We chose to come here mainly because the food is great but also because our good friend has celiac disease, And you offer a wonderful selection of gluten-free. Your food is really really good and your place is so homey we love the service everything. Thank you
Went for lunch food and service was outstanding I will be coming back to try dinner.
Nice people and nice atmosphere but it all ends there, unfortunately. The price for the food at such small serving sizes is outrageous. We were stunned when the bill arrived and were totally unsatisfied and still hungry. They ask you if you want soup or salad with your entree and then don't tell you that it doesn't come with it and is $9 for small bowl of nothing but lettuce! Ridiculous. Quality of food compared to other authentic Italian restaurants is sub par at best. Prices for house wine is another joke. They also overcharged us and we pointed it out on the bill and they had to correct it. I won't be back.
Always a treat to dine at a little part of Italy.
Great food. Awesome service.
Delicious food, impeccable service. Authentic Italian food with menu flexibility to fit your taste. Our waiter had detailed knowledge of the wine list and food options and made sure everything was just right for us. We enjoy this restaurant to celebrate special occasions and never have been let down.
Extensive menu, very good wine selections that are affordable and some no so much. Very friendly wait staff.
All 3 of us had their rack of lamb. Prepared well. Tasted great. To start we always have the calamari. Lightly battered, so delicious. Go to this place when visiting Torrance.
Great experience.
Valentines day
Great restaurant with wonderful service. Mike's wines are reasonably priced and unique. Love this place!
New Years Eve dinner at Aliotta’s Via Firenze was great. We were seated immediately. I’ll have to say the service was slow, it took forever to get our check and pay. But the food was delicious and the company was terrific so we didn’t mind too much. I was very happy that we spent our holiday evening here!
Michael and staff are superb.
The freshest fish ( in this case Chilean Sea Bass) as well as superior and authentic veal scallopini with scampi were so tender and prepared perfectly with vegetable sides.
House recommended Barolo and Amarone were top notch and good value.
Our thx to Micheal for another great dining experience.
K and T.
Friends recommended this gem of a restaurant and we decided to enjoy a holiday date night. The food is delicious and very authentic Italian. We loved the warm and wonderful atmosphere and our waiter was wonderful. We also met the great chef who is very proud of the dishes he creates. We will be returning soon!
Definitely we will be back. We lived it. It was a first time there and we celebrated our 29 anniversary
Always a great experience
Food is delicious service is perfectly attentive and ambiance is quaint
Place is elegant! #holeinthewall gem highly recommed for date nights, birthday celebration and girls brunch date. Food is fresh and very good! :)
Delizioso,
Aliotta's Via Firenze is unique by staying true to Authentic Italian Cooking while ensuring quality, freshness and innovation meet the highest standards.
The Service was impeccable, the food Delicious, the tables are spaced allowing conversation to flow with the wide choices of wine. Highly recommend Aliotta's Via Firenze.
8 diners who thoroughly enjoyed the ambience as well as the food. Quiet setting and superb service.
Always a great meal and fantastic setting to dine in. I recommend it if you haven’t tried it before.
Great authentic Italian food. Outstanding service and great for good conversation.
Excellent menu with lots of choices and specials. The grilled Veal chop was perfect. Carpaccio app was excellent. Loved this place.
I've been coming here to this Italian gem for years. I brings associates, customers and of course my wife who loves this restaurant. Try it if you've never been here. You'll love it.
Don't be put off by the parking lot but the restaurant inside is really nice and simple but elegant while rustic and clean, very encouraging.
The menu is excellent with lot of variety and some nice specials and our server was excellent explaining these and answering questions and providing recommendations.
The ambiance was somewhat spoiled by a very loud pair of couples not close to us while restaurant was otherwise quiet so could be very loud when busy (no sound deadening).
Food was average at best and certainly not worth the prices, pleased with flexibility to make substitutions but didn't come out great, had to redo one dish which wasn't much better second time.
And being a quiet sunday night when another 2 tables turned up we had to request water several times and ended up pouring our own wine, not great.
No plans to be back eating in the area and debatable if would go back to give a second chance, as little else probably would or more likely drive a bit further away.
And all such a shame, this is an excellent restaurant with great character and ambiance and can be service but just needs to step up in kitchen.
We've been here a few times, and it's always fantastic no matter what you order.
We were so satisfied everything on good taste an excellent hospitality. And the owner is very good person. We're coming soon again. Thanks a lot!!
Hidden location, old fashioned atmosphere, but the food was excellent. Professional waiters.
Good atmosphere for a date or having conversation.
Another nice dining experience at Aliotta's. Enjoyed early dinner with family visiting from out of town.
I've eaten here a few times, and have never failed to be amazed at the quality of the food.
They do have a lot of variety, and are very accommodating for customizing dishes. Sometimes this bothers me as a few things done fresh are better than say, something like at the "Cake" factory where you figure everything is frozen.
After having said that, everything we had was fresh and delicious.
I had the salmon Risotto and it was superb; my date had the chicken Parmesan. Both were delicious (hey, I occasionally take a bit of something non-pescetarian).
The calamari appetizer was superbly seasoned, although it could have been slightly more rare I think.
I'm amazed there weren't more people here. You wouldn't think it was located where it was - inside it is quite delightful. Parking and access is easy.
In the words of my date this is a "Do over"
Foods were good but a bit pricey for the value. Good ambiance. Since there was only 1 waiter who took the order, we had to wait a while for our turn. When I ordered a glass of particular pinot, the bus person brought the wine in a small carafe and poured it into the glass. I wondered if that wine was actually what I ordered because I didn't see the bottle itself. I don't think I will go back there again.
Exelente servicio, comida exquisita, buen ambiente.
A hidden gem! Great food, and atmosphere!
Great selection, pasta, seafood, etc.
The food was well prepared and the service was very attentive. Very nice dining experience entertaining guest from out of town.
I forgot about this place. Until my girlfriend and I were trying to figure out a place to take our mother's for Mother's Day. Everything about this place was amazing. They had our reservation. They seated us right when we got to the restaurant. Then, the service was great, and the food was even better. I will go back in a second. It is a great restaurant with great food.
Mothers Day
I have eaten at Aliotta's a few times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food, quantity of the food or the service. The price point makes Aliotta's to not be a daily dining choice, but perfect for special occasions or business lunches.
Very accommodating. We were in a rush (unfortunately) and they delivered our meal and settled the check promptly.
Although I usually go to Via Firenze for dinner with my husband alone or with friends, I chose it for a business lunch on this day. The atmosphere was conducive to good discussion, as the space is not noisy even when several tables are occupied. The service is as good as it gets and the menu has something on it for everyone; comfort food to healthy options with protein and vegetables being the components of many offerings. Everyone loved it and we really appreciated the owner's graciousness when we overstayed to talk business.
Been coming here for years. I believe they've upscaled the menu and service and now in addition to being just a good neighborhood place, it could be considered a special-occasion restaurant as well. Excellent Nirtgetn Italian cuisine and service is friendly and a touch of elegance.
The restaurant was very nice and quiet. They have a good wine list to pick from. The waiter was was an older gentleman and took good care of us.
