Alioto's is truly a San Francisco icon and the fact that it has been around almost 100 years is a testament to this legendary restaurant. One of the best seafood restaurants in all of SF to this day, and the location of this restaurant right on Fisherman's Wharf with epic views only serves to enhance the overall dining experience. The fact that it was crab season was an added benefit of dining here as we got to sample some of the freshest dungeness crab in all the US. And it was spectacular of course. The lobster ravioli and Alioto's risotto are also must trys. The service was a little slow as it was extremely crowded the night we were there, but that became an afterthought once we received our first round of drinks. All in all a fun and memorable night and it was the perfect place to celebrate. Thank you Alioto's, we will be back!

The best seafood restaurant in San francisco. Was treated like family. Been there many times and will be back many more times. 6 people for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and not one problem.

Overall good food and experience. The server was pleasant as well as the front desk personnel. If there was an elevator, I did not see, would have made my experience better instead of going up 3 floors stairs.

VERY disappointed. Waiter did not get drink order or meal order straight. Waited quite some time to be seated despite reservation.
FOOD: really not okay. One meal was sent back... chicken tasted 'off' and the fish trio choice was bland fish soaked in oil. Manager was. rey accommodating but it didn’t change the taste of the food. More unbelievable was the side of seasonal vegetables turned out to the what tasted like canned peas. No other vegetable!
Definitely would NOT return.

The food was fantastic. The host and hostess were delightful. The server’s assistant was a pleasure. The service was terrible. When he was actually around, he was slow, inattentive, and rude. Another server was giving amazing service to the table next to us and ignored me when I tried to get his attention. I wouldn’t go back.

While the atmosphere was very good, the service was a bit slow. It wasn't terrible but could have been a little faster. Also, while the food was good, it was more expensive than I thought it was worth.

High priced restaurant with, at best, mediocre food. One entré was undercooked and had to be sent back. The other was good but a bit too much grease. The tiramisu was quite good.

From making reservations to paying the bill, our experience and dinner was fantastic. Your hostess was friendly and accommodating (and should be doing stand-up comedy). Our waiter Pavel, gave great recommendations for crab cakes & sole. The ravioli was creamy & wonderful. Will recommend!

The food was great the view of the wharf amazing . The wait staff was courteous and friendly. We did have to wait nearly 10 minutes before the waiter came to our table initially ( he was more interested in the table next to us (that was seated after us)). Overall it was a great dining experience.

Great old school restaurant right on the water. It's not just for tourists - we are local. The wait staff was professional and coordinated. Great service. Great San Francisco sourdough with olive oil to munch. Drinks came fast. Water glasses filled. You want something, you get it. Great food. The crab was fresh and delicious. Tables look out onto the water with cute fishing boats.

We were in SFO for a 60th birthday celebration. There were 10 of us (4 under 11) ranging in age from 18 months to 65 years old. Jose was our waiter he was very accommodating and made all of us feel welcome. The service and food was excellent all made better by having Jose as our waiter. All the other staff were great as well. The seafood risotto was awesome

This is a "must" stop for me and my co-worker each year we come in to San Francisco for Dreamforce. The menu is incredible and the service is something that is rarely experienced these days ... you are made to feel genuinely special and important. They have maintained high standard manners in the service industry. And the food is absolutely delicious.

We were in town for a business conference and decided that we wanted to find a seafood restaurant on the wharf. Alioto's was able to accommodate our group of 8 in a short window of time. The service was very friendly, and we appreciate how courteous they were. The food was also outstanding and we recommend the Swordfish, Cioppino, and seafood pasta!

Booked in for 1 for dinner which is always intimidating but the wait staff made me comfortable. The Caesar salad was authentic and definitely something to have if you enjoy an original. The truffled sea bass was excellent, with potato mash, porcinis, and roasted pearl onions. What a nice treat from the ordinary.

The wait staff were second to none. Very attentive and always on the ready for any need. The service definitely sets this restaurant apart from others. What a nice experience. Overall a fantastic experience.

The food was great, but the service was terrible. The server barely came by our table; water glasses were left empty, and we ended up going up to the bar to get our own drinks because we saw them sitting up there for so long. Definitely not the quality of service I would expect for the high price tag.

Food was very good. The bouillabaisse was just okay. The seafood was good, but the broth lacked that vinegary/acidic quality that I like. Service was excellent. Love the Italian mom and pop feeling you get there. On a side note, my daughter had left her purse there. They were great to help her out.

This is a Fisherman’s Wharf institution with a charming view of the harbor waterfront! The signature grilled Dungeness crab was spectacular and I highly recommend it. Seafood spaghetti was also wonderful. The prawn cocktail was served with large fresh shrimp but the cocktail sauce was milder and less appealing than I like, but still good. A fantastic dining experience!

We had a 5:00 reservation as we were going to a show afterwards. We waited no less than 10-15 minutes to be greeted at our table. This is an upscale establishment and we were very disappointed that no one even greeted us for so long. We actually were about to leave when a gal noticed and a server came to greet us.
