   The ambience here is perfect. The old brick on the wall and interior arches make this a great setting for dinner. The food and service is amazing but the prices are on the high end. If you visit, you need to try the candied alligator appetizer. The alligator is so delicious and the caramel popcorn adds a great touch.

   Our server jay was very attentive and was super friendly. The service in general was excellent, had an 8 o’clock reservation and was able to get seated 45 minutes early. Absolutely delicious good and would definitely recommend.

    Food was good for the most part, had a wedge salad that was a little far from fresh and kinda wet. Wild boar tasty and plentiful! Gumbo very good, entree portion enormous. Peanut butter pie yummy and waitress was top notch!

    Food was phenomenal. Zero rush to get you in and out. The antelope and the hilbo are to DIE for. If you have to wait and book ahead for several weeks do it! Will not be disappointed

    First time, not the last. The meal was exceptional and the service and ambiance outstanding. Starting with the drinks, the beer was cold and the wine flight reasonably priced from a solid vineyard. The alligator boudin was flavorful. My wife had shrimp and grits which came in three sizes. She ordered the appetizer size which was sufficient for dinner. The mixed salad was shared and was fresh with an excellent mix of nuts, cheese, fruit and greens. I had the duck breast. It was the best that I have ever had anywhere. I give this place 5 belly rubs, thumbs- ups, etc. mmmmmmmmm

    Just a wonderful dining experience. The menu is always changing with a number of unique dishes. The wine list is excellent and yet very affordable. We had the wild boar and the antelope which were great. The banana fosters was a hit for dessert. Alligator soul is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Savanna.

    The restaurant is very expensive so be prepared for the price. The drink are great, food was great, the dessert was omg awesome. The drink i order butterfly and hive. The main course I ordered Shrimp and Grits had so much favor you can taste the Creole. Let me tell about the dessert to die for, I order the Winter Beignets you get 3 round Beignets, Orange marmalade, 2 scoops Raspberry Sorbet, one scoop of Vanilla ice cream but I substitute the ice cream with extra sorbet. They also have dessert drink I tried the Pink Gangster with went great with the dessert. Overall I do recommend the restaurant. But make reservations before hand.

    I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant, I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday there. I was greeted warmly by our server, however, rarely saw him after that, in fact, if it wasn’t for the server at the table next to us, we would’ve never heard the specials, we definitely wouldn’t have had water. Our appetizers came out quickly, but it took a while to receive our main meal (delivered by runners from the kitchen) and though my husbands entrée was very good, mine had an unfavorable taste, and quality. Again, had it not been for the server next to us our beverage glasses would never have seen a refill and it was not her responsibility to ask us about our satisfaction. When our server finally came by to ask how our meal was we were ready to leave. In the hour plus that we were there, we probably saw our server three times. One at the welcome, one in passing to check on our appetizers, and at the completion of our meal.

    We are vegans and took a chance on this place. The food was very well prepared and delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was elegant and fun. We've been raving about the experience to other vegans in Savannah, as it was a surprise. Great place to take a group with varied dining preferences.

    Solid choice for someone coming in to town to experience lowcountry cooking. Situated in a basement that has been thoughtfully renovated (raw brick walls particularly homely). Gator Boudin appetizer superb. Shrimp and grits needed more seasoning and, based on my eight month national search for the best, a recasting of the recipe (see Boudro's, San Antonio; Swamp Fox in Charleston). Duck entrée is a great cool weather dish with supple, slicable duck. Wine list well chosen but too expensive (the markups are too high).

    Exceptional service from Hannah! This was our first time visiting Alligator Soul and will definitely be back. We ordered the shrimp and grits and ribeye. The food is outstanding and the service we received from Hannah was one of the best service experiences we’ve ever received. Look forward to returning.

    Food use to be consistent but has not been so the last few times that my husband and I ate there. Food has gotten to be a little spicier and hotter than in the past. With that being said, it still is a good restaurant but needs to look at the success of past flavor profiles.

    Great cocktail selections and wine or bourbon flights. Our meals were delicious and came out hot and fresh. The dining room was very romantic with white tablecloths and candle light ambience. We will be back on our next trip to Savannah!

    Lovey at atmosphere and delicious food. We made reservations over a month in advance so def recommend you do so to avoid a wait as it gets busy very quickly. Our waiter was lovely and the complimentary spiced wine was lovely. The grits were the best!
