Everything was amazing. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed.
I heard about Alligator Soul the first time i visited Savannah but alway chose a different restaurant , finally after my fourth visit I decided to make a reservation and I'm so glad I did ! I have dined at Alligator Soul twice now and will continue to make sure this will be one of my regular stops when I'm in town. You won't be disappointed, Superb , Superb, Superb!! Excellent Food and Service! I highly recommend The Little Hilbo or Beef Filet, cooked to perfection! Not many restaurants can do that!!!
Im a local and this is a Savannah favorite. The food never disappoints. I always look forward to their daily bread flavor and little sampling ‘Amuse Bouche’. I’d recommend to anyone. It’s a great special occasion spot and will even give you a little treat if you come for your birthday :)
The entire experience was great! Ryan really took care of us! If you ever come to Sav, this is a MUST eat place !!’
I absolutely love this restaurant. It is one of my favorite places in Savannah. Just love it!
Perfect Romantic Savannah Classic with exceptional service. The food was classic yet still creative with great surprises. Top pick for special meal out and will return soo .
Alligator Soul was phenomenal! We had a great meal and everything was so delicious. We’re still talking about it 4 days later. Highly recommend the alligator fritters!
I have eaten here before, and I have never been disappointed. The food and atmosphere are great for date night, a business dinner, or just to try a new exotic entrée.
Great food and atmosphere.
Good food but not so great as to justify the price
The food and service was amazing!
Our family celebration August 10 Fabulous dinner , food was amazing as was the service. Would love to come back
Great food. Waiter was awesome and the cocktails are amazing.
Great dinner as always!
Excellent food as usual. Our server, Sonny, was simple great. His level of service, from the special Shirley Temple for our daughter to his interaction with us, made for a memorable evening.
The chefs appetizer would have tasted better hot. For the price I would have expected a nicer cut of meat. The cut was mangled and the meat was cooked properly but had tendon or tough striations. The rest of the meal was hardly memorable besides the scallops. The scallops were great. But I could have done that at home for a 1/3 of the price.
Great restaurant! Love the environment and food! Service is always great!
We had an absolutely horrible dining experience at this incredibly over-rated restaurant. Two people in our party of five ordered the filet mignon which came out of the kitchen with more drizzle than meat...which should never happen with filet. The ostrich was like chewing on leather, the pheasant was gamey, and the scallops contained sand in every bite. Ordered a Gini-Tini cocktail and even that was tasteless. After not touching one of the filets, the waitress told us she informed the chef, but then she still charged us for the dish (I couldn’t believe it). When we refused to pay for it, she returned to our table and informed us the owner agreed to take it off our bill - thanks, but he/she didn’t even have the decency, professionalism, or courtesy to address us in-person. We have thoroughly enjoyed all of the restaurants this week in beautiful Savannah - I guess one bad restaurant out of five isn’t bad. Stay away from this restaurant - 100% over-rated and over-priced.
We had a great time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Can't wait to go back again
Delightful place for dinner and special occasions. Ambience was tasteful and elegant, yet you could enjoy relaxed casual dress. Food was very good. My wife had a delicious piece of fish and I ordered the ribeye. It was large and cooked to perfection. The service was over the top. No glass was ever empty and food was served in a timely matter. Because of our age we were a little challenged by the steps to get to the street level. The restaurant is underground.
Great setting in the basement.
Excellent service and delicious food!
Great meal with delicious local seafood. Well prepared and presented. Fabulous service.
They gave us the 5 star treatment we deserve. I will most definitely consider that location for another formal dinner option.
Fabulous!!! My only negative was that my fish wasn’t seasoned enough. Needed a dash of salt. My rice was a tad under cooked.
But everything else we had was amazing!!!
It’s a great venue and staff are on point. A must!
* PSA Please do not let the pics fool you!! If you love food like I do, DO NOT GO FOR THE FOOD!!
The ambience is nothing short of AMAZING!! However the food was very subpar. I was very disappointed with the taste of certain items, especially the oysters. They tasted like either chicken or something else I can not describe, but it did not taste like an oyster. It was my wife's birthday and I felt horrible because aside from the alcohol the food, which we came for, was anything and everything else but good, great or fantastic. Never going back until they change the chef!!
It's a bit pricey, but it was certainly in the range of what I'd expect from fine dining in the historic district. The service was perfect, the food was great and the atmosphere was casually sophisticated. They have a unique menu and a fantastic scotch, whiskey and wine selection. I'd highly recommend it.
Perhaps the best service we’ve ever had. Remarkable food. The Diver Scallops were unbelievably spectacular!
We enjoyed our 10 year anniversary at Alligator Soul. The food was awesome, and the service was top notch. I would highly recommend this place for a date night or special occasion. It’s located downstairs just a couple blocks away from the busier areas of Savannah.
Lots of unique food options to try for the first time. We had the ostrich, gator fritters, and gumbo. All fantastic
We really enjoyed our dinner at Alligator Soul. The service from every person we interacted with was top notch. My watermelon salad was a bit disappointing. The lettuce was kind of wilted and the overall presentation was sloppy. My cocktails were really sweet. Everything else was good. My husband really enjoyed everything he ordered. Overall it was a lovely night, but we paid nearly $300 for the two of us with tax and tip. The service was worth the money, but I’m not sure the cuisine was there.
A lovely spot that we gladly returned to again six years later on our anniversary. The food is flavorful and portions are huge. Love their little special touches to feel welcomed on special occasions as well, it's appreciated. Service was great, my only comment is that I ordered the watermelon gazpacho and it didn't arrive with a spoon. I couldn't find my server or get anyone else's attention to ask for one. It was chunky enough to eat the majority of it was a fork, but it would've been nice to "eat" the juice as well with a spoon. It was restaurant week (we didn't know this when we booked as we are from out of town) and you could tell all of the servers were quite busy. Great wine menu and they are very accommodating to allergies which I am very grateful for. I would gladly visit here again and highly recommend it to others.
The venue was typical Savannah...quaint and quiet. Dinner and the service were devine. My husband said it was the best redfish he's eaten and he is a picky fish eater. My steak was delicious. Everything about the evening was pleasant and enjoyable.
Wow. Second time here to celebrate our anniversary. Waiter was amazing and food was incredible. The alligator crab cakes were awesome as were sauces. Redfish was great with shishito aioli; wonderful. Oysters were flavorful. Loved the shrimp & grits side. House Chardonnay was reasonable, crisp and smooth. Tables were private. A must visit in Savannah.
The shrimp & grits were absolutely DELICIOUS! This was the best meal that we ate while in Savannah. Service was great also.
The gumbo and watermelon feta salad was very good. My daughter loved her shrimp and grits. I think initially our waiter was a bit perturbed that my husband and I were “only” ordering off the restaurant week menu, but he quickly adjusted his attitude and provided good service to us.
I would definitely return.
Everything was perfect. All staff was amazing. Caitlynn did a phenomenal job. Can’t wait to go back.
Fantastic attentive service—-My champagne glass was never even half empty! The crawfish Gouda mac n cheese was to die for! The peach sauce on the ostrich complemented it so well and the key lime cheesecake very light, creamy and delicious. If I lived in Savannah I’d go there weekly!
It was my birthday our server I think his name was Zep, approached us wished me happy birthday was very very knowledgeable about the menu and what is in everything, super friendly and attentive. Amazing place.
Unbelievably excellent service!
One of the best meals we have ever had. Great service all around. Will definitely be coming back!
