Allium Ratings and Reviews
we go annually for brunch when my family comes in from overseas and the service is always impeccable. The staff go out of their way to make every visit memorable whether we are celebrating a birthday or if it's just a special occasion to be together as a family. The ambiance is lovely - we love the fountain room. And the restaurant is very kid friendly yet upscale and classy.
Very disappointing experience. First of all, service was awful. When you go to a place at a high price, you expect that to be second to none. Waiter would check to ensure my husband had a drink, but would ignore me. Food was ok at best. And most disappointing is that all cocktails are premade behind the bar. Nothing is freshly stirred or shaken. At $15 per cocktail, that is ridiculous. Overall, you will find a better tasting meal at a better cost with better service elsewhere!
Allium has been a long time favorite of my wife and I. It is located on the 7th floor of the Four Season's hotel. There is a lively bar area near the entrance to the restaurant and a more quite dining area in the back. On Saturday we had the pleasure of being served by Amir. His recommendations were excellent and he was very engaging and genuinely enjoyed making our evening feel special.
Great dinner at Allium! Our favorite was the lobster nachos, they were amazing! Our server was awesome with making sure our meal met my dietary accommodations of being gluten & dairy free. She suggested a coconut ice cream & gluten free chocolate cake for dessert that was fabulous!
I was interested in a brunch menu item, but brunch was two hours later than our dining time. Our server and the kitchen were able to accommodate our request and the breakfast was excellent! Try the brioche french toast stuffed with dark chocolate sprinkled with coconut!
Not a traditional brunch buffet like before, menu a la carte.
Service is not up to Four Seasons level, dress of staff is too casual for this fine a restaurant and Sunday meal. Wood paneling and marble floors with tall ceilings and windows make room much too loud. Wait staff puts orders in at kiosk right next to dining tables. Wall around kiosk is dirty and worn. I expected a much grander experience like the Four Seasons of old, but it is no more.
I don't know where these other reviewers dined..but here is the real experience: Saturday at 8pm but 30% full, no overhead music, children and people in cotton shorts so poor ambiance. The waitress was attentive but used a paper order pad like we were in a diner. They were out of the lobster. The lamb chop was less than flavorful and small. This is hotel restaurant, not a place for either an intimate or modern and fun dining experience.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent . One thing I really appreciate is that the servers were very attentive, but they didn't keep interrupting our conversation to say "How is everything?" Allium has wonderful ambiance -- the furnishings are handsome and comfortable, and the tables are spaced far enough apart that conversation is easy.
Wonderful dinner! Went on Valentine's Day and Allium had a special menu for the occasion (in addition tot he normal menu items). It was terrific; tasty offerings prepared well. Service was more than solid and the Four Seasons setting is very inviting. The prices are Four Seasons like, but we thought the overall experience was perfect; relaxed upscale setting, great meal on a fun day.
My guest and I dined at Allium for a birthday celebration and our waitress was outstanding. She accommodated my guest's requested revision of a menu item with
no hassle whatsoever. The pace of the service was spot on, and we enjoyed our
complementary glass of sparkling wine in recognition of my guest's birthday and
that was greatly appreciated. I most highly recommend the room for a special celebration or for just a "let's get dressed up a bit and treat ourselves for no special reason" dinner out.
The service was excellent and the food delicious! However, the wait time on our food was quite long. It was never explained to us as to why. Apologies were made, but overall we felt disappointed. We've always believed in the high standards of the Four Seasons and hope this was a one time incident.
