    A unique culinary adventure in Savannah! My husband had a cup of the gumbo and the fish special and I had the scallops - delicious! The dessert - chocolate truffle and rocks - which we subbed with vanilla ice cream - was a little odd, wasn’t my favorite.

    Everything from the moment the door was opened for us to when we walked out was nothing short of perfection. Best meal we’ve had in Savannah. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

    The food was fair. I would say 50% of the dishes we ordered were great, the others just so so. Was not impressed by the gumbo or the deviled crab. Both were lacking in flavor. The fish special and boudin was great. For the price and the hype and it being a slower night, you’d expect every dish to be wonderful. Unfortunately, our experience was a little lack luster. Our server was wonderful.

    Everything from seating to dessert was perfect. We visit AS every year on our anniversary trip to Savannah and it's a reservation I make as soon as the hotel is booked. The food is always impeccable and the staff very knowledgeable. Sarah was our server this year and she was fantastic. The venison was on special and was a great entree. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. One of the best in Savannah.

    The restaurant is lovely and the service was impeccable. Very nice wine list. Unfortunately, our entree choices were very mediocre. The scallop dish was beautifully presented but the scallops were cool. The alligator crab was an interesting concept that, sadly, didn't work. The dish lacked flavor.

    My table ordered the alligator boudin fritters and the carving board for the starters. The fritters were amazing and paired beautiful with the cutting board(red onion marmalade was to die for!). For entrees, the wild game specialty (deer) was so moist/tender and paired it with the Scotsman. The duck was an Instagram-able experience although slightly dry. I ordered the wild boar shank and although delicious it just tastes like a pot roast. It did go well with the prisoner wine tasting menu.The winning plate of the night was the little hilbo! The only dish I would order again. The whole night was an experience; especially, the wait staff, being knowledgeable and pleasant.

    The food was out of this world. Hands down the best meal in Savannah! Our service was every bit as outstanding and complimentary of the food.     This was our first meal after arriving in Savannah for the first time. It was delicious! We tried the alligator appetizer and had the scallops. Everything was very tasty and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

    We’ve been to Savannah many times over the past 15 years, but somehow missed the wonderful experience of dining at Alligator Soul. We will definitely include a visit for dinner on future trips here! Everything was great: the knowledge, friendliness and professionalism of our server, Hannah, and manager, Rashad, was over the top. The atmosphere was perfect - no blaring music to drown out conversation, in a very pretty dining room in the grotto-like basement of an old building in the historic district. Chef Deane and his staff prepare delicious food and the bartenders really know how to make a variety of fantastic cocktails. After the three of us shared a tasty charcuterie board as a starter (great selection of cheeses, meats and accompanying bits such as olives artichoke, pepitas and honey comb), and ate far too much of the delicious house-baked bread (with a specially seasoned butter that was perfect), we chose the chef’s specials as our main courses: two had antelope and one tried the red fish (drum). Both came with really delicious sauces and veggies (crispy fingerling potatoes, butternut squash purée, grilled asparagus sliced thin). Don’t be afraid to try the exotic offerings here: nothing seemed “gamey” or strong-tasting, and anything that is spiced can be adjusted to a level you enjoy by the staff during the preparation. We didn’t think we would have room for dessert but it was too tempting to pass up! The vanilla ice cream and raspberry sorbet were quite good and the peanut butter pie with chocolate ganache (also made in-house) was really yummy. Such a large piece - I had to take part of it to go! I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying a dinner at Alligator Soul. They go out of their way to ensure a perfect dining experience, and checked off all the boxes and went beyond what one expects. All restaurants should provide such a satisfying dining experience.

    Fantastic all the way around! I can’t express how phenomenal the food, atmosphere and service were. We started with the Alligator Fritters, I had the Pear Salad, My husband had the wild game special which was Antelope and I had the Scallops. For dessert, we had the “Chocolate,” very creative and delicious!! Top notch!!

    I had the alligator chorizo and Mac and cheese as a side with the fish special-both were DELICIOUS. My husband had the seafood gumbo and loved it. Nice glass of wine, clever and tasty chocolate dessert.

    Excellent. We meet with friends at 515pm. The food was just outstanding, inventive and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Service was excellent our waiter knew everything to know about the food and wine. Alligator Soul is a special place.
