to get some bread and to order wine. Food unremarkable, struggling to reach the average level. All in all an underwhelming and unjustifiably expensive experience.
Great dish! I enjoyed my scallops so much that I wanted to look for a recipe and try it myself.
Team at Allium was awesome. Showed up with 12 for reservation of 8. They didn't hesitate to accommodate us and set up a table. Our server Brook was the best. She took great care of us especially myself who had a nut allergy and 2 vegans in our party.
Would totally go back.
Hostess was warm and friendly. Staff greeted my guests and I with sincere welcomes and warm smiles. Our table was right next to the window with a beautiful view of Michigan Avenue. Our server was very informative of the menu and gave excellent suggestions to my guest. Everything from my freshly squeezed orange juice to the preparation of my egg white frittata was divine. It was the perfect way to start my morning. Thank you Allium kitchen and staff!
Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend!
Great experience overall! Celebrated birthday. Excellent!
Our waiter and bus girl were attentive yet gave us space, the food was incredible! The location was very intimate and romantic. We loved it!
Excellent food, the server we had was phenomenal - did a great job guiding us through the menu, checked in at exactly the right times, made sure there was a good flow to the experience.
Our server was awesome, she made it a pleasant experience and was so friendly. For the service alone, I'd recommend it to friends. Cod tacos lacked flavor/seasoning. I put plenty of sauce and salt but Mariana kept our mimosas full at all times that the food was an afterthought. Hope she is there next time we visit! Oh, also my caramel latte was made perfectly! <3
Always feel welcome here. They have a good separate vegan menu. They accommodate my wife’s garlic allergy and they satisfy my seven year old daughter’s taste. Home run.
Best brunch I've ever had! Sanjeep was awesome!!!
Excellent server. Unfortunately, a large group nearby & so unusually loud in room near windows!
The excellent food *almost* made up for the so-so service.
Food was amazing! Staff was amazing! Everything was just perfect! This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago!
Our server was lovely. She has taken care of us before. A big shout out to her service!
Upscale restaurant with varied menu to please all. I enjoyed the lobster nachos and steak tartare, both were excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff prepared a surprise dessert and candles.
Super great server but you could tell she was overwhelmed because we hardly saw her. A bit overpriced but a great experience.
I wanted a gourmet Chicago dog and Allium did not disappoint us! Perfection!
Loved this place! Allium chicken was the bomb! The grasshoppers were the best dessert drink we’ve ever had!
Wonderful dining experience. The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing. It was our first time there and will definitely be back!
Waitress was very knowledgable about the menu and the restaurant was very accommodating for one of my parties wheat allergies. Food was fantastic and the service was great.
Spectacular service, great food and beautiful ambience.
Allium food and ambiance is exceptional - - the service, not so much. A pattern I'm finding when visiting this place regarding the service is that once the meal is done, getting water/coffee refills is a serious challenge - it's as if they've moved on to the next 'active' patron. 'Flagging anyone down' simply shouldn't be an experience one has when visiting a Four Seasons. Will it keep me from coming back? No. Will it keep me from raving about this place where other similarly-priced venues are in the vicinity? Definitely.
Food was amazing. Some of the best I’ve had. Ambiance was also terrific. Servers and hosts are exceptionally friendly; however, service was relatively slow. It seemed like they had one or two servers for the entire restaurant. I informed the restaurant that this dinner was for VVIP clients, and they sent a free bottle of champagne to the bottle. My client loved the experience as well!
Since we were staying at the Four Seasons, we gave the restaurant a try for breakfast. It's a lovely setting, and our server was outstanding. However, the eggs Benedict where a disappointment. We should have opted for the breakfast buffet.
It was a very pleasant experience.
The luxuriousnous of the space was appreciated.
My husband has difficulty with noisy spaces. Therefore the upholstery and carpeting, which absorb sound, was welcomed.
Service was lackluster - started with an almost 10 minute wait for the hostess to arrive to check us in for our reservation. Once our order was taken, appetizer was forgotten and time between ordering and getting served was long. Bus boy was good and attentive. Waitress was trying but seem to be foiled by the kitchen and others. Food was so-so and presented on a cramped plate or in a pan. A plate would have served us better. Nice atmosphere and quiet but pricey for the quality of food and service - $22 for an appetizer (lunch). Most likely would not choose to frequent again.
It is a pleasure to write a review for such a wonderful restaurant. It's hard to find good customer service nowadays, but when you receive impeccable service from every employee encountered and a array of fresh food for every pallet that's when you know this is what it is all about. We applaud Allium for taking such good care of us. As a vegan it is challenging at times to find restaurants who are vegan-friendly and what really touched me is when our waitress Mariana told me she too is vegan. How wonderful! Mariana was beyond good, her service was detailed, professional, relatable, a level of perfection. Allium's personal touch, delicious food, and ambiance has us hooked for life. We shared our unforgettable experience with our friends and family. They are now anticipating the great Allium experience. Thank you Allium and Mariana for everything. Blessings! (Lilia's Quinoa Muesli and banana pancakes sooo deliciously divine)
Great menu for restaurant week! Great food!
Thanks Allium! ❤️
Dined at Allium during restaurant week. Ordered from the pre-fixed menu. Each course was worse than the preceding one. Barrata was ok. Prawns were scarce. Sea bass was flavorless. I never submit reviews to anything but a restaurant like this, in a Four Seasons, fell woefully short. I travel to Chicago frequently and this is the worst dining I have experienced in your great city. Service was pleasant and timely.
It could have just been the night that we were there but it was like walking into a quiet oasis from a very noisy day. The acoustics of this place are nice and low. It was the perfect chill spot. The food was excellent, but the service by Katherine was unbelievable.
I rarely encounter her level of professionalism when dining out. She made everything appear effortless and seamless. I hope she makes a ton of money, because she made the meal a flawless experience.
Thank you Ms. K !!
As one would expect from Four Seasons, lovey meal for restaurant week. Made the price point a little more reasonable. Service was fantastic, food and wine delicious. Only negative was the dessert, a little disappointing.
We ordered from the prix fixe menu for Restaurant Week. The food was perfectly prepared and the pairing of the courses was great. Located in the Four Seasons hotel on the 7th floor, beautifully decorated with modern artwork.
Impeccable restaurant at the four seasons. While everything was top of the line and it was expected to pay $40-50 per entree, I was surprised at the cost of the drinks.- five of us, beverages at $15-20 with a $150 bar tab. Lesson would be to each have a drink or perhaps split a bottle of wine. Other that that, I have no complaints
Sarah our waitress was just great; very personable and efficient. I had the shrimp and chorizo with heirloom tomatoes and he had the steak. Both meals were superb. I’ve been here once before and the meals never disappoint. Drinks were never empty and food came efficiently. Cocktails are definitely full pours. Very clean restaurant and we are already thinking of coming again in the spring.
not many places are very expensive but worth every penny, Allium is. Drinks and appetizer at the fireplace, then dinner in the very cozy bar all handled by a delightful and engaging person, Juliette. Drinks were expensive but so well done. Wife and I had two different scallop preparations each good enough to fight over. Time and dollars well spent.
