Alley Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Walking distance to our home along with the great service and food makes our new go-to restaurant. Angie was the perfect server and made great suggestions for both specials and cocktails. My wife had a pasta and steak special and I had the Porterhouse steak. Both were amazing.
We will be back!
Was up in the area and had past restaurant a few times and wondered how the food was there. Went on Open Table and it had good reviews. Made reservations and took the family. The service was awesome, great waitress. The food was delicious. My wife had to concede and tell me I made a good choice. Will eat there again when up that way.
First time ever in years of using Open Table the restaurant had no record of our reservation. I showed the hostess my phone with the reservation and 35 minutes later we were seated. This is a very busy restaurant and while mistakes do occur other reviews have mentioned this problem. Food is good, prices reasonable, very noisy atmosphere but will return. Have been going there when in the area for the past 15 years!
The Alley is such a comfortable, nice and cozy restaurant/bar for any occasion or not. It's like the favorite neighborhood place. Their saying "best pour on the shore" is true. Very nice and friendly servers and bartenders. It is casual dress yet dressed up parties come on all the time. Love this place!
Went for a late Saturday breakfast, but ended up having lunch. Clean and nice place with fair service. Food took a long time to come out, then was pretty greasy. Someone in my party felt a bit dyspeptic the remainder of the day. I think it may be more of a late night place!
Was looking for a place that would be convenient to get together for a brunch
Found the Alley and the food was awesome and reasonably priced
About the only downside to this place was the noise level
Rather difficult to be able to carry on a conversation
Would likely be a better location for a couple or smaller party than 6
Our Sunday brunch reservation thru Open Table . Our reservation was not communicated to the restaurant in time. However the manager/hostess worked us in . Thanks to afresh hostess for accommodating us! As always , it's a nice place where service is great and food delicious!
There were issues with our reservation through open table. If the app had worked we probably never would have found out how creepy and rude the bartender was, so much so we left before being served a drink. The manager did follow up the following day, she was the best part of the experience. Seemed very kind. I expressed how shocked we were about his behavior and that the reviews we had read on yelp afterwards were correct, the bartender is awful. For that reason we ended up leaving.
Great food, we bring our family here when they are visiting and have never been disappointed in many visits. We go for brunch, bottomless mimosas with you controlling the OJ and cranberry, they pour freely but will cut you off if you go stupid, so don't spoil it for the rest of us! LOL. The food is really good from the standard breakfast fare, eggs Benedict, omelets made to order to the burgers to the steak and eggs. They have salads on the menu also(doesn't quite go with mimosas but I won't judge you). The servers actually act like they like their job even though the place is pretty compact. It is loud and vibrant so not really a kid friendly place(find a sitter) and tight. Not a new, sparkly interior but decorated seasonally, it is definitely a neighborhood spot, we drive 25 miles to get there, well worth it. And make a reservation, we walked right in with a party of 6 at 1215 pm on Sunday.
