Excellent service with waitress Denise. The hamburger special was scrumptious and amazingly reasonable.
Great food and service
I thought the Hotel Restarant did a great job with the whole meal
Went for Saturday morning buffet. Food was fine, liked the ability to order eggs anyway and made to order omletes. The only negative was it was so quiet we basically sat ourselves and even though we had a reservation for 3 they told me it was fine and did not take any information to check us in.
Wide menu choices.....excellent food presentation and taste. New manager who gently kept an eye on staff, patrons and all details.
Our good sized meals, BLT with 2 eggs & 1/2 lb. Allgauer's burger, were great. The none salty sweet potato fries were especially good.
Thursday's are our affordable date night. The burgers are delish.
Our favorite burger place. The Thursday deal is a date maker.
I can't judge for the inside service but the outside service was terrible. We had to go inside to get a server, our drinks took a 1/2hr to get and then it was the wrong one. Burgers were overdone even after they asked for a requested temperature. Food was mediocre. We sat on the patio which wasn't terrible but it's right next to the parking lot. Will definitely not return.
Allgauer's is now serving "family style" dinners on Sunday for only $14, and the amount of food appearing on the tables is amazing. We were there to enjoy a plain old night out, so didn't take advantage of it. It was very noisy, crowded, and ran the servers ragged. There was so much food being delivered everywhere, I don't know how the restaurant could really make any money.
Jennifer is very attentive and remembers our favorite order and drinks. Our burgers were grilled to perfection.
This was our first trip to Allgauer's. I signed up for the email club and received an ad about a "Sunday Family Dinner" special deal that was starting on Sunday the 2nd of July. The very nice host who seated us did not seem to know about this Sunday special which could be because it had just started that day. Our server knew about it and gave us the special menu, and a good explanation of how it worked. We all decided on pork chops. They were large and thick and tasty. I had a rather thick one which I wished was less pink in the middle. It tasted ok but did not have the apple glaze as advertised on the menu. Instead, it tasted of lemon pepper. It was still good, but I really wanted the apple glazed preparation. Loved the veggies. Green beans perfectly done along with carrots, vertically sliced with a bit of the green top still attached. Fresh and delicious. Salad and dessert were generous and tasty too. We each got to choose our own salad dressing which was served on the side. Nice! Service was very good. Server and manager checked on us several times. We will be back in a week or two to try another selection.
Food was good we brought my husband for Father's Day brunch. We did agree some selections were too cold to enjoy such as the melted butter for the ice cold crab legs. The mimosas were warm but overall we enjoyed our first time experience.
Only place we have seen all New Glarus beers on tap. Food was OK - nothing to write home (or a review) about. Shaved prime rib sandwich was dry and came with peppers when I specifically asked them to be held.
A nice hotel restaurant for a relaxing meal and quiet evening in
The Thursday special makes date night affordable and filling.
Great variety and spread. It seemed well planned and we had no issues with our reservation. It was enjoyable enough that we would consider their Mother's Day brunch again.
Service outstanding....ask for waitress Taylor....food presentation dramatic....choices for veggie and starch fun and tasty...all delicious...we will return.
For a hotel restaurant it is decent. The menu selection is not large, nor is the wine list. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Ordered two filets "medium" but came close to well done. Beer braised short rib was tender. Shrimp scampi was very good. Dinner salads were large, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Because there was an Easter brunch in the other hotel restaurant, we had Allgauer's all to ourselves. This was perfect for our rowdy three-year-old! The waitress was wonderful.
The cheeseburger was so good that I never put it down.
Me and my husband had a great time it was valentines day and also are wedding night, we had so much fun we could not stop talking about how fancy it is how we can wait to go back even if we do not stay at hotel for the night. I would recommend this to any one especially for a romantic night.
Friendly staff with great service. 1/2 # Bacon cheeseburgers are a great Thursday date night deal.
Friendly people, good food. The Thursday bacon cheeseburger, fries and a cold brew are a good deal and a night out that doesn't bust the bank.
Cindy was awesome serving my important client lunch.
Really disappointing - seafood choices were not fresh. Crab cakes were more like "crab puree". Entire menu is overpriced for the food, and their isn't a great dining experience to make up for it. Staff was definitely friendly and attentive, but the food is a disappointment.
I'd wanted to try this place for a while, and finally did with a coworker. I was very pleased with the entire experience. The mussels appetizer was very well prepared. And my steak was cooked to perfection. I will definitely return to take advantage of one of there specials.
Friendly, attentive staff. Thursday burger special makes you wonder why you'd want to bother cooking at home. Excellent value.
The Thursday bacon-cheeseburger with fresh made chips, french or sweet potato fries and a domestic bottle beer or soda combo is now $7 but still a deal.
Typical low end hotel food
Great service, food (delish cheeseburger) and great value.
Love Allgauer's in the Park. We go there most Thursdays for the burger deal!! We have our favorite waitress, Jenny!! And Mike the manager is also great!!
Food was delish and the services was outstanding. Cindy was one of the best waitresses we've had in a while.
Their Thursday bacon-cheeseburger & beer special is starting to bring in more customers. Only $6 for 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger with fries or homemade chips and a domestic beer or fountain soda. Quite the satisfying meal without denting your wallet too much.
Still the best burger deal in town! 1/2# cheese burger w/bacon, side of fries or homemade chips and a domestic beer, $6.
Great place for lunch if you want a soup and salad bar. Everything is fresh and very good selection. The fish fry and prime rib is great too.
Without a doubt, the best burger deal in town! 1/2# cheese burger w/bacon, side of fries or homemade chips and a domestic beer, $6.
We went for the Thursday Special, 1/2 # bacon cheeseburger, spud and domestic beer for $6.
Good choices of domestic beers such as Sam Adams and Leinie's Red. The burgers arrived about 25 minutes after ordering but were worth the wait. The homemade potato chips were as fine as anywhere I've been. Dinner for three was less than $20 and truly a great deal. We'll be returning sometime to try their all-you-can eat fish fry.
Food was bland & overpriced. Server was slow. Beer wasn't IPA, it was more like a pale.
I didn't know this restaurant was attached to a hotel when I arrived, but I thought, "Hey, Hilton Garden's a good brand."
The layout is weird, with an open kitchen on the other side of a permanent buffet. It was loud, with all of the noise coming from the back of house.
Their French Onion Soup was ok, though it was practically bread pudding with all of the croutons they put in. The burger was basic. It was overcooked, and the bacon; I'm not sure how you fail with bacon but the ends were very crispy while the center was chewy & stringy.
All in all, it was ... edible, I guess.
Was unaware this restaurant existed in the Hilton Hotel until a friend told me. Food and Service was good. Ordered an Old Fashion and the fruit was muddled, like it is suppose to be!
