   Allegro is a delightful little place, ideal for any occasion. The owner is there every time I have been so our dining experience has been very consistent on each visit. There is something for everyone on the menu, the prices are reasonable and the food is always delicious.

   We had a wonderful time. Our Waiters name was Pauly from Romania. He was very helpful, pleasant, funny. The food was prompt and on point. Very tasty and good size portions. This was our first time visit and we will definitely be back soon!

   This was my second time here. The food was excellent and our server was wonderful. I think he really got a kick out of our one unique dinner guest and he was adoring her.

   Our server was great. Very attentive! Both my husband and I found our pasta dishes to be very, very salty. Caesar salad was great. Steak was perfect!

   Allegro was participating in Edmonton Downtown Dining Week and it was on our list of ‘new places to eat’. Great time to try a new restaurant or so we thought. Our server brought menus including the special DDW menu from which all three of us chose, 2 osso bucco, 1 arctic char. We were then told that they had sold out of the DDW meals. Osso bucco is a regular menu item, arctic char is not, and we inquired as to whether we could just have the osso bucco from the regular menu with the DDW menu. We were told ‘NO it’s not the same’ I have visited restaurants in several cities during dining week and have found that the items offered generally come from the regular menu, they are just offered as part of a multiple course meal at a special price. Customer service is what separates a good restaurant from a great one. Allegro did not post any information on the DDW website stating they were sold out and they didn’t seem to care that we had come specifically for this menu. We decided to eat elsewhere.

   Went for Edmonton dining week, got the 30 $ meal, very tasty veal, the sauce was a bit too salty though. The waitress was very confused and kept bring out the wrong orders.

   Pauly the server was awesome. Food portions for downtown dining week were huge! And everything tasted great.

    #downtowndiningweek started yesterday. I made all my reservations for this year, beginning with @allegroitaliankitchen. Let me first start off by saying, I am not a chef, a food critic or a restauranteur - just a gal who likes to dine on great food. I made my reservation for 7:15. Our cab driver and ourselves had a hard time finding Allegro on 100 Ave - not because I hadn't passed by it a thousand times but because of the construction fence surrounding it and their sign was not lit. As we entered, the restaurant was at full capacity. There were 8 people ahead of us waiting for a table. After 20 minutes of not being acknowledged, I interrupted a server to say I had a reservation. Another 10 minutes and we were finally seated. I already picked my menu choices before arriving - settling on the $45 Executive Dinner of Scampi, Osso Buco and the Creme Carmel for dessert. We started with ordering a bottle of wine which arrived at our table 30 minutes later. I proceeded to let our waiter know my choices for this evening. "I'm sorry ma'am, our scampi didn't arrive and we are out of the Osso Buco" Disappointed, I chose their second choices for this menu - Insalata Mista & Arctic Char. The salad was ok and the main was way over salted and came with dry rice that they insisted was risotto. "Are you ready for your tiramisu? Say what?! I guess since you are out of the Creme Carmel. I personally would never go back. I may try their location on 95 street. If you are not able to provide what you are promoting for #downtowndiningweek, make sure people know this menu has changed by updating the website. 👎. The only good thing was the wine, the warm bread and of course my date
