Allgauer's Restaurant - Doubletree Hotel Ratings and Reviews
I use to come here all of the time. From the time you had the plates in the wall with pictures of people who finished the extra large steak through your remodel. Use to be one of my favorite places. I hadn’t been in a while so I brought my brother and sister I. Law with myself and my husband. We had a reservation for 930 after our movie. There were kids running wild and some sort of buffet. The first table we were brought to had dirty silverware. The next one the table was shorter than the seats the wall had holes in it and the steak house feel that I use to get was not there. We had drinks in the bar before the movie and there was only one server. The drink glasses look like they belong in a doll house. A steak house should have a great wine selection and beautiful glasses, not spotted miniature wine glasses. Mike the server was good, but the upkeep has plummeted. I don’t know that I will be returning. So ashamed that I brought my family there all the while telling them how great it was. Oh, and we were told that you close at 10pm, so why do you have 930 reservations? My husband and my brother ordered ribeyes, but had different sides and different temperatures for their steaks. They were put on the wrong plates! We were told it would be another 20 or so minutes to re cook them. We should not have to switch food from plate to plate. It should have come out right. Attention to detail. Just disappointing.
Place empty for a 5:30 Saturday night reservation - should have gotten a clue. Waitress Kadeshia was pleasant enough, but drinks were weak (Maker's manhatten and Tito's and tonic). We each ordered a filet with horseradish crust - which wasn't on when brought to the table. No rolls/butter provided until they were asked for. Also had to ask for the salads which were supposed to come with our meals and got wilted lettuce, with some brown leaves in it. Daughter had a kids Big Burger which was pretty crispy and charred but was a large burger. Asparagus side was cooked nicely -crisp, and mashed potato was hot and seasoned ok. Overall nothing special for the price, service lacking, and likely won't be back.
This was my first time there and I was there celebrating 2 birthdays. The décor was nice, food was plentiful, drinks were great and the service was Awesome. I will definitely be returning, I would like to try several menu items and Fish Fridays. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again in the near future.
My Prime rib was all grissel the waitress came back from the kitchen and said another prime rib would be from the same cut so it would be grissel also so the chef told her to suggest a ribeye. It was very tasty but went home hungry because by the time I cut off all the surrounding fat it was a small price of meat left. This was so disappointing since my son got married at the hotel the restaurant is in and everything was so good for the reception I had high expectations for the restaurant
This was advertised as a Prime Rib Buffet dinner however there were no other options of food available. My family & i went there expecting to have multiple choices to choose from. We were disappointed not only in the menu but the food wasn't hot. We definitely WON'T be going back there!
Was hoping for a good option for finer dining. The food wasn't bad but the waitress was definitely not high end. More on a dennys level. Didn't help that I had just ate at a 5 star steakhouse a few days earlier and was expected that level of service. Also, The hostess seemed overwhelmed by having 5 tables at 9pm. This could be a good option for finer dining with some changes.
Not a good experience at all. I'm guessing they were understaffed. Waited 30 minutes for the cocktail menu, afterwhich I decided to walk to the bar myself to get drinks because our waiter was swamped. Bartender wasn't there because he had to help the back of the house with something. After I got a hold of the waiter, he had to make the drinks for us because the bartender wasnt available. I paid for the prime rib buffet. No one was at the prime rib station my entire time there. The buslady had to come over and cut my slice after she saw me standing there for 5 minutes waiting. I didnt want to be ignorant and cut it myself. All the patrons decided to get the buffet because they could tell that the one waiter couldn't keep up.
