Great burgers, apps and beer and wine selection. Very friendly, attentive service.
We both had the streak salad, the garlic mashed potatoes, and to start the we shared the Brussels sprouts. Cocktail-wise, we enjoyed The Smoke Show. We loved it so much we ordered a second one. Everything was fabulous and our server, Sam was amazing!
Thank you,. We will be back!
The service was top-notch, however the food was mediocre. Pretty expensive for the quality/quantity. Would not recommend.
Understandable that they seemed to be working understaffed. We made reservations and showed up on time but didn’t get seated for at least 20 mins later. Then, that took another 20 mins before our order could go in. However, the few staff they had were very friendly!!
Delicious cocktails and great food (must have the fried chicken).
The staff was incredibly rude and very slow
We actually booked this restaurant because it didn’t have a NYE menu, but when we got there we had no choice but to have it. The food was very good, but not worth the 100$ in our opinion, but we guess it’s the same in all restaurants in the area especially for NYE. We were surprised to see that a 20% tip was already in the bill, we thought it was weird, though the service was fair.
I was super excited to try this place, especially looking at the rating. However, it did not live up to my expectations. For starters we were not informed that it was a fixed menu and each person had to pay $100, which wasn’t a big deal but still it would have been nice to tell our party of 6. Then one of the bowls of soups had a hair in it, the server fix it but still. And then one of the steaks was blue, I don’t mean rare but actually blue as in under cooked, we had to send it back. And the cherry on top was when the waiter said they don’t take more than 4 cards because “it takes too long to process” like seriously! But the food was good I’d rate it 3.5/5 but the service was horrible, and we won’t be coming back.
Great staff!!! All in all a good time with good food.
Food and service were top-notch! We got great, thoughtful recommendations from server and host. Started with excellent Butternut Squash Curry Bisque, then enjoyed surprising Fried Chicken (seasoning mix is tasty even though it has look of Shake & Bake), Lamb Chops (tzatziki and chimichurri are perfect complements), and Salmon (cooked perfectly, and asparagus & mango salsa complement it nicely). Drinkwise, loved Celtic Mule and thought Irishman and Smoke Screen(?) drinks were very good. For dessert, Doughnuts and Bread Pudding were WONDERFUL! Only issues were LOUD party next to us (nothing Aliment could do about that) and my companions being distracted by "Planet of the Apes" on nearby TV (again, not really restaurant's fault). Excellent experience!
Very attentive staff that checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Great food, ambiance and overall experience!
Food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Great ambiance
Great food! Friendly crew. Loved the ambience. Informal bar/cafe cross.
So fun! Neighborhood feel, great staff, comfortable food
Amazing food and cocktails!! We would go back any day!
Very good food for fair price….. self made , self
This restaurant uses the farm to table model and the food is outstanding. The service was ex excellent too.
We enjoyed our meal at Aliment. Excellent burger and fries, salad, mushroom pasta. All delicious, as was the bread pudding dessert. Our only complaint was the noise level— very loud pumping music inside was unpleasant; we moved outside under the heat lamps and were very happy there.
All of the dishes ordered were quite tasty. Everyone had the brussel sprouts - which are a must-have when dining here. A perfect blend of balsamic and savory - and cooked to al dente perfection. I had the wild mushroom fettuccine - the waiter had the perfect description of this dish - addictive. It was! Others at the table had the fried chicken and grilled lamb chop .... everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
We arrived later on a Thursday, so the restaurant was not too crowded -- but the noise level was still energetic.
They seemed incredibly understaffed. Paid $22 for an overcooked burger. Our table was not ready until a half hour past our reservation. Our bartender was nice.
Great food and location. Service awesome. Noise level is only complaint…hard to hear fellow diners.
Food was ok - not great not terrible. Wine glass smelled like cleaner. Nice ambiance downstairs. Nice server. But $100 for two mediocre dinners and a glass of wine felt extreme.
Food was very overpriced and underwhelming. Server & host were outstanding. If you must go, get a burger.
Moderately sized menu with good choices. We both had salads with salmon, different salad bases. Salmon was cooked perfectly and served hot off the grill and the salads were delicious. Wait staff was attentive and nice.
Wonderful experience! From the food to the service to the outdoor seating, we loved everything about our time at Aliment! 5 stars easily given. Will be back again soon!
Scute, trendy spot in an airy space. The food was excellent and the drink selection was wonderful!
Very busy when we arrived and ended up standing outside for 15 mins past our booking time. Chicken was great. Sides are small for price. Service was good but they were clearly too busy and sometimes we struggled to get anyone's attention. It's great they are doing well but overall it was good rather than great. Super music though.
Really solid food. Very chill vibe with good drinks.
I chose this place because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent from the service to the food and the friendly atmosphere. This will be a go to place every time I visit San Francisco.
Awesome service, excellent food, all around great spot.
Overall, great ambiance and wonderful food!
Friendly service and the food was really good! Definitely recommend this place.
Service by Tony: A+
Loved the grilled salmon, Brussels sprouts, muscles, and mushroom pasta dish!
Ambiance could use a touch maintenance. A bunch of the outdoor heaters were broken, so despite some tiny overhead heaters and being dressed warmly up, it was cold. Would’ve chosen inside, but it was super loud. Up until this point— all of the above feedback would’ve yielded 5 stars. What knocked a star off for us was that at the end of our meal — which included 3 entrees, multiple drinks, several appetizers and several desserts— my friend ordered an Irish coffee (“the Irishman”). It came out barely lukewarm. When we politely asked if they could perhaps heat it up, a guy came out (not our waiter) and shrugged and said no, and gave a decidedly half-assed apology with no offer to fix the issue. It would’ve been so easy to remake or just remove from bill. Or just be nice about it. Thankfully our waiter fixed the issue but that gentleman’s attitude was kind of a bummer at the end of a great meal. Overall would dine here again and just not order any hot drinks.
Fried chicken was really, really good. Truffle fries were light on the truffle and a little damp. Drinks were imaginative and very well made / strong. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Great food and great service!
Great place for bite to eat before show @ Masonic. Interesting list of menu options for food/drink.
2nd time to visit Aliment-staff is attentive and full of personality. Pasta was perfect and salad was fresh…we’ll be back.
Covid conscious, Inside or outside dining. We sat outside, had the burger. Best fries ever, huge serving.
We went late on a Saturday night (9:15 res) and turns out we didn't need a reservation. The service and food were GREAT! I'd go back in a flash. Rated down one on value just because it is rather pricey, but it could be that I am just not used to big city prices.
Noah was our server and he did a fantastic job, helping us decide various meal choices. After our cocktail, we started with the very tasty brussel sprouts, then we each chose the delicious mushroom fettuccini with chicken. Closed with the ricotta donuts with chocolate & caramel dipping sauce…unique flavors to both, and moist yummy donuts. Was. happy with our choices but also saw other dishes that looked fantastic as well We were outside in the parklet, so the noise was low enough to be able to have a casual conversation. Going inside to use the restroom, I noticed the sound level and it’s LOUD, especially upstairs, so was glad we were outside. Overall, it was a lovely dinner and we enjoyed it all!
